  1. She's been invited and already has a qualifying time (5K) to go to the Olympic trials.... 16 yrs old. https://news4sanantonio.com/sports/high-school/boerne-champions-elizabeth-leachman-earns-invitation-for-usa-track-field-olympic-trials-texas-hill-country-high-school-sophomore-state-records
  2. Major meltdown on here if that/when it happens....😂
  3. Myself and the guys around me all laugh when we discuss the ticket prices etc....., the tickets are the cheap part! It's the beer, booze and hot dogs throughout the season that makes it an expensive hobby. EDIT: your avatar is appropriate for sitting in our section.
  4. Depends on what section.... Main stands under the roof all have a foundation contribution added on.... R2/L2 and out only pay for actual seat costs. 1 or 2 sections of GA at $99. Last yr or more, there were supposedly no tickets available that were not bought by season ticket holders
  5. So the software lead from Houston is our source ?
  6. What did Yogi say? Deja Vu all over again? Getting everyone raises (again).... Wouldn't have minded CDC talking with him.
  7. OK, cool. He was talked too about that also...
  8. The helmet was a joke after Sean Allen was hit with a foul ball in the face while in the dugout. They players gave it to him to wear at his next game for protection. The team went on a run, hit some homers, and it became part of the celebration in the dugout that carried into the post season.
  9. Oh really? No shit. We're just not full of douchebaggery. We don't ever need to go the route of Tiger King.
  10. Oh, I'm totally aware of what they and other schools do with their celebrations and BS swag (chains and crap ie. Tommy White) that they wear. Not for it. There's nothing wrong with grooming standards. Name on the front being much bigger than the one on the back (which we don't have). Dog piling only once. Those 3 things don't need to be fucked with.
  11. Looks like Cat and company got through the red tape… https://www.facebook.com/share/p/9mvrTwAM54JXo8rf/?mibextid=ox5AEW
  12. I was stationed there in the 80's (then stayed another 22 years), great ads and a good party beer like you and @BonzoMontreaux have stated. Their ads were great, with the motorcycle one topping them off IMO.
  13. Didn't get to play much (4 games) as a freshman, but still....
  14. Lots of seats are empty throughout the season. Many are bought and then resold. I've had my same seats for the last 7 years and still don't know the who has the seats to the left of me. They have never been to a game. They are either empty or someone different is there every game due to the person who has them, resells through stubhub or the like. Outfield seating or a hang out area as noted above is coming as long as the University puts their boot into the city's ass. No reason that road behind left field needs to remain there any more. That whole area could then be made something similar to what minor or big league parks have for food, beverages , or just SRO. The scoreboard was just going to be moved farther back (hence the removal of the road). Not that I give a shit about their program, but they are rival and compete for recruits, Schloss and aggy have big plans to put more money to improve and get more seats for ugly ass bluebell. Disch Falk needs to get probably around another 1500 -2000 seats for the bigger series now for the upcoming fan bases that travel well (LSU, Arky, and a few others) in the SEC. The Yeti yard was just the beginning and a trial run. I even heard talk towards the end of the season that for next year it may or could be expanded or have another in right field by moving our bullpen. Just stuff I've heard by talking with others (many with much more inside info than myself) at the ballpark.
  15. They were what we were the year before when we lost to the eventual national Champions in the semi's.....We were going to lose a lot of that team the following year and LSU was pretty much stacked as were the year before. Yes, NIL money played into his decision, but they looked better on paper. Our team didn't turn out bad as a lot of our younger guys stepped up, but they not not only got him but they got the showboat Tommy also.
  16. City owns Comal St. though and there lies the problem. The University already wants to take the left field scoreboard down and move it behind stands to be built there behind the left field wall. The University owns the property that DF sits on and the grassy area before the tennis courts and of course the tennis center. COA right now wants to keep that road that is between them and is being a pain in the ass about closing it even though all it serves as of right now is an extra driveway to the parking garage.
  17. While playing Major Howard in The Longest Day, he had his beret from D Day and wore it while filming.
  18. Great video. Halfway through is one my favorite WW2 pics. Ike talking with troopers of the 101st just hours before their jump. He made a special trip to visit the Airborne due to the high casualties that were expected for them and the 82nd AB Divisions. Luckily they didn't receive the #'s that had been forecast. Lt. Stroebel (with his stick number 23) that Ike is talking with not only survived the "Day of Days", but also the war.
  19. Sucks losing to that blowU juggernaut but damn good season. Come back stronger (and wiser) next year ladies. 🤘
  20. As long as it isn't him, I'm OK with that.
  21. About the location....Y'all need to look who you are trying to reason with.
