  1. The two biggest plays of the game were Amen Thompson's steal and layup tying the game and the 3 in OT to tie the game. The Rockets had had 3 bad OT possessions before Amen knocked down that 3, and the Rockets added the next 8 points on top of it for an 11-0 run to put the game away. The obvious core is Sengun, Thompson, Eason, and Smith. Need more playing time for Reed to see if he can add to it. Love the veteran play of Van Vleet, Brooks, and when available Adams. After slow starts, Brooks is over 40% and Smith is at 34.5% and going up. The defensive ability of Sengun, Brooks, Thompson, Smith, and Eason is the driving force behind this record. We need one more shooter in the rotation and we are cooking with serious gas.
  2. I think Michigan's DL is deeper than you think, it's not just Grant/Graham. Stewart and Gay are quality DL and are better than aggy's starting Ends.
  3. This isn't true at all. Michigan has pretty good edge players as well.
  4. Who's talking to Brauny, who has ne'er watched tapey And probably will ne'er in his life.
  5. The irony of the whole "Watch the tape," texags likely watches 0 tape.
  6. 3-0 in group play, I think that clinches 1st place for the Rockets.
  7. What a move by Sengun, Rockets up 4 in OT. 11-0 run as the Rockets take command in OT, stopped settling for 3's and attack Gobert in the paint.
  8. Another shitty game for Jalen Green, the slump continues, and the Rockets fall in love with the 3 point line. Starting 12-22, then going 2-12 as the Timberwolves come back to take the lead. Tied up with 28 seconds to go.
  9. Hilarious, they overpayed for Williams and we ended up getting the better player.
  10. Not for nothing but Lole vs. Williams is a wash in terms of production, though I bet Lole's stats come in much fewer actual game reps than Williams considering how much the Texas's coaches sub. I'd be interested to see their PFF's grades and snap counts.
  11. Another good article from ESPN on the issues with Stroud. TL/DR - The offense doesn't allow for Patterson and Stroud to check protections and the Shanahan offense has simplistic rules on protections. It would take an offseason to fix, which leads to the very valid question, does Demeco fire Slowik and the OL coach in the offseason. If he doesn't then we should start to question if he's the right hire. Anyway, here's the article.
  12. You guys wanting to push IDLs into the portal are stupid. I mean shit, with the development we have seen at that position in the last 2 seasons, you'd might consider that it takes time for most IDL to be quality rotation players. Sweat, Coburn, Murphy, Collins, and Broughton all took until their upperclassmen seasons to transform into quality IDL.
  13. Morton didn't discover his velocity until age 33, as he was plagued by injuries most of his 20s as well. I am not saying it will happen with Lance, but if it did it would be awesome. Lance is a great dude, wish he had been more healthy.
  14. This is a thread about Quinn Ewers, so I will post whatever the fuck I want about Quinn Ewers.
  15. Lulz. Quinn missed a fucking wide open Wingo on a crosser that likely results in a TD just last Saturday. Wingo was like in that 5-8 honey spot zone for Quinn. It's not just checkdowns and missed bombs, he's also missing the correct reads and wide open WRs. Again this is his 3rd year as a starter, and he hasn't gotten better at all, the team around him, especially the defense, has improved night and day, and they are the more apparent reason for 22-3 including 4 games with the backup.
  16. Get Pryor some time there as well, but yeah, this is horrible news for Texas.
  17. That's the problem, he can't replicate that performance with any consistency. This thread would be completely different if Ewers was routinely putting up 300+ with multiple deep shots a game for TDs. The fact that as a 3rd year starter, he's eclisped the 300 yard mark once this season shoul be unacceptable. When you compare that to Arch stats in the 2-1/2 games he was the QB1 people can see the clear difference vs. the 8-1/2 games for Ewers. 2.5 Games 69.4% 10 Total TDs/4 per game 194.6 Passer rating 322.4 YPG vs 8.5 games 68% 24 Total TDs/2.8 per game 154.1 passer rating 245.8 YPG
  18. or better yet, staying healthy. But yes, his contract needs to have a shit ton of incentives.
  19. 33 sacks and 17 INTs for this defense. yeah aggy is about to FAFO.
  20. Yeah, what is Collin Simmons going to do becaue Trey Zuhn is ready. Not beat his ass like a rented mule?
  21. aggy defense is going to look stupid with all the misdirection Sarkisian is going to throw at them. Their back 7 have a low football IQ and they aren't very athletic save for 1 or 2 players.
  22. This isn't a one game issue. The culture problem is very real.
