  1. Do they have the four in hand recipe in the book? May be cocktail I’ve ever had.
  2. Last night I got the text that I was one of the high bidders for GTS at a local shop. I’d offered $305. When I get there today some confusion ensued as they thought they’d already delivered my bottle because someone with the same first name came to claim it today. Anyway, after a brief but somewhat tense conversation they figure out the issue. Fortunately they had an extra bottle that they let go for about retail ($140) since I took the Kentucky Owl off their hands too (also for about retail $280). Both are for consumption but feels like quite a deal considering the secondary prices for each. Merry Christmas...
  3. Just got my 90 day aged ribeye from HEB. Calling them fragrant would be an understatement. Mrs. BW insisted on lighting a candle in the kitchen.
  4. New found respect for the #BothSides positions
  5. So the “Do Nothing” democrats are doing something - impeachment. And the president, who uses that description deridingly, also did nothing.
  6. 2016 per Whisky Advocate. Review below. George T. Stagg, 72.05% Bourbon/Tennessee | $90 Distilled in 2001, this year’s release is a departure from recent releases, which were complex and nicely balanced. It’s more aggressive, with tannins and oak dominating, and lacking the body and sweetness to balance it. It’s my least favorite of this year’s offerings. Dark chocolate, toffee, tobacco, and dried fruit round out the palate and offer some comfort. Buffalo Trace Antique Collection 2016 Reviewed by: John Hansell (Winter 2016)
  7. It’s a special release that changes annually. This year was the first one that was essentially a true bourbon. Last year (Chapter 2), I think it was a blend of American and Canadian whiskies. I’d pay close attention to which one you’re seeing. I think they all get good reviews but some can be polarizing because of the experimental approach. Chapter 2 was sitting on the shelf at a local store until last month so I can’t rule out it’s what you’re seeing.
  8. This was on my most wanted list. Made my day when the store owner pulled it from under the counter.
  9. We’ve truly jumped the shark if anyone believes trump would put petty personal issues over broader interests and making a good decision weighing only the merits. Thanks for bringing this frivolous matter to our attention.
  10. Someone needs to tell them Washington owned slaves and then retake the poll.
  11. Also, Hunter is more qualified in Ukrainian energy than junior is writing the English language.
  12. My ol' man, he was never too smart. He says to me, 'You weren't born with much of a brain, ya know, so uh, ya better start using your body, right?
