  1. I was there in 2015 and head back year. Wasn’t there in 2016. Should fully tip the scales in Jordan’s favor.
  2. Finally found a relatively inexpensive bronze watch. The quick patina with an egg thing really works
  3. Last Saturday I was lucky enough to get the last pour of a restaurant's WLW, smart enough to order neat* and wise enough to ask if they'd let me keep the empty bottle * with a separate glass of ice that I can add if necessary.
  4. Sorry. I’ve been drinking.
  5. I believe this is a compliment but it makes me worry this board thinks I’m a heavy drinker with high cholesterol that eats steak 5 times a week and weights over 300 pounds. I’d like to clarify I weigh less than 300 pounds.
  6. Yep. Who’d ever touch Michter 10, Midwinter Night Dram, Angels Envy, the original Black Maple Hill, OSSA, Belle Meade Cask Strength....
  7. Is that an attempt at humor or irony?
  8. Blend of Tennessee (presumably Dickel) and Indiana (MGP).
  9. <<<< like this?
  10. I special ordered and his distributor gave him more than he expected. I almost felt like I was doing him a favor. I’m magnanimous like that. Agree that it’s better with some open bottle age and doesn’t need water.
  11. The post immediately before mine referencing the same bottle in bumped my quoted post. Thought that was fairly obvious. But I’m quoting your post to avoid the potential for confusion.
  12. Completely agree. Went back and picked up a case.
  13. Negged. What happens in CR stays in CR
  14. Here's the lesson: Use your worldly resources to benefit others and make friends. Then, when your possessions are gone, they will welcome you to an eternal home. Jesus Christ, Luke 16:9 Here's the lesson: Use your worldly resources to benefit others and make friends. Then, when your possessions are gone, they will welcome you to an eternal home. That is, of course, provided rules and regulations related to the taxability of said benefits afforded others aren’t interpreted to lead to potential adverse financial implications to the recipient or limit the deductibility of the donor. In such circumstances the donor, however, should publicly declare willingness to make said resources available for the benefit of others. Jesus Chrisp, Surly 12:802
  15. You could look into Greenville, SC as well. Almost same distance to Augusta as Atlanta. I’ll be there for Friday’s round and staying in Greenville Thursday night.
  16. Before you ask - this is amazing. I know because I had it a while back at Brennan's. However last night Mrs. Brown Water decided I didn't need anymore and poured this glass down the sink because I left it on the kitchen counter to breathe. Don't worry guys, she is ok. But I'm taking suggestions on how she should rectify this matter.
  17. I'm tired of catching up on the CR threads. Opened my GTS 2017. Sipping on W12 as an opener. 20 oz ribeye waiting for the grill. Anyone of you assholes that feels like commiserating can PM me. Fair warning- I'm stumbling around a bit.
  18. Pls, as someone whose clearly mastered subtlety and nuance, illuminate the simpletons on the board.
  19. The Unpaid Bills - most "outstanding" team of all time
  20. Let's be honest. This is one of the few instances his signature has added value to the paper it's on.
  21. Step ahead of you brother @Anastasis
  22. Gets hotter than the grill so it sears better. Had a dissertation on the old site about the steps of cooking a steak. Searing and cooking to temp are different. So you want to sear as fast as possible and control cooking to temp separately. Also the last "sentence" of your post is a bit hard to decipher. I hope that's whiskey related. Cheers.
  23. Translation. I'm too selfish to work on behalf of the American people.
  24. There's already a giant cock in that pic.
  25. Picked up a bottle of Barrel Dovetail today. Never heard of it and had mixed opinions on Barrel from prior experience. Fortunately the store had a sample. It was really good with my only objection being the alcohol burn in the finish. I expect that will mellow with some age in the open bottle. Recommend if you happen across a bottle. http://breakingbourbon.com/barrell-dovetail.html
