  1. Optimistic outlook: -The defense is playing a ton of backups and third stringers and still performing well. -Florida still looks like a Billy Napier team (which isn't good). If Oklahoma has the same look tonight, even a truly flawed team has a decent chance to go into Athens at 8-1. There's a very real chance that our schedule before November 15 is more than manageable. -Endries looks elite at TE and I'm guessing we will use him more heavily in big games. -The kicker made a FG and I'll consider him an improvement.
  2. Arch is incredibly inconsistent with his accuracy and footwork. The OL is carrying on last year's tradition of killing drives with penalties. The WRs seem to be our slowest since the Herman years. The defense is good enough to keep us in every game, but this feels like 9-3 unless some people grow up incredibly quickly.
  3. It didn't feel like anyone on the team could beat man coverage. Which is not ideal for an offense designed to force defenses into man coverage.
  4. Cover 3 guys. They mentioned that if Ryan Day is heavily involved in the play calling they might learn OSU In coaching, but gave the nod to Texas there because of Texas's continuity.
  5. This talk of Ohio State's best offensive line has me curious. PFF Grades I could find. Trevor Goosby 80.8 > Ethan Oniawa 69.1 (At Rice) DJ Campbell 68.3 > Carson Himzmam 42.4 Neto Umeozulu (could only find his number against Florida) 70.4 > Austin Siereveld 67.6. Probably some discrepancies due to relying on AI. Maybe this OSU group looking stellar is another casualty of the zero sum nature of fall practice and losing JTT and Sawyer.
  6. We're playing on the road against the #3 team in the nation who doesn't frequently lose at home. They haven't had more than 2 losses in a season since 2011. Maybe it isn't absolutely crazy or clickbaity for people to think a win is difficult. It's actually quite rational.
  7. She knew what she was doing.
  8. Did Ohio State have some offensive line injury in camp that's leading to this alleged reshuffling? Google says they will be starting the same LT, C, and RT they started against us in Arlington last season. That doesn't sound like a dire situation for them. Are they going to start the Rice kid instead?
  9. Then what happened?
  10. He no longer looks bad for those worrying.
  11. If they're saying we'll play all SEC teams in a two year span, and assuming (maybe wrongly) that they'll try to schedule teams we didn't play the first two years, I'm imagining a schedule that looks something like this. 2026: Arkansas, OU, A&M, Alabama, LSU, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Missouri, Tennessee. 2027: Arkansas, OU, A&M, Georgia, Florida, Auburn, Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi State, Kentucky.
  12. Once a year, preferably second week, our place and your place taking turns. -Pedant
  13. I bet they use Mississippi State, Kentucky and Vanderbilt to divide up for the schools with two difficult rivals like Auburn. It's kind of crazy how some of these schools have been in the conference for decades and still don't really have any rivals.
  14. Mcshay is close friends with Nagy and had him on the pod before he took the job. He's going to blindly support him just like he did his best friend Joe Douglas despite building a horrible Jets team.
  15. I highly doubt he would actually Venmo someone and put the title as "Sports Gambling". Sounds incredibly fake.
  16. Walking through the fair to the parking lot after the collapse in 2021, some Oklahoma kid said to me (and probably 2,000 other guys), "You're still wearing that shirt?!" Walked to my car, drove to my in-laws for some family thing, and sat with my Aggie father-in-law as he watched A&M beat Alabama. What an awful day.

Loved the Cowboys 94 jerseys. Weird take.
  18. How could one remember one breath out of a billion?

I know the consensus around here is that these are perfect, but there's something about the dark outline around the numbers that doesn't go well with the rest of the uniform. It's like the Cowboys problem of too many shades of blue. Then when they were away, they wore the darker shade of blue. The lighter blue is great, but I don't like the full execution of them from this era.
  20. The only real worry I have for this season is the offensive line. Last year was a more talented and experienced group. They had 121 combined starts going into the year. Yet with all that, they rushed for 58, 31, and 29 yards against Ohio State and Georgia. Now we go into a season with 45 combined starts and several guys who failed to push for playing time previously. It's the only thing that gives me pause about all the hype.
  21. For downtown: 61 Osteria (fancy Italian), Grace (fine dining), Waters (seafood). For bbq: Panther City BBQ as Goldees is closed on Wednesday. Maybe Hurtado or Brix if the line is too long at Panther City.
