This is a fantastic cover of Great Gig in the Sky.
  5. Yep, I get that, and I am very sorry it is that way. The thing is, I know there are assholes trying to impose their will on your existence. On my kid's existence. I don't need to have my amygdala plugged in to a firehose of terrifying information to know that, or to know who I'm going to vote for or against. Being subjected to alarming information continuously drains energy from me, makes me see the people that I and my kids ultimately have to find a way to coexist with as inhuman and makes me part of the problem vs part of the solution. Nothing positive is gained from that and it changes nothing about how I am going to carry forward. I am going to vote and work against those that would impose their will on your and my kid's life. I am going to make sure my kid knows that they are loved and supported unequivocally. And I'm going to recognize that there are people who are conservative that are not evil monsters no matter what anyone would proclaim on the intardnet. It is they, and people like them in the middle and the left, that are the hope for a better future.
  6. There are a good number of people who are just fucking tired of the constant politicizing of every. god. dammed. thing. I am one of them, and it is why my involvement here in the CR has relaxed, even though I have a pretty strong opinion as to who the bad guys are in this timeline. Here's a hint: the bad guys aren't our children who are struggling to reconcile the gender they were born into. People are being kept in a constant state of worry if not terror over where things are going in the US, and that is true whether you lean right or left. It is not mentally healthy to remain in a constant state of agitation and fear. We are not being groomed to be gay, or straight, or conservative or liberal. We are being groomed to be anxiety ridden supporters of an ongoing cold civil war against "them", because there is a lot more money to be made from the war than there is from the peace.
  7. That all said, as far as getting attention, it was a pretty masterful social media post.
  8. This is correct, they have no identity that is not defined by a comparison to us. We've got more turdition than the sips! We've got more heart than the sips! We've got purtier sheep than the sips! The need to try to compare and contrast their horrific Jimbo failure in some favorable way against Texas' re-ascension under Sark is just a delusional extension of that.
  9. Wouldn't have happened with this guy in the court room (RIP)
  10. I love how @Anastasis posts "Bill likes'em young", everyone pig piles on each other on a debate over whether Bill is a sexual criminal and pedophile, just a horny dumbass or something in between, and then Ana returns to a real discussion about the release with Alan Dershowitz, David Copperfield and Steven Hawking standing out. That is some serious intardnet crowd control. Bravo. Masterful gambit, sir. This is the best post in the thread at this point. Way too many otherwise smart people look at any association with Epstein as evidence of guilt for the other side. The fact that Epstein was connected to so many powerful, famous and influential people of varying ideologies is evidence of both these facts: Human depravity follows no political ideology Rich, famous and powerful people tend to be in the orbit of other rich, famous and powerful people When a person associated with Epstein is a polarizing figure, anyone who doesn't like that figure uses that association as a reason for that figure to be strung up by a rope, metaphorically or otherwise. There are a lot of people associated with Epstein, a lot for whom there is strong and direct evidence of pedophilia (I'm looking at you, Prince Andrew & Alan Dershowitz) but people just want to talk about Clinton's or Trump's connection and possible pedophilia.
  11. Only guitar adjacent, but Billy Duffy is living his best life.
  12. You can disagree. But if you go find 100 people who voted for Trump in 2020 and ask them if proven pedophiles should be summarily executed regardless of political affiliation, you are going to get a high 90% who say yes. The problem is that for a similarly large percentage, all it takes is one person saying its fake news or part of a witch hunt for them to discount any evidence that a certain someone is a pedophile.
  13. About tree fiddy (million)
  14. I am just saying that anything that might link Trump to Epstein and sexy-time with teens is gonna be portrayed as part of the deep state conspiracy to get Trump. I'm pretty sure the vast majority of republicans and democrats agree that pedophilia shouldn't be a political football. That anyone implicated in such activity should see their life disintegrated and freedom -- if not life -- forfeited. The problem is that there are a whole lot of dumb people who put zero credibility into any information that doesn't come from sources with a strong self-interest in protecting Trump. And holy fuck do those sources go to great lengths to protect Trump.
  15. If Trump is on the list, it will no doubt be brought into the witch hunt narrative. Just the Deep State deep statin’.
  16. How about we reach across the aisle Boebert style and agree that anyone who had sex with a minor through Epstein ought to be tossed in jail and shanked asap.
  17. It’s Aggy, it’s real
  18. PAC-12! PAC-12! PAC-12! This thread is fucking my Facebook algorithm more than clicking on tree fiddy anti-vax links.
  19. We failed to get much pressure on Penix last night and he developed a rhythm that really exposed our weaknesses in the secondary. We did finally start blitzing and that made Penix uncomfortable enough to throw a few incompletions and that helped give us a shot at the end. That makes me think our odds to win these games against a great QB improve dramatically with a consistent pass rush that makes them have to operate under some duress. So, where is that help going to come from? Do we have a monster pass rusher on the roster or in the pipeline? I wouldn't mind seeing what Anthony Hill might be able to do playing on the edge in passing situations. He has the athleticism and explosiveness to potentially be a disruptor.
  20. Ewers may never win a national championship, but he's playing a pretty vital role in bringing this program back to where it should be given its resources and advantages. We are entering a golden era of Texas football and will be in SEC title and playoff contention for the foreseeable future. If we keep refining and improving and not settling for what we saw last night, the stars will align at some point in the not-too-distant-future.
  21. Nothing at all to be despondent about. The program is in a great position after Sark’s 3rd season. A few things to address as others have noted, but we have set up a talent funnel for players that is as good as anyone in the country. We are going to be in playoff contention for the foreseeable future. Now we just need Sark to tweak the shit out of this motherfucker.
  22. Yo Defense: Redeem thyself
  23. Lol, our blocker’s ass forced the fumble. That is the perfect synopsis for this game.
