I met Patterson at a coaches clinic at TCU. I was hanging out with a few coaches and he came over to small talk with us. It was the most awkward 10 minutes ever. You'd think it'd be exciting to talk to a big time head coach but we all felt awkward as hell. The dude has no people skills and openly talked about how he wished he could just coach defense and not deal with everything else.
I can't imagine how someone that awkward and boring has been successful for this long.
We can get excited about Harris's ability to go on the offensive but she was pretty open to attacks. Tulsi Gabbard ripped her a new one and Harris had no retort.
I get the same creepy, power-hungry, fake vibe from Kamala Harris that I got from Clinton. If the GOP had half a brain, it would be very easy to turn a lot of those who are frustrated with police against Harris and her record.
If people honestly consume less actual sports because of politics, that sounds like the most snowflake thing I can imagine.
"Yeah I used to love watching Earl Campbell run over dudes, but then they started talking politics and now I just watch the news instead." Sounds like a bad diagnosis.
I watch less as I age due to having less time available, but I still make time for the games that are most important. I'll watch every Longhorns or Cowboys game, or watch it delayed if necessary.
I watch less of the talking head stuff but that might just be due to my teams not being dominant anymore. When the Mavs won in 2011, I wanted to watch every second of the talking head stuff to soak it in. Same with Texas in 2005. Maybe it's more than that, and I've just gotten over it.
A couple weeks back Brooks posted some snaps complaining about being drug tested. He claimed that weed helped him get through tough times and something about how ridiculous it was.
Was waiting for this news.
A Biden ad just came up on YouTube and I spent about 45 seconds trying to figure out what person his diminishing speech reminded me of. Then I realized it was Lee Corso. I'm voting for the guy, but this is going to be painful to watch.
On the Ryen Russilo podcast this week, he had guys on to tell recruiting stories from back in the day.
Matt Leinart says that his dinner with USC was at a 5 star restaurant. But on his trip to OU, they go to Applebee's. He called his mom to make fun of it. He decided Norman wasn't for him.
Also he got so drunk on his Michigan trip that he passed out in the bar.
Did a free trial of Sundance on Amazon Prime to watch The Little Drummer Girl. It was great. One of my favorite Le Carré adaptations.
I then cancelled the free trial.
Norman Dike didn't die either. And he actually did some heroic stuff. And apparently he wasn't able to advance the attack on Foye because he got shot in the shoulder.
