  1. And that Mack Brown is neither wanted nor welcome to recruit in East Texas.
  2. If you say so. But you are the one being hateful here, not me.
  3. He also looks very unhealthy, like he's on chemo or something. Probably because he's living like he is still in college. I think Ketchum probably knows more about football and talent evaluation than Liucci does, and Ketchum started mailing it in and just cashing checks 20 years ago (and he was never good to begin with). Liucci is just a parrot for the A&M staff, whoever it is at the time. You know when an Aggie coaching staff is on the way out is when Billy starts criticizing them. Then they will deify the next staff. It's a strange cycle, but those rubes eat it up.
  4. Chris threw short passes too hard and too flat. His arm was pretty overrated. We have three guys on the team right now with stronger arms than Simms.
  5. He was not owed $40 million guaranteed.
  6. @Dahobbs was correct. He only throws as hard as he needs to, which is what you want from a QB. S
  7. Racism is a sin. Christians are humans and sin. If anyone acts or thinks in a racist manner, they need to confess and repent like any other sin. Like any other sin, it is nailed to the cross at Calvary. We are all made in God's image. The second greatest commandment is to love one another (and not just those who look like us). Jesus assuredly had darker skin than I do, and He is my Lord and savior. Jesus loves all of his children, no matter their skin color. Racism certainly is not limited to Christians or those of any faith. Nor is it limited to the South. Or the United States. Or with any people of a particular skin color. Racism and tribalism are prevalent all over the world. It's wrong and it is a sin.
  8. Believers do a lot more for the poor than nonbelievers. Notwithstanding your anecdotes. Talk is cheap. Money and time aren’t.
  9. Are you a believer with a personal and daily walk with Christ? It’s weird how so many non-believers want to post in this Christ followers thread. The hostility is expected though.
  10. Simms' arm was wildly, wildly overrated. At the combine when they put him on the radar, he was in the bottom third in velocity. Simms threw a pretty ball. But as a passer he was overrated. We have three guys on the team right now with stronger arms than Simms. And I liked Simms a lot. His work ethic and toughness were wildly, wildly underrated.
  11. That question was about donations of money, goods, and time to the poor. Not about donations to the church. I can assure you plenty of secular nonprofits are not efficient with money. Churches do a ton of the heavy lifting feeding, housing, and ministering to the poor. You want to know where someone's heart is, see where they spend their money and their time. The rest is just talk. If you are a healthy and employed American not giving your own money and/or time to assist the poor, you need to do better.
  12. I have a lot of friends and some family who are Aggies. They are all smart and successful people. Granted, these are mostly professionals and business owners who live in the nicer parts of Houston proper? Where do they get the mentally handicapped people who populate Texags and other A&M message boards. Are Cypress, Katy and Tomball just full of these yokels?
  13. Ordered a new Ford truck a month ago. No idea when I'll actually get it.
  14. And? Christians and everyone else pays in. Then Christians do a hell of a lot of charity work to help the poor and disadvantaged above and beyond what the government compels. It is a dumb and ignorant post to argue otherwise.
  15. Yes, Christians do nothing for the poor. No hospitals. No pregnancy crisis centers. No housing. No feeding. It's not like 1 in 7 hospitals in this country are nonprofit and Catholic -- representing 1 in 6 acute care beds. To say nothing of the Methodist or other hospitals. It is all the multitude of atheist and agnostic charities that pick up the slack. It is also well known that atheists and agnostics are much more charitable giving their money than Christians. What an ignorant post.
  16. Venables was nothing special as a DC when he actually had the play calling duties at OU. At Clemson he played against shitty, shitty offenses in the ACC with little talent and less coaching innovation while coordinating a team with top 4 defensive talent. I am struggling to think why OU fans even think he is a good DC. He got his ass ran off once he was the playcallng DC after Mike Stoops and Bo Pelini left (the actual DCs at OU when they had good defenses). Stoops brought Mike back to coach the defense and call plays, and Venables was being demoted. They had bad defenses when Venables was in charge.
  17. Looks like the starts walking towards the sidelines while the ball is still in the air.
  18. Been out of town, cannot wait to get home tonight and watch the game. Still have only seen parts of it. I literally love Ewers, Roschon, Bijan, Sanders, and the rest of the team.
