  1. I would like to see Melton, Matthews, and Dezenzo next year in Houston. If we shit the bed on this upcoming road trip, I would like to see them in Houston in September.
  2. Seattle has added 3 players since June and they have a 172, 160, and 120 OPS+ currently. Their only current regular that is close is Cal Raleigh at 114.
  3. July 21st. I bet he hits one on this upcoming road trip. Might be the only run the Astros score in that game.
  4. That was only the 3rd time this season Tyler Alexander has not given up any runs. In his other 13 appearences this season he has given up 2+ runs 10 times.
  5. Just wait until we get a A. Diaz sighiting in the 9th inning.
  6. The next 9 game road trip will likely be the yes/no for the Astros making the playoffs. TEX/BOS/TBR all teams that are in the playoff picture. Go 3-6 or worse and the season is likely done.
  7. Should have pinched hit Caratini for Singleton in the 1st inning.
  8. Espada playing with fire as usual. Good job by King.
  9. We had him last year at AAA and he pitched to a 11+ era. So, probably.
  10. Lulz, thinking Jake is every going to have a .740 OPS in a full season.
  11. You are set a 2B, SS, C, and DH. Matthews needs to break camp with the team next year, send him to winter ball to learn how to play LF. You make Tucker a good faith long-term extension, if he turns it down, you trade him for a package with 1 ready made MLB player and another one that is close. You have Dezenzo, Whitcomb, and Bastidas ready to take over at 3B. You got to think that one of them can match Bregman's current production. Leon should play everyday the rest of the season instead of Meyers/McCormick to see if he's a part of the future. Sign a veteran 1B like Bell or Goldschmidt to a one-year + PO type deal.
  12. Espada going to give Ferguson the Nick Hernandez treatment.
  13. I still can't believe we are essentially playing with a 26-man roster because Espada needs A. Diaz in a veteran clubhouse. That is just fucking hilarious. We could have Salazar as the 3rd catcher and play either Diaz or Caratini at 1B instead of Singleton, but Espada needs Diaz on the roster even though he provides fucking nothing from a winning games on the field stand point. If you need him in the clubhouse make him a fucking coach, but don't waste a spot on the 26-man roster for a guy you never plan on playing. This roster will need a complete make over in the off-season unless we can rely on Seattle and Texas fucking around until Altuve retires and this window of Astros baseball closes. We also need to fire Cintron and Snitker.
  14. We have an offense full of #9 hitters. Singelton, Pena, Meyers, and Dubon. If they were the #9 hitter it would be ok, but unfortunately they are hitting 5-8 tonight. Tucker fixes one of those holes if he ever returns and he get back to the level he was at before his injury, but that still leaves Espada putting 9+ easy outs into the lineup every night.
  15. Just think without the Pirates and Tampa kicking the ball around in the last 2 games, we would be looking at a 6 game losing streak and back to looking up at the Mariners. The offense is horrible right now and the pitching hasn't been much better.
  16. Thinking the same thing. Would have been an easy red card.
  17. Lulz, thinking both their OTs are going to play in the NFL. Neither are. Zuhn and Fatherlee are awful and will get exposed in week one against ND.
  18. Siri ain't doing that if Leon was in center. GG OF, haha what a horrible fucking take by Wulaw.
  19. I love how every year they fall for the same shit when it comes to recruiting in the early months.
  20. He knows shit about fuck concerning baseball, he still thinks Meyers is a good player.
  21. Kikuchi's off speead stuff is really fucking good. He grooved two FBs to the 1st two hitters and has gone almost exclusively off speed since. Early signs pointing towards a nice acquisition, the real problem was doing nothing at to keep Singleton, Dubon, McCormick, and Meyers on the bench if not DFA'd.
  22. I think the only college job he'd want is here, otherwise he's on track to become a NBA head coach.
  23. Altuve drew 13 BBs in April, he has drawn 15 since. That is just fucking abysmal. April - .345/.414/.597/1.010 - 7 HRs, 1st ballot HOF. Rest - .292/.330/.397/.727 - 7 HRs, slightly better than Dubon. If your leadoff hitter isn't walking at least 10 times a month, he needs to no longer be your leadoff hitter.
  24. He's not playing safety. It's either corner or nickel.
