FUCK THIS many a road trip with no real destination but brought me closer with friends, as mentioned by someone else discovering Jerry Jeff was playing somewhere within driving distance and just going was essential growing up Texan
  4. First of all let me say I loved the show it when it was on the first time but I was still disappointed each week when it wasn't about Earl Campbell . that being said what a great show the characters oh so unique to television. A great concept for a show and every time I watch this I just love Jamie Presley more and more.

    Getting old sucks

I'm about 4 and a half months post-stroke today a buddy came by picked me up we ran errands and hooked up my brand new massage chair he took a picture of me and when I looked at it I looked so damn old as if I've aged 10 years in the past 4 months, its official i can stop caring
  8. as mentioned on another board 4 months ago I had a stroke . Sold my house moved in an apartment I'm recovering ,getting settled but I downsized so much that none of my couches fit . I've been using an old recliner and it's killing my back so purchasing a massage chair that will help with my recovery except now I need something for guest to sit in . And a love seat is what would purpose the best however trying to purchase love seat through neighborhood or Facebook marketplace is sketchy you people seem decent and clean enough so Im asking here. clean is best, cheap helps I'm still in the application process for benefits. Thank you, OU sucks.
  9. the guy that yells Freebird at the top of his lungs
  10. was gonna post Let it bleed, took too long
  11. it is very subtle and not a part of season 1 really but woven into and throughout season 2
  12. It's there and it's brilliant.
  13. Hell I happen to think every actor play their part perfectly even Shirley with the way she would say ''you are all going to hell'' so sweetly the way her and Pierce play it off of each other her and Annie chime awwwwww together and it's wonderful because it's so subtle in the background but it's always there when was the other characters says something that they find sweet I find myself going back and forth between Peirce and Abed as favorite character even at the points that are just playing one note over and over again it's done perfectly in with such adept timing it's makes the scene. Of course Donald Glover looks to be the breakout star from the whole show in he is a tremendous talent but his character would have been nothing without the Abed to play off of , And Pierces absolute cluelessness in Inappropriateness in almost every situation were some of the hardest hitting critical comedy in the show and yet there always was a vulnerability true the way he played it
  14. I DJ'd at Confetti ,Ocean club and lizard lounge. Got some great stories of Jim Kelly taking a swing at me@ 6400 Kiki Diayla actually stepped between us, Then the shark feeding at lizard lounge hark feeding lizard lounge ,sexual fee for all at confetti more celebrity sightings at ocean club even had a very small consequential part and the concept for the eliminator album. I think the 80s club scene in Houston was a last time there was a really subversive nightlife in Texas sure some of y'all have stories
  15. Peanut Butter Falcon
  16. I actually saw the go go's peppermint lounge show that was referenced in the documentary the high school trip to New York I didn't know who they were . someone suggested we go see the show in a club and I was in, it was probably being in high school and at a show in New York City Hey were fun all 5 were cute so I bought every album over the years and found it enjoyable so I consider myself a fan. I also sing along to party in the USA when I'm alone in the Jeep and need to feel special

  21. I'm glad you've chimed in always remember the original thread and subsequent post about it and you and your daughter have always been on my heart. I recently posted about my stroke and at the time the immediate aftermath I was more depressed than I've ever been and of course I felt hopeless cuz not only was a depressed but it was physically unable to do things that took for granted previously. I have now been out of the hospital and rehab and into my new apartment for 3 weeks It's still a struggle getting better but I am getting better. I still have a long way to go of course but I believe that I will get where I need to be It's because of the generosity of family and friends that supported me and even those that gifted me financially have given me the chance the time to get better. And that's what we need and there's nothing wrong with that we need support from friends and families and we need time there's no shame in it taking time and there's no shame in accepting help from friends and even strangers because often it does more for the giver than the one who has received. Hang in there brother perhaps one of these days when I can swing a golf club again you'll give me lessons I was a crappy golfer before the stroke imagine now it's even worse but at least I have an excuse. God bless
  22. I need to pay more attention to this thread
  23. Well has it been stated here and by the professionals I have 6 months to a year to recover my speech is that about 90%, my leg is probably at 50 and the arm at10:. I think that means I have 150% to go but then again I had a stroke and was never good at math
