  1. Same crowd that says minority victims of LEO violence could avoid it by following orders 🤷
  2. Credit where credit is due. He does adhere to her teachings.
  3. This is Jesse. He joined our family about 2 years ago. We don’t know his story. He was abandoned and nearly killed when tranquilized by animal control. The vet who treated him knew us and that we had other vizslas in the family. We adopted him. He is, quite possibly, the sweetest animal to ever walk this planet. He can be slow to accept new people which we assume relates to being mistreated previously. But once familiar he won’t leave your side. I’m grateful that Kristi Noem wasn’t his prior owner.
  4. This is Gus. He joined our family about 6 years ago. As a puppy, he was released from service dog school after biting a trainer. We adopted him afterwards. He is, quite possibly, the dumbest animal to ever walk this planet. His dumbassery has provided our family countless hours of happiness. He is also one of the most loving and gentle dogs I’ve ever known. I’m grateful that Kristi Noem wasn’t his prior owner.
  5. My assumption is no and that’s why there’s some truth to her comment. Under Trump she didn’t have a restaurant and was neither making nor losing money. Now she runs a destined to fail vegan restaurant in Wisconsin. She’s certainly losing money and doing worse than doing nothing at all. The inference that it’s Biden’s fault and not her colossally stupid business model is, of course, disingenuous.
  6. Optical illusion. That’s etched in glass. Got it one of the times I’ve been but can’t remember which year.
  7. Been on a decent roll lately Penelope 15 year light whiskey x 2 Larceny BP A123 x1, B123 x3, A124 x2 Little Book Chapter 7 (currently in play)
  8. While I want to agree with this, in the end the democrats will have no counter to fear of losing guns. I’m pretty sure Republicans care more about guns than social security or their wives and daughters (likely in this order).
  9. Just booked next February for a week in Banff. 7 nights at Fairmont Lake Louise + 2 5/7 day lift tickets for US$3,700. 5% down. Refundable until 14 days before. Good through 3/31 in case anyone is interested
  10. The struggle is real. 3 months into a remodel with no kitchen or table. Nice weather for the backyard tonight. Dogs made good company.
  11. Really cold our first couple days. Low around -10F and high around 15. By the time we left lows were around 10 and high may have snuck above freezing.
  12. Have to be among the most novice posters on this thread. But happy it say we did Lake Louise and Sunshine a couple weeks ago and are headed to Winter Park this Thursday. 8 - 10 days on the slopes are a big year for the Brownwater family but we love all of them. Even the ones Mrs. Brownwater is wearing out the local boot fitter.
  13. @milkman I’d suggest asking a few friends who play if their wife or girlfriend ever tried to pick up the game. I know several people who have lightly used lady’s equipment sitting around unused. I’m sure it wouldn’t take much time to find someone willing to loan it out while your daughter decides if she likes the game. If it sticks she might have enough experience and a swing baseline to buy something more dialed in than the starter set. That said, the most likely way it will stick is if she can hit good shots as soon as possible. For the reasons above, repurposing men’s clubs is likely problematic. Probably too heavy meaning she can’t control them or too stiff meaning they won’t launch as well. Either way - I think getting something that’s made for ladies is her highest likelihood for success. Lastly she could probably start with a partial set instead of the full bag. But if you’re set on buying clubs, EBay, 2ndSwing and most retailers will have used clubs she can try.
  14. Where have I heard that before? Oh yeah…
  15. If being obtuse is wrong I don’t want to be right
  16. Yes. You should start a new thread and not commingle that solid finish with the fuckery that inevitably follows
  17. He said “running back hoes” which is the most believable task on that list.
  18. In an earlier career stop, I had a female aggy “peer” in a department we worked with frequently. We had a group meeting one morning and she walked in late and says “Good morning Brownwater, your hair’s getting thinner.” I glance up from my computer and say “You’re not.” Room goes quiet. My team still giggles about it today even though we’ve all moved on or retired.
