  1. Holy shit... if true Very Unconfirmed Reports right now, but some Sources in Syria are claiming that Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, the Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Forces, has been Assassination in an Attack near the Syrian Capital of Damascus. Hajizadeh is believed to have been the Senior Commander who planned and ordered the Iranian Ballistic and Cruise Missile Attack in April against Israel.
  2. A severely underreported and overlooked element of Putin's war. These types of stories, including how these children were abducted, will be coming out for years This is a very disturbing video that needs to be made public. In the video, a heavily intoxicated Russian woman named Elya admits she's been touching (meaning beating) a Ukrainian girl that she adopted from Mariupol ‘for as long as the war has been going on’. The video with her confession was published on July 28 on the TG channel ‘K-Inform Surgut’ with the following comment: “A certain lady, sitting on social networks with signs of intoxication, tells everyone that she adopted a girl from Mariupol and regularly beats her. Judging by her story, she openly hates her and starts fights with her. I ask the guardianship service to respond and take action. Thank you in advance." In the video, Elya gives the person she's talking to her address. It’s 5 Lenin Street in Surgut. #NAFOfellas, supporters of Ukraine, and everyone with a heart, please share!
  3. A well-known Russian military blogger reports that the Mi-8 shot down near Donetsk today was quite possibly shot down by a Ukrainian drone during takeoff: "Yesterday we wrote about the enemy’s attempts to operate drones against our army aviation. Unfortunately, preliminary, today they succeeded. They caught a Rosgvardia Mi-8. Caught at the moment of takeoff. Moreover, the range from the contact line is very significant."
  4. It keeps getting better - HUR struck a Russian base in Syria: "The target of the attack was Russian military equipment at the Kuweires airbase, which is located east of Aleppo and occupied by Russian forces." Kyiv Post states: "The released videos purport to show key moments of the attack: first, a Russian mobile EW complex is destroyed, followed by drones attacking Russian military objects at the airbase itself."
  5. We ended up doing the Cat Gap Trail to John Rock Loop hike. It was about 6 miles but not too strenuous and overall excellent.
  6. Came here to post this. Here's the embed:
  7. The second large-scale assault by Russian troops in the amount of 57 (!) units of armored vehicles of the positions of the 79th Airborne Assault Brigade The following were involved: 10 tanks, 47 armored fighting vehicles with infantry, 10 motorcycles and 1 buggy. Despite the huge amount of equipment, the assault was repulsed, 12 armored fighting vehicles, 8 tanks, 9 motorbikes and buggies were hit. 36 occupiers were killed and 32 were wounded.
  8. China's trade with Russia is getting so difficult that payments can take half a year and most bank transfers are returned https://www.businessinsider.com/russia-economy-china-yuan-payments-delay-months-bounce-back-sanctions-2024-7?utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter&utm_campaign=business-sf

  10. Only six Ukrainian pilots trained to fly new F-16 fighter jets https://www.telegraph.co.uk/world-news/2024/07/28/only-six-ukrainian-pilots-trained-to-fly-new-f-16-jet/
  11. Life under Russian occupation Even worse (NSFW or life, unless you're Vic): https://x.com/nexta_tv/status/1817205458844729554?t=jzZ808IO0Bi69q5G-LTayA&s=19 That's how things are done in Russia. "If you show me your fuc**ng badge again, I'll smash your fu***ng face in." In Krasnodar, a naked woman stuck a fork in a policeman's temple and beat him up. The policeman, who had come to deal with noise complaints from his neighbor Katerina, encountered unexpected resistance. During the conflict, she declared: "Where is the registration full-fledged?" and continued to present physical arguments. As a result, the injured policeman refused to be hospitalized.
  12. Russian military reporter Alexander Kharchenko reports that logistics on the Russian side are getting worse over time due to the abundance of drones on the Ukrainian side. He says that even a year ago in Robotyne they were dismounted 1 kilometer from the positions, but now dismounting from armour takes place 8-10 km from the front. However, there are no available solutions to the problem yet.
  13. Highlights: Russian forces advance at Yasnobrodivka, Krasnohorivka, Lozuvatske and Prohres. Ukrainian forces are losing slowly but decisively in this area and Pokrovsk is now less than 20 km away. Note that DeepState's map has much further Russian gains west of Avdiivka, but we haven't seen geolocations for them yet. The situation appears dire for Ukrainian forces in the area. No change in Zaporizhia or Kherson, but north of Bakhmut and in Kharkiv/Luhansk Russian forces have made gains. Map: uacontrolmap.com
  14. Some direct NATO vs Russia action: BREAKING: A NATO state has started shooting down Russian drones over Ukrainian airspace. A new video shows Romanian Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft guns shooting down Russian suicide drones across the river separating Romania from Ukraine near Izmail. Romania was forced to take action after at least 1 suicide drone hit 11 km deep into its territory and additional drones were flying their way. 🇷🇴🇺🇦
  15. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has met with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in China The website of the Chinese Foreign Ministry published a report saying that Kuleba allegedly said during a meeting in Guangzhou with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi that Kyiv is ready for negotiations with Moscow, but they should be rational and peace-oriented. The publication on the website of the Chinese Foreign Ministry also says that Kuleba said that Ukraine allegedly supports China's position on Taiwan and will adhere to the "one China" principle. It should be noted that Taiwan has been providing aid to Ukraine since the beginning of the Russian invasion, and Ukrainian officials visited the island in 2022. Kyiv has not yet commented on this message, and the video with excerpts of the ministerial meeting, which is publicly available, does not contain any such statements by the Ukrainian minister. This morning in Moscow, Andrei Torgashov, Deputy Chief of the 89th Satellite Communications Center of the Russian Armed Forces, was blown up in his Toyota Land Cruiser. The explosion occurred in a parking lot on Sinyavinskaya Street. Torgashov's legs were torn off. The cause of the car explosion was the detonation of an explosive device.
