  1. Pro tip: they don't do anything to muffle a fart, either.
  2. Those wall mounted bookshelves from Crate & Barrel also?
  3. You sure look fine tonight, in the beer sign light. Why did you seem surprised when I saw through your disguise. All your friends were there and no one had a care. They all just looked away in this Honky Tonk Masquerade.
  4. Man, worst summer I ever spent working offshore was when we crew changed on work boats. Always just enough sea to make the trip rough. Interior of the boat filled up with cigarette smoke and invariably some half-drunk/hungover asshole would end up puking. I put a life jacket on and sat out on the deck after the first trip out to the rig.
  5. Go see a dermatologist and get it checked for skin cancer. 4 months is a long time.
  6. The irony of misspelling cretin is delicious.
  7. Country Tavern is a short drive away.
  8. I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess you aren't married.
  9. The Ojeda's in Plano is thoroughly meh.
  10. Speaking of the National WWII Museum, it is outstanding.
  11. Wise move. Seen too many videos of people on foot around bison getting lit up.
  12. PSA: Costco.com has them priced at $90 for a pair. Amazon wants $65 for one. I have 4 of them that we use around the firepit. Very comfortable portable seating.
  13. Were you in a vehicle or on foot for that pic of the buffalo?
  14. Wolf Tracks is the compilation album of their biggest songs. Kiko and the Lavender Moon is generally thought to be their best album.
  15. New one from Charley Crockett. He's working with Bruce Robinson.
  16. I can't fight you, Gil. However, let's not forget their album of Mexican songs. Love this.
  17. I have been lucky enough to see them live 4 times. The first was right after they hit it big in the mid 80s with "Will the Wolf Survive" in a little club with me and about 300 vatos. Absolutely awesome. They did an acoustic show in Birmingham when I was there that was just insane. Next time was in Atlanta and they were fully electric, played their own stuff and did covers of Cinnamon Girl and Politician that about melted my face. Hulla was there with me and we were both like, "Holy shit," I may have just witnessed musical perfection.
  18. Why it is so? Just listen. The guitars, the driving beat from the drums. The lyrics, "There's a tattooed heart with an arrow through the middle with a name that looks like Joe..." Los Lobos is in my pantheon of the greatest American band of the last 50 years. Bold claim, I know, but goddamn, they have delivered some outstanding music.
