  1. Throw the damn ball past the fucking LOS....
  2. Onions, allergies,.....dusty starting at 02:59
  3. 41 yrs today. Operation Urgent Fury 0530 local time, Rangers from the 1st and 2nd Batt/75th Ranger Regiment along with a small contingent of JSOC /AFSOC jump from 500' with no reserves due to the lead aircraft receiving AAA fire from the hills surrounding the runway at Pt Salines, Grenada. By mid morning the airfield is secured and follow up elements from the 82nd are air landed in the early afternoon. #RLTW!
  4. AWAY the week before in Vegas and first SEC series against MSU the following week is also AWAY so yes, there will be a HOME series the weekend your wanting to catch a game. Takes time for the schedule to come out and for those itching for one, fall ball isn't even completed yet. The team isn't taking a bye weekend first weekend in March. Get your accommodations lined up, Horns will be playing. That's going to be tough one (LSU travels great) and the last time they were here (pre covid), CDC brought in temporary bleachers for overflow. I was glad I was a new season ticket holder and at least got to see the Friday night game. That being said, you should be able to get some on the secondary market or through the ticket office as many people give their tickets back to the school to be sold. Expect GA or down the lines though. Maybe some under the roof. There are a number of people around me that exchange or give away our tickets to each other if not going. PM me a heads up about a week beforehand and I'll see if any are available. edit: I've had my same seats (2 on aisle) for 8 (?) years now and I have NEVER met the guy (or gal) in the seats to my left.....different people there EVERY game, every year, as the people that sit there during different series bought them through the box office usually day of game. Dude has never been to a game. So those will probably be for sale too.
  5. Loved going there to watch the SA Dodgers play and win. Most likely why I became a Dodger fan (to much dismay of Dad and granddad that were huge Redbird fans) Was cool watching the guys move from double AA on up to the show, and I got to see Fernando before he was called up. VJ Keefe was packed. RIP Fernando.
  6. Sucked not having any fall ball games this year. Hope that doesn't become the norm under Schloss. 4 months til Alumni game...🤘
  7. Dude go to youtube! There is a full two minute long version of it happening, then slo-mo, and them having to repair the field (they were most concerned about this). Even worse is how she had to get helped off the field by another female and maybe someone from the sidelines. She was totally forgotten about.
  8. No doubt. I was just thinking of states that I know have created teams specific for these situations and could be pre-deployed. Texas has been around since pre Katrina (with great success). Oklahoma, Utah, NC, and another in that area (maybe TN or GA???) have followed the Texas model and started their own Helicopter Task Force SAR teams. There are other states that have the USAF/guard component with PJs but I was just thinking of the ones that have started something like we have here with the national guard birds from SA and ATX. It's been a great model. TXTF-1 (the helicopters) has been used in IKE, Harvey, and numerous flooding events or tropical storms in the valley since being deployed at Katrina. The Colonel (good friend of mine) that was the original CO of the task force (FEMA funded) into Katrina was not too happy about having "civilian" swimmers on his aircraft at first, but they proved their worth in NO and it's been continued here since and copied throughout the US.
  9. While it would suck to be on top of that hospital roof, that area is not that far over the border from NC. Like Texas has had for years, NC has a helicopter task force made up from National Guard aircrews and rescue specialists/swimmers from fire departments. No doubt they are flying throughout NC now looking for stranded motorists or those in homes. They could fly to Tennessee if needed to that hospital should the waters not be receding. ...CSB/? TXTF-1 with 5 helos and six swimmers were the first aircraft in to New Orleans the following morning after Katrina. The CG aircraft had been moved east and was still in the aftermath of the storm when TXTF-1 flew in from their staging area at Ellington Field just as the sun came up. Started picking up stranded people as soon as they got into NO. Baton Rouge became their base of operations.
  10. No foul. Your post wasn't overly malicious. Others? It's surly. He got off his boat with his possession (with a PFD on) that he cared most for. Swimmer got to make two good saves.
  11. He probably lived on his boat. Most likely losing everything except his dog. Those thinking he was just an asshole in the ocean taking selfies for IG, was just a still taken from the CG swimmer's GoPro. Glad they got both off safely.
  12. Bath day!! Was able to get 4/5 in the pic… Lucky was hiding. Charley , Emmy, One Eyed Jack & Lily [emoji1]
  13. Is Helene a dude? Cuz Noah has Helene packin'....
