  1. Definitely a different team without Hurst on the mound.
  2. Pretty much....
  3. Damn! Should have been a DP!
  4. Rode Hurst through the tourney...
  5. Running out of arms....
  6. Even with all the west coasters moving in, it's still a rural town with a big ag influence. FFA is huge there, and at stock shows throughout the state.
  7. Pitcher sleepwalking and Fla ( biggest dude other than the catcher) steals home....Boerne down 1.
  8. I think I'm a little bit older than you, have to adjust for inflation.😀
  9. Omar was also very relevant in getting Ivan to the 40...
  10. Wow. OK, cool. That ball that has been there for 60 years (and part of my youth) was/is something else I guess. https://www.boernelittleleague.com/
  11. You must be talking about a different BYAA cuz like I said, the Boerne Youth Athletic Association (a nonprofit) has had little league In Boerne since 1964. Not just the last decade.
  12. Boerne Little League is celebrating it's 60th year this year (started in 1964). I grew up in Boerne in the 70's. This was waaay before Champion, as Sam was still a lifeguard at the swimming pool. If you played high school ball, you had an automatic in to umpire the little league and pony league games, $4 bucks for behind the plate and $3 for the infield. If your partner didn't show up, you got the full $7. High cotton.

  14. Yep, he's a Greyhound.
  15. 2 episodes in..., Cowboy Cartel 👍
  16. C'mon Torre! Don't forget Dougie Hodo!!😀 Prior to Seth coming to UT, the 'Hounds were getting ready for the state tourney. My wife and I happened to be back in town visiting my folks. We would always go the high school cuz the Mrs. wanted to get in a track workout. I saw the team practicing (weird for a weekend) and walked over to the ballfield to watch them scrimmage. After about 10-15 minutes, the coach came over and in a round about way asked what I was doing, I had to disappoint him by telling him I was just an old alum and former ball player that was just taking in practice. He laughed cuz he thought I was someone from their next opponent scouting them out. Oh, and Russell's dad was one of my high school coaches. CSB and all that 😛
  17. Yea, pretty regarded. There is another Boerne dad that is worse than the Vandy whistler...
  18. Get out the mustard and the rye cuz it's Grand Salami time!!!
  19. 6 Ks over two innings...nice.
  20. I get the overall medal count but athletes compete to WIN. Especially in the Olympics due to them only coming around once every 4 yrs. It's the biggest exposure (at least here in the US for a lot of Olympic sports like track/field cuz many don't watch the world championships) Plus in the Olympics. it's $50k for the Gold medal. Those guys ain't splitting it. Every one forgets about the Gold Medal Winner from 2020.....She repeats for #40!!!🥇
  21. In the past, the IOC even though there are others in that may run the prelims ( and those that competed in them are allowed a medal if their team wins) they only allowed the finals participants on the podium. I'm not totally sure about track and field, but that has been the case in swimming for quite some time
