  1. -Cersei's character would have murdered Tyrion there. She's been trying to murder him for 5 seasons now. She has no reason not to have the soldiers shoot him. She's already killed Missandei and ended negotations. -Cersei has no reason not to attack Dany's small party of 50 soldiers right then and there and (in her mind) end the war and save her throne. -Jon wouldn't ignore Ghost for 3 seasons and then fail to say goodbye. -Jamie's character arc makes no sense, regardless what he's attempting to do in King's Landing. -Dragons are worthless. I hate this show, and now view everything after about season 5 to be absolute garbage.
  2. Russilo's pod yesterday was talking about how bad year early mocks are. Drew Lock, Cardale Jones, Christian Hackenberg, Jarrett Stidham were all top 10 picks according to year early mocks. Let's not even mention Jevan Snead.
  3. That was incredible. Really hope Amazon/Netflix release episodes periodically like this so this isn't the last time in human history that everyone watches a big show at the same time like this. This worked out kind of well for GRRM cuz people are going to have so many questions about the stuff the show doesn't address or ignores that people are going to want to read them... if he ever writes them. Also I highly doubt Arya kills the NK in the book version.
  4. So in the next Spiderman movie, did all the kids come back from being Thanos dust or are some of them going to be awkward friends 5 years older still showing up to parties and offering to buy beer?
  5. I think I remember Hill and Boyd driving somewhere to make their college announcements together. Kinda cool they get to play together.
  6. I don't think they had much to work with. Jets have never had good uniforms.
  7. Aledo got a 2022 kid from FW Southwest named Bryan (BJ) Allen. Already has offers from Baylor and Houston. We'll probably he talking about him in this thread eventually. Ran a sub 11 100m in middle school. The rich get richer.
  8. When was rampant cheating not an issue? Also, Miami will be more fun to watch this year. Why does that make the sport less enjoyable? It could eventually go haywire, but at the current moment, what school is left miserable due to these transfers? Georgia didn't play Fields. Martell wasn't going to start at Ohio State. Hurts would never start for Bama again. USC losing Bru hurts them, but most of their fanbase is to the point where they understand his decision because they're ready for a new coach. It just seems like a victim-less crime... except it's not a crime.
  9. Listened to Chris Bosh on the Bill Simmons podcast. Simmons asked him about the best PFs he ever faced and he doesnt even mention Dirk. I'm convinced that whole trio never came to terms with the fact that an awkward white European dude was better than them for a series.
  10. Either you're obtuse or dense. Either way, this conversation isn't worth the energy it takes to type it.
  11. We're talking about grading a QB right now, not an overall team. He had over 300 yards passing and 90 yards rushing in game 1. His team put up 45 points. He had 379 yards passing in game 2. His team put up 39 points. I'm just saying he's dangerous in the pocket.
  12. And future Wins as well. Which are more likely when you are able to rest your starters late in games. Or build depth by getting younger guys playing time. And keeping younger players happy as they see the field more and don't decide to transfer, leading to more "W column" additions later on. Blowing teams out is a good thing. We knew 2005 Texas was better than 2009 Texas well before the championship game.
  13. Texas' gameplan against him was to keep him in the pocket by essentially telling our pass rushers to sit back and wait for him. It did not work.
  14. I think he'll be successful. Or at the very least, if he is unsuccessful, I don't think it will be because he takes such huge hits. I know it's the common talk on here, but huge hits on QBs are kind of dead in the NFL. You're less safe in college now.
  15. As much as it annoys me that S&P punishes teams for playing conservative and winning close games, it would be nice if Texas would start blowing teams out again. If you can beat Oklahoma and Georgia, you should blow out Tulsa and Kansas. S&P is pretty much right about that. So Texas should start doing that because that sounds fun...
  16. You can require them to stay 6 semesters in order to transfer and immediately be eligible, but you can't make them stay 6 semesters in general. Kids still deserve the option to sit out a year if they're unhappy or have issues. So it's possible we still get McCoy under that rule if he really is okay with sitting out a year instead of staying at USC.
  17. Also, I think part of the Mavs plan to keep KP healthy is to allow him to play like Dirk did where he's not having to grind in the paint by himself or anchor the team as the rebounding presence. I think they want someone else to come in and take the bumps and bruises and free up KP to be a pick and roll/pick and pop player who helps out to block shots.
  18. I don't know what free agent this is if we can't get KD, Klay or Kawhi. I definitely don't want Jimmy Butler aka worst teammate in basketball. Terrence Ross and Danny Green seem to be the next best unrestricted free agent wings that fit that description. Pretty big drop off. Unless we use the cap space to trade for someone, I think it's going to be Vucevic.
  19. The problem with this is it would use up some of our cap room and I'm pretty sure they want to go get Vucevic or Mirotic or someone.
  20. "It was personal. It had nothing to do with me or my coaching ability."
  21. Not that it could ever happen, but the perfect moment of irony would be if KD chose Dallas over New York this summer because he wants to play with Luka and KP. I think that might actually end the Knicks franchise.
  22. So now the Mavs have enough money to get Vucevic, who we were already rumored to want. I don't think any other free agent is either realistic or worth the money we have.
  23. I'm sorry let me add "tweeting during his own wedding" to this.
  24. So much cringe. I'm gonna disagree with everyone. He has less self awareness than even the Hamm and Liucci types.
