100%, and now we are seeing the regression for all these relievers that have likely pitched over their heads all season.
We are 29-18 over the last 2 months including tonight.
When the pitching staff gives up 5+ runs the Astros are 2-13. When the pitching staff gives up 4-, they are 27-5.
Fuck Arizona for tanking for us into believing this was sustainable. We need to be sellers, this team is going to fall apart over the last 2 months. Too many injuries, and you can always count on Espada to mismanage the bullpen moving forward.
Their pitching staff is horrible. Our top 5-6 pitchers are the best in baseball, but their lineup is easily better than ours, even if everyone is healthy.
Yeah, if we can trade Walker in the deal for Correa, but we already have two DHs on this club in Altuve and Alvarez, but it's stupid to bring in a 30 year old that can't stay healthy and plays the same position as two of your better young guys. Go trade for O'Neil Cruz instead. He's a much better fit than Correa and his $100M+ still owed.
It means he's the NBA version of Chendall Weaver. He's also 26 and gotten better offensively almost every season in the NBA and played his best offensive basketball with Kevin Durant sharing the court with him. He also adds near elite level defense at the guard position. Considering Ime's love of defense over everything else, he's going to be in the rotation.
Okogie spent parts of the last three seasons playing with Durant in Phoenix. Likely had something to do with the signing. He's a legit NBA rotational SG.
Should be noted that he was (1.4/4.0 35%) from BTA when playing on the same team with Durant, which marked his career best streak from the perimeter.
