This Russian ammunition storage in the Belgorod Region has been hit and destroyed. You can clearly hear secondary explosions. It has to be noted that again Russians positioned this military target in the middle of a civilian neighborhood. At least, you can see normal houses in the foreground. Belgorod Region is now more than ever in the cross hairs of long range weapons, especially Western-made weapons, and it is all related to Russia’s blunder in attacking Kharkiv Region. It is the boomerang which resulted from Putin’s latest miscalculation BREAKING 🚨 Ukrainian naval drone may have sunk a large landing ship in Yeysk last night - Crimean Wind channel reports At night, around midnight , a Ukrainian UAV attacked a Russian ship near the port of Yeisk (point two) and the ship, preliminary, went to accompany the cruiser "Moscow" . In the morning, all information about the attack was deleted from all public pages."

Some early reporting from both sides that the captured Israeli, Noa Argamani, was held hostage in the home of a journalist for the Palestine Chronicle (US based and 501 c3 nonprofit news org) and spokesman for the Hamas Ministry of Labor. He, his wife, and his father, a doctor, were reportedly killed in the operation. He also seems to have done freelance work for Al Jazeera Full text of below tweet: This kind of blew up, so let me clear up the confusion as to where things stand as of now. 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐝: 🔸Abdallah Aljamal was a journalist for the Palestine Chronicle, a US-based 501c3 🔸He was the spokesperson for Hamas's Ministry of Labor 🔸He was NOT a journalist for Al Jazeera. Yes, we all got that wrong. (Doesn't mean Al Jazeera isn't still a Hamas mouthpiece though, because it absolutely is) 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐝: 🔸That Israeli hostages were held by Abdallah Aljamal In an initial testimony documenting the killings committed by the Israeli army in the Nuseirat camp today, the @EuroMedHR reported that the Israeli army used a ladder to enter the home of Dr. Ahmed Al-Jamal. The army immediately executed 36-year-old Fatima Al-Jamal upon encountering her on the staircase. The forces then stormed the house and executed her husband, journalist Abdullah Al-Jamal, 36, and his father, Dr. Ahmed, 74, in front of his grandchildren. The army also shot their daughter, Zainab, 27, who sustained serious injuries. https://www.i24news.tv/en/news/israel-at-war/artc-gazan-civilians-held-rescued-israeli-hostage-noa-argamani-in-their-home-report

Haha. The "mountain's" response is worth including: NEW: Chinese officials are forced to apologize after a hiker discovers a secret water pipe feeding China’s tallest waterfall Millions of tourists visit the 1,024-foot-tall Yuntai Mountain Waterfall annually, attracted by its ancient geological formations over a billion years old ‘I didn't expect to meet everyone this way. As a seasonal scenery I can't guarantee that I will be in my most beautiful form everytime you come to see me,’ - social media post from officials for Yuntai Mountain Geopark ‘I made a small enhancement during the dry season only so I would look my best to meet my friends.’ Chinese social media users were still infuriated by the decision ‘It's not respecting the natural order, and not respecting the tourists’ one user said ‘How could it be called the No.1 waterfall anymore’ another user said

In relation to the conversation about the current state of things, I haven't seen the energy issues discussed much here. Before the war, Ukraine was a top energy producer in Europe. Now, they have multiple blackouts a day 3-4 hours at a time. Businesses and services are essentially only able to function if they have a generator. Russia has done significant damage to Ukraine's energy infrastructure over the last few months by taking advantage of Ukraine's air defense shortages and continues to do damage in this regard. This is a serious issue and will become all the more pressing as fine, and winter, drag on. I'm hoping some of these defense packages and the loans being given help them address both the defense and energy infrastructure issues but I worry the energy side in particular is not so simply solved.

France has detained a Russian terrorist who planned to blow up a cargo with military aid to Ukraine amid the arrival of President Zelensky in the country. The French PNAT anti-terrorism prosecutors office detained a Russian agent who intended to blow up military equipment intended for delivery to Ukraine. This was reported by Le Journal du Dimanche media. The name of the detainee has not been given. According to Le Figaro, he is a 26-year-old man who was born in Donbas, held a pro-Russian position, and "fought for the Russian army for two years." During the search in his room, materials for making explosive devices, small arms, several passports, and cell phones were found. The suspect was detained "immediately" after he accidentally detonated acetone peroxide in a hotel room while attempting to build an improvised explosive device. He was taken to hospital with burns and arrested on June 5 on charges of participation in a terrorist criminal association and possession of explosives. 📹 France 3 Normandie

I'm so confused about why the post you quoted says "-Matt" when it doesn't say that in his original post.

I wouldn't say optimistic- just less pessimistic than a month or so ago. The influx of weapons along with policy and rhetoric shifts have contributed significantly to this change.

The orc is crying that they are being killed in the Kharkiv region, that they are sitting without water and food. Their commanders are butchers. For a week they were given one loaf of bread. They collect rainwater. He says he's hallucinating because he hasn't drunk water for a long time. He also writes that he wants to die.

26% of Fort Worth’s single family homes are owned by companies
KYHorn replied to crash_davis's topic in Daily Texan
It's also worth considering why supply hasn't kept up in a way that disincentivizes institutional/corporate interest. An approach that discourages this corporate behavior in the short term but also addresses supply issues for the long term is probably a healthy balance. -

It's definitely a problem, but they admitted this number likely included investors who own one or a few rental homes: I also didn't love the way the article was written. They define owner-occupied homes but don't mention it anywhere else, so are they just using it as a binary owner-occupied vs commercially owned? If so, where do the individual investors who don't have LLCs but just own under their own name and don't live at the address (meeting 2/3 of the criteria for "commercially owned") get lumped? That makes me wonder if the "AND" in the "commercially owned" inclusion criteria was actually used as an OR. On the other hand, perhaps they had additional categories that aren't being defined here, in which case, the only caveats that need to be addressed are the individual investors who are protecting themselves using an LLC for a couple of houses, and the fact that many homes are passed on to children through trusts for any number of reasons but are not commercially owned in the way they seem to be indicated. A better breakdown is needed, but I agree that corporate ownership is a problem that needs to be addressed. My understanding is that is was particularly bad in the first 2 years of COVID. -
https://x.com/JulianRoepcke/status/1797915578331808008?t=j43jTy5jM2VMR3nPLt2Qlg&s=19 This admin needs to decide which side of history they want to be on. History will already look disfavorably on their overriding fear of escalation that has been repeatedly proven unfounded. Continuing down this path will reward Russia with Ukrainian land. I hope they actually present a thorough plan for Ukraine as required by the last aid bill, and I hope it concludes with Ukrainian victory.

Frontline report: Russian forces suffer disastrous defeat in Chasiv Yar canal crossing offensive In a tactical failure, Russian forces attempting to cross the canal in Chasiv Yar and advance on the Novi District were swiftly encircled and eliminated by Ukrainian ambushes, losing two BMD infantry fighting vehicles, a Tiger armored car, and a T-90M tank. It appears Russia are now struggling to even get to the 1st lines. This is the way it should be. It’s things like attacking the Russian rear, cutting off supply lines and destroying formations before they cross the border which will allow us to regain the initiative, largely caused by the Shell Hunger and our inept understanding that Russia has declared war on not just UKraine, but the entire West!

No gore, but not a pleasant video. Russian "Z-bloggers" share a video where Russian soldiers are humiliating Ukrainian PoWs. According to preliminary information, this took place in the Kharkiv direction where Russians are attempting an offense. The video notes beatings, humiliation, threats, imitation of shooting. Ukrainian Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets has written official letters to International Red Cross Committee and the UN so they file this fact.

"Denys Yaroslavsky, commander of a reconnaissance battalion in Ukraine’s 57th Brigade, entered the border town of Vovchansk on May 2, accompanied by four battalions of exhausted troops. Fresh from the battlefield in a different northeastern city, they soon realized their new positions were the first line of defense — and that only 200 troops were already stationed in the town. When Russian forces pushed in just over a week later, he said, 'we lost almost the entire battalion.'" @AlexHortonTX @siobhan_ogrady @michaelbirnbaum @nakashimae Kostiantyn Khudov washingtonpost.com/national-secur… "Yaroslavsky and his reconnaissance battalion were hunkered down in Vovchansk just hoping to survive. That day, he said, his troops weathered an 'insane' number of glide bomb strikes — more than 40 in 24 hours." "Kozhemyako, the founder of Khartia, also said his troops had suffered punishing hits as Washington deliberated the policy shift. Over the past 20 days, he said, they have come under 250 glide bomb strikes, attacks so powerful that even those who are not badly wounded or killed are often traumatized and concussed by the shock waves. After the airstrikes, Russian ground troops then storm their positions, he said."

A Russian supply base in the industrial district of Shebekino, Belgorod Region, Russia, was wiped out this morning. In the debris field, parts of a missiles can be seen. Russian propaganda initially claimed that a civilian market was hit, but the location is neither civilian nor the debris seen on the pictures. It proves that Ukrainian Forces are starting to destroy Russian military support bases for their incursion in Kharkiv Region. An overview of Ukrainian attacks with both missiles and drones (long-range UAVs and naval drones) in and around occupied Crimea during 2024 that caused confirmed damage. In recent weeks, Ukraine has increased the pace of attacks, through new ATACMS deliveries, but also through the use of its own drones and missiles, especially in the south and southeast of Crimea. This is how it should be done:
