  1. Any chance you still have this link? We're looking to visit Ashville on short notice and are looking for things to do (best hikes, rafting, kayaking, etc) and places to stay. Food recs also appreciated.
  2. They held that way longer than I thought they would Can't we arrest this piece of shit immediately upon arrival
  3. Compiling different posts here from opposite sides, including Rybar, so keep that in mind The US military attaché who was found dead in Kyiv was engaged in the delivery of F-16s to Ukraine The deceased was Richard Harry Kirlin, the relevant obituary was posted on the Legacy website. The man worked in the US Air Force and the Pentagon. He died of cardiac arrest at the age of 57 on June 25 in a hotel room. 🇺🇸🇺🇦 Details have emerged of the death of the attaché at the US embassy in Kyiv at the end of June: the deceased was military adviser Richard Harry Kirlin, who had been in his last post for only 10 days. According to information online, the American had a very rich record of service - during his career he held positions in the Air Force, the Central Command of the Armed Forces and information technology, as well as in the State Department in missions in Mauritania, Honduras and Saudi Arabia. In Ukraine he was engaged in the organization of deliveries of F-16 fighter jets. According to the official version, Kirlin died in his hotel room at the Hilton, with no signs of violence found on his body. Later, the media, citing certain sources, even added that he "suffered from high cholesterol". ❗️His sudden death almost immediately after his arrival in Ukraine, his occupation and details of his biography give some reason to believe that the U.S. military advisor died under circumstances somewhat different from those publicly stated. For example, in the course of a strike on one of the airfields or command posts.
  4. 810th brigade is getting hit!!! from russian tg "Once again, in several directions, FPV operators set up an ambush.. Be careful. This is not a story where a couple of drones stick into a loaf... It happens like this - one or two drones are looking for a target. As soon as they are found, they work on one at a time, one minute apart. At this time, another 5-6 drones fly out and burn equipment and people to dust. Then a pause.. What happens next, and here carefully! The evacuation group arrives and about 6 more drones work on it. In total, there were 3 waves in 30 minutes. In terms of quantity, this is about 15 drones. In terms of losses - 3 vehicles, 4x200 and 7x300. The wounds are serious." The situation described above is real, from our fellow physician.
  5. Edit: sorry, just missed it and can't delete embedded video
  6. Legendary US Air Force F-16 pilot Dan Hampton is ready to defend the skies of Ukraine. Dan Hampton is the best F-16 Pilot in American history. He is a retired lieutenant colonel with 151 combat missions to his credit, is ready to to Fly Ukrainina F-16's to combat Russian agression.
  7. Might be time for that "you lost another general?" meme Embedded version of the video I posted earlier for those who didn't click through. Worth the watch:
  8. Russian military blogger Anatoly Radov acknowledges the worsening situation in the Kharkiv region for Russian forces, especially near Hlyboke. Ukrainian forces have been conducting counterattacks the past week(s) and Russians are gradually retreating. "Hlyboke, the situation is getting worse. Guys are standing in the village itself, despite the shitty situation," he said. Russia has clearly improved training for its airborne units
  9. Great Britain did NOT give permission to use Storm Shadow missiles deep into the territory of russia, — The Telegraph The new Prime Minister Keir Starmer said that his policy has not changed on this issue. But he clarified that there is permission to attack Crimea. But strikes against the russian Federation, in his opinion, can lead to escalation. The most disgusting words in the last 28 months: escalation, condemnation.
  10. After the attack on the Okhmatdyt children's hospital, a Russian pilot contacted Ukrainian military intelligence and passed on data that helped identify 30 commanders of the Russian heavy bomber division, according to sources of @pravda_eng in Ukraine's Main Intelligence Directorate. He wrote that he was shocked by the attack on the children's hospital, so he decided to hand over to the Ukrainian side documents related to the activities of his military unit, as well as private photos of the command staff of the 22nd Heavy Bombing Aviation Division. The array of information includes documents from the personnel files of senior officers, personal data of Russian military personnel and their families, etc.
  11. Wow. I hope someone came to rescue them
  12. Fascinating example of disinformation coming out of Ukraine today. The disinformation narrative is that it wasn’t Russia who bombed the hospital; it was a misfiring Ukrainian missile. Fortunately, the fact that Jackson Hinkle is saying it is an easy way to prove that it’s bullshit. Around 40.5% of his followers are fake or bot accounts, by the way. He’s simply a Russian disinformation super-spreader account. I’ve written an extensive analysis of how his account is amplified by bots on my S*bstack. I’ll drop the link in the replies, or it’s in my bio.
  13. Argentina has decided to send weapons to Ukraine, as stated by its representative at the Latin American Right-Wing Congress in Brazil. Defense Minister Luis Alfonso Petri emphasized the importance of supporting countries fighting for their freedom and democracy. Additionally, Argentina will participate in the peace summit in Kyiv.
  14. This makes a lot more sense. Well done. Ukraine says it fooled Russia into striking fake planes and air defense systems with Iskander-M ballistic missiles https://www.businessinsider.com/ukraine-says-fooled-russia-strike-fake-targets-iskander-missiles-2024-7
  15. From an area we haven't heard much about recently
