  1. Siri ain't doing that if Leon was in center. GG OF, haha what a horrible fucking take by Wulaw.
  2. I love how every year they fall for the same shit when it comes to recruiting in the early months.
  3. He knows shit about fuck concerning baseball, he still thinks Meyers is a good player.
  4. Kikuchi's off speead stuff is really fucking good. He grooved two FBs to the 1st two hitters and has gone almost exclusively off speed since. Early signs pointing towards a nice acquisition, the real problem was doing nothing at to keep Singleton, Dubon, McCormick, and Meyers on the bench if not DFA'd.
  5. I think the only college job he'd want is here, otherwise he's on track to become a NBA head coach.
  6. Altuve drew 13 BBs in April, he has drawn 15 since. That is just fucking abysmal. April - .345/.414/.597/1.010 - 7 HRs, 1st ballot HOF. Rest - .292/.330/.397/.727 - 7 HRs, slightly better than Dubon. If your leadoff hitter isn't walking at least 10 times a month, he needs to no longer be your leadoff hitter.
  7. He's not playing safety. It's either corner or nickel.
  8. Pressly has been really good in his last 17 appeareances. He seems to have figured some things out. The biggest problem is when he and/or Hader give up runs the Astros lose those games because the offense is unable to answer. If Kikuchi is average and Ferguson can be some semblance of the pitcher he was previous to this season, the Astros pitching is fine, the offense is a fucking abomination due to inability to draw walks, horrible team speed, and lack of productive outs. This helps explains our 9-17 record in 1-run games. Last year, we were a little better at 20-21. We'd be 4+ games up with a similar or slightly better record in one run games as last year.
  9. No longer tied with the White Sox for least 1-run wins.
  10. Last year, they were 4th in the AL in total walks, this year they are 13th. That is the biggest reason for the inconsistency. Altuve, Bregman, Pena, and McCormick are no where close to where they were at last year.
  11. This is amazing. Jake Woodford was so bad the White Sox cut him. In his 2 starts for them, he went 8.1 IP and gave up 10 ERs. Of course, he's completely baffling our hitters with their shitty approaches.
  12. The team MVP has now been worth -0.5 WAR since May. Since that 17 game HOF streak he went on, he's hitting .199/.260/.338/.599 over 201 ABs. Without the 17 gamer, he's at .203/.264/.359/.622 over 251 ABs with 63 Ks. It's time he gets DFA'd. For a frame of reference to just how bad team MVP has been, Maldonado as the worst regular in MLB hit .191/.258/.348/.606 last year, so yes, Meyers has been almost equal to Maldonado for much of the season.
  13. Once again, no Leon. Espada is just a giant piece of shit.
  14. The problem I have with the trade deadline is Crane only went half-way. This team desperately needed another bat and likely two as well as a couple of pitchers. If you are willing to give up surplus value, then you better go all the way instead of half-way.
  15. No he wasn't. There is a reason he never won a WS title until Click made it idiot proof. It also helped that the 2022 Astros staff went on a playoff run that is not likely to be duplicated anytime soon, 11-2, 2.29 era, 126 IP, 32 ER, 43 BBs, and 160 Ks.
  16. 4 HRs coming into this series and just crushes 2 against us. Yep, he has no feel on when to change pitchers, almost always 1 batter too late.
  17. We don't really have a left handed bat at 1B either.
  18. 2/3 sucks > 1/3 doesn't suck. It sucks even when Tucker is playing.
  19. Shocker that Leon isn't playing. Brown needs to trade those 3 shitty OFs.
  20. Yet, just this season Scott, Ort, King, and Dubin. All journeymen relievers that have done well for the Astros.
  21. Just over an hour left, still need a bat.
