  1. Their secondary is awful. For the first time this century it feels like, I can't name any of their linebackers after the RRS. I wasn't worried about a single dude on their defense. Oklahoma is going to be a dumpster fire after Kyler and Brown leave, and Riley decides to take an NFL job.
  2. Top 10 sounds right if you put the talent into perspective. The following guys are probably all under consideration for All Big 12 1st or 2nd team at the moment Ehlinger, Anderson, Johnson, Humphrey, Nelson, Johnson, Sterns, Jones, Boyd, maybe Omenihu And then we have guys who aren't at that level but are playing really well: Ingram, Beck, Cosmi, Davis, Wheeler, McCulloch. It's a pretty talented team. I have a feeling Ingram is about to start stacking up 100 yard games against the weak defenses we're about to face.
  3. Robert Mays has been talking on Twitter about how it's likely NFL teams will throw a lot of money at Lincoln Riley for several reasons. 1. Rams don't have an OC. Chiefs OC doesn't call plays. McDaniels left a team hanging at the last minute last time. So the typical NFL offensive genius hire isn't there. 2. He's the consensus "next offensive genius" in college. 3. Browns would love to make Baker comfortable. It's entirely possible that we never go against him again.
  4. A 1-loss OU in the CCG is just as appealing to voters. I also think it's possible Notre Dame and Clemson lose a game. If that happens, Texas doesn't need anyone else on the schedule to do anything. Winning out would be enough.
  5. Kind of shocked they moved LSU. But pleasantly surprised.
  6. Your team might be great and win the conference, and your QB might be truly amazing. But as of right now, you've played the easiest schedule in the conference. WVU could realistically start 8-0 and finish 9-3 with losses against Texas, TCU and OU. Enjoy it and all, but don't be confused why people aren't praising your team every week.
  7. The reporter who joked about how they call it "QB power and not QB draw" to emphasize that they're tough... made it pretty obvious he doesn't know what power is which is pretty embarrassing as a sports reporter. Especially since none of the three scores were power.
  8. Texas jumps: Oregon, Stanford, Kentucky, Michigan, UCF, Auburn, Oklahoma. Texas should jump but might not: Washington, Penn State, LSU, Miami. So I'll say we're probably ranked 12. Should be 8.
  9. http://www.big12sports.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=10410&ATCLID=1546006 According to that website, scoring differential is the first tiebreaker if Texas, OU and WVU all finish with one conference loss. "Scoring differential among the tied teams. The team or teams with the lowest difference between points scored and points allowed in games vs. the tied teams is eliminated from consideration." So blowing that huge lead yesterday could hurt us.
  10. Assuming the rest of the season goes great and we win out (obviously not a foregone conclusion and this could all crumble), I don't think it matters if we play OU or WVU in the Big 12 Championship game. What matters is that one of them wins out after they lose to us. Beating an 11-2 Oklahoma or 11-2 West Virginia twice gets us into the playoffs.
  11. All the dudes from that class just adored Murray. Malik called him the goat today (albeit while hyped about the win).
  12. What a beautiful way to enjoy OU tears. Ehlinger becoming legend.
  13. It feels even better beating OU knowing they lose Kyler and probably Brown next year. And it also wouldn't shock me if an NFL team went after Riley.
  14. I thought some of the takes on here against him last week were bizarre. Even if he lost this game, it was already obvious he was growing. The worst thing about him was his late turnovers and since week 2, hes fixed that. He's a true dual threat and he knows how to find his best receivers.
  15. There's a decent chance we face Oklahoma again this year. Almost feels wrong.
  16. Ah shit, I forgot that was his second year. Okay back to drinking.
  17. For the first time since the century began, we have a head coach who doesn't have a losing record against OU*. *Having actually played against OU
  18. I just said "John Burt?" in the highest pitch voice.
  19. I haven't been this confident that we'll convert since Colt McCoy. This offense looks so tough.
  20. As much as I love Orlando's defense, his insistence on delayed blitzes baffles me. It never works. I'd rather the offense know where the blitz is coming from than line up where it's physically impossible to get to the qb in less than 4 seconds.
  21. Burt always looks really happy on the sidelines, in videos, and post game. He's always congratulating dudes and standing in front for the eyes. Just get the vibe that he's a track dude who likes his life right now. I could be wrong since I'm basing all of this on video and pictures.
