  1. I thought some of the takes on here against him last week were bizarre. Even if he lost this game, it was already obvious he was growing. The worst thing about him was his late turnovers and since week 2, hes fixed that. He's a true dual threat and he knows how to find his best receivers.
  2. There's a decent chance we face Oklahoma again this year. Almost feels wrong.
  3. Ah shit, I forgot that was his second year. Okay back to drinking.
  4. For the first time since the century began, we have a head coach who doesn't have a losing record against OU*. *Having actually played against OU
  5. I just said "John Burt?" in the highest pitch voice.
  6. I haven't been this confident that we'll convert since Colt McCoy. This offense looks so tough.
  7. As much as I love Orlando's defense, his insistence on delayed blitzes baffles me. It never works. I'd rather the offense know where the blitz is coming from than line up where it's physically impossible to get to the qb in less than 4 seconds.
  8. Burt always looks really happy on the sidelines, in videos, and post game. He's always congratulating dudes and standing in front for the eyes. Just get the vibe that he's a track dude who likes his life right now. I could be wrong since I'm basing all of this on video and pictures.
  9. If we find a way to win this week, it will move up to the top regardless how it happens. After the shit that has been the 2010's, it would feel really great to have a win over OU, a top 10 ranking, be 5-1, be undefeated this late in conference play for the first time since 2009. It would feel really good. If we lose, then 2005 is my favorite. For the same reasons but not quite as dramatic.
  10. Kyler Murray, DeMarcus Lodge, Greg Little, JK Dobbins, Baron Browning, Walker Little, Marvin Wilson, Jaylen Waddle, Kaden Smith, Tyrie Cleveland, Klevon chaisson, and Jeffrey Okudah leaving the state might have something to do with it. In 2007 only 2 of the top 18 recruits in the state left the big 12. Times changed. But I really do not give a shit about any of those schools being good again except Texas. None of them were that great in 2005 and life was just fine.
  11. So is Oklahoma State terrible? I'm so confused.
  12. So what's more valuable: A year of practice reps and garbage time at the position you will actually play or a year getting no reps at the position you will play? If we assume he's going back next year, why isn't he getting better at what he'll do next year?
  13. Starting to doubt the Jamison decision. He was one of my favorite DB's in the class, and he has produced nothing on offense. There were all these pre-season raves about Jamison scoring long TD's in scrimmages. But now I think we can all see that had more to do with our defense's inability to stop a jet sweep than with having a sufficient package for Jamison. A true nickel is more valuable than another Daje/Monroe that doesn't get touches.
  14. Said in another thread, but the play by play guy who works with Quinn was actually pretty good. Got hyped at the right times and didn't annoy me.
  15. Much better than the coaches poll. Tech deserved to be ranked, Miss State was too high in the other one. I would put every big conference unbeaten ahead of Oklahoma. They haven't looked great.
  16. Would very much like to hear The Hardline walk back their ridiculous talk a couple weeks ago about Texas having no one outside of Johnson who could be in Oklahoma's 2 deep.
  17. Starting to realize Texas, Tech and Oklahoma State are the only teams in the conference with quality wins thus far. Oklahoma has played no one, and looks less impressive each week. (though they could still be really good. West Virginia has played no one, though they look like they should against the nobodies. I think this thing is wide open. And I think there's a good chance the teams that end up in the conference championship game both have multiple losses.
  18. Patterson: "You gotta give Texas' defense credit. We tried to go sideways and it didn't work out against them." Going into this game, lots of people on here were scared of TCU's speed. I think it's slowly starting to dawn on people that with Gary Johnson, Brandon Jones, and Caden Sterns pursuing horizontally, we have the athletes to match this conference. And with Boyd, Locke and Davis playing well outside, we're able to shut down the run game without moving guys out of the box. TCU and USC have above average running games, and they could do absolutely nothing against us on the ground. This defense is the reason I'm optimistic about making a run at this conference.

Cant wait to hear what the spin doctors at TCU decide to make their negative recruiting pitch about now. Actually they probably just move ok to recruits considering schools they can still talk shit about. They know no other game.
