  1. See my post above . Largest crowd ever for opening game. It took awhile to fill but was pretty full by the 3rd/4th innings....then people started leaving around the 6th or so. That wind went right thru you.
  2. Thanks...I forgot to check 1300. Website didn't have anything...🤷‍♂️ So I talked with one of the guys setting it up pregame and It's first come/ first served. 150 people max. No bathrooms in there so if you leave and there is a line waiting to get in, you go to the end of the line. If at capacity, they let in the amount that are leaving. Can bring your own beer and booze in, just not coolers or bottles. Gonna get wild for sure. And I didn't ask directly, but pretty sure no ticket is needed. If there is room you can get in and watch. Hopefully during the TXST game, aggy also, there is not too many of those assholes out there. That wind last night was a bitch. Plenty of gusts and going into that corner is tight. That was great catch. Would have been alright but that wind made it much worse...still feeling it today and watching inside at home (two free tix if anyone wants to be brave...just DM me) Oh, but we showed up last night.
  3. So what now is the radio station for the post game show? Get back to the truck immediately after the game and nothing found on the dial…[emoji2371]
  4. 2024 Starts Today.... GAME DAY BITCHES!!
  5. I took this from my seat during the alumni game. Hard to tell cuz I don’t have the wall where the padding is still in place, but you are looking through inner wall with netting and seeing the panels from the older/further back wall.
  6. Power alley in left center.
  7. I was wondering about that during the alumni game... Had noticed that there was netting showing (outfield padding gone) during the game and that you could see the older/original outfield wall beyond the netting. Pretty cool. Beginning of some outfield seating. 🤘
  8. C'mon, man, I get that. I know we did away with that whole prince and lord thing 160 yrs prior to WW2, but I didn't think I needed to include that in my post as to the idea and principles of flying as gentlemen/upper crust was also engrained with who got picked for flight school by the US military. College educated or some college/trade school? Candidate,...guy who farmed, worked on tractors? Some,... but most were naturals for being Ground crew/crew chief if in the air corps. Rural country boys that grew up bird or pheasant hunting made the best gunners with their skill of already knowing about leading targets/prey.
  9. Those are badass. Have always loved our away grays. Simplistic and timeless. 🤘
  10. Part of the uniform....plus they were actually also part of some ground troops attire (Patton scolded his officers more than once about wearing their ties) US, RAF, and other allies plus the European Axis pilots ALL usually wore a dress or other uniform that required a tie while waiting for sorties. As to wearing while flying, that usually came down to discipline and uniform standards from the units or squadron/bomb group CO. Plenty of pics of pilots out there from all countries with ties on with their flight gear. Gotta remember that is only 20 years past WW1 where it was a but a gentlemen's game and prestige to be a pilot. Scarves (usually silk) were worn to not only protect the neck, but keep the neck warm. This tradition carried on to WW2. German prisoner of war camps for allied pilots were initially run or overseen by the Luftwaffe on Goerring's insistance. He had been a combat pilot in WW1 and though he was drug addict and had a sexual preference that should have had put him in a German concentration camp, he tried to see that Allied pilots were treated with that gentlemanly conduct while under the Luftwaffe officers oversight. edit: I also remember reading somewhere years ago that ties made for good tourniquets for wounded flight crew.
