  1. Green getting destroyed by Edwards and the jag guard with 3 names, so much for that so called improved defense. Damn if this team had Edwards instead of Green. Really wish Stone had actually tried to improve the bench.
  2. Probably more likely a platoon in CF and RF between Meyers, McCormick, Gamel, and Trammel.
  3. If the Spurs decided to buy out Paul, I would love for the Rockets to try to add him. One of our biggest problems right now is PG play when Van Vleet is not on the court.
  4. Money doesn't print itself.
  5. He was never a good defensive 2B, it was just the best position on the field for him because he had a weak arm. He has had two seasons where his DRS was positive. The last 3 years; -15, -13, -13. For his career he has a -82 DRS.
  6. FG has the positional adjustments as: C +12.5 SS + 7.5 CF + 2.5 2B +2.5 3B +2.5 RF -7.5 LF -7.5 1B -12.5 DH -17.5 Basically that’s the adjustment they get for their offense based off their position.
  7. Based on the longevitiy of the DJs, this is excellent news.
  8. Yep. 1B and LF in that order require almost no skill to play. You catch the ball when it is thrown or hit to you. Now Walker is legitmately a bad-ass defensive 1B, but he's not a great athlete by any stretch of the imagination. The only reason LF is more difficult is because every park is different, whereas at 1B you have the same dimensions every game.
  9. Self to Texas would be just a horrible decision from Texas. It's clear the guy isn't the same since his heart attack. Trusting that 7' stiff should tell you all you need to know about where his decision making is right now.
  10. and hope the manager doesn't sit said rookie on the bench in favor of the worst offensive player in baseball.
  11. I agree, even though he's 2024 draftee, he should fly through the minors. They should try hard to get Paredes signed long term, so that way Williams can concetrate on RF. There is now great incetive to bring him up if he's ready early, because he wins ROY, you get draft pick compensation. We need to replace picks we lost to the "cheating" and horrible FA decisions.
  12. Because Altuve's best position moving forward is DH, but we have the best DH in baseball already. Altuve's range and arm make him almost unplayable at 2B, you can mitigate that somewhat by moving him to LF, especially in Daikin Park.
  13. Moving Altuve to LF is paving the way for Matthews to come up if he gets off to a hot start in AAA. I actually don't mind that lineup too much considering Dubon is an elite defensive 2B, and you replace move McCormick to CF and Gamel in RF. Meyers is at best a 5th OF, asking him to play everyday again is retarded. Hopefully Melton, gets off to a hot start as well.
  14. Holy shit, Devers press conference today was 🔥. Reporter 1 - "If they asked you to DH, you wouldn't do it." Devers - "No." Reporter 2 - "Can you expound on that?" Devers - "I play third." Yeah, this is going to be a disaster.
  15. Pretty sure he lives year round in Memorial. I met him once at the Kroger of the Villages buying avocados.
  16. Don't forget the desparation 3 that their big hit in the 1st half. Outside of those two and the other 3 at the end of the game, Kentucky shot 3-21 during non garabage time. I think the problem I really have with Terry is that this team is just so bad at defense and especially defensive rebounding.
  17. Man, watching that game last night was interesting. I had no emotional tie to the outcome, but it was enjoyable none the less. There is so much bad on this Texas team, especially when Kaluma is out and no one is making any shots outside of Johnson. At least, Mark showed up tonight. If he could be that consistent 2nd scorer, we'd likely be over .500 in conference right now. Still, the biggest issue on this team was Williams throwing every Texas player out of his way for offensive rebound after offensive rebound. I don't understand how Onyema is just so fundamentally stupid at basketball, he had no idea what he was doing on the court last night, but still managed 4 and 5, which is something because Texas won by 4 and that was the most defensive rebounds for the team. Also, Julian Larry has become almost unplayable, just think the level of athleticism needed to play guard in the SEC is something he's not capable of delivering. I was wrong about him, and would like to see Weaver get those minutes back, while he's a below average offensive player, Weaver has SEC level athleticitism. More Pryor and Codie. they also have SEC level athleticism.
  18. My guess is he has a one year bounce back, opts out, gets the big contract, and then is a negative for the team that gives to him. I do find it hilarious that he refused to take a paycut on paper for this season from the Astros, then takes a huge one from the Red Sox in terms of 2025 dollars.
  19. According to spotrac, Bregman's LT is $31,705,000 for this season. So, $20M is deferred but $11M and change still count against the tax, even though he is taking in $20M this season to real salary.
  20. Yaz would be a very good strong side platoon in LF or RF. Just straight up platoon the OF. Gamel, Trammel, Yaz Dezenzo, Meyers, McCormick until one of them show they can be an everyday OF.
  21. Nate Williams and Aaron Holiday to the rescue.
  22. No worries, he's putting up another solid performance tonight for you guys that bought his "hot streak" a few games ago.
  23. Yeah, because we kept him in the minors for two extra years. He had 8.6 WAR, including the 2020 season, which would have been part of his free agent years, His best season of his career would have been his 1st season as a FA, and that was with him missing 40 games.
  24. That didn't stop Sarkisian the last time. Choice had left GT for USC before Sarkisian rerouted him to Austin.
  25. The cheating scandal didn't hurt, but Springer was super pissed at the organization for playing with his service time. There really was no reason to keep Springer in the minors in 2013 or 2014, he was ready for a fulltime roll after his 2012 MiLB season.
