  1. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt on whether boomer had it coming, but let's tap the brakes on the use of 'photographer', here.
  2. very possible he won because effective campaigning claiming the other guy was a MAGA-funded? Garza, as a self-styled progressive sure does love killing trees. I got shit in the mail from him almost every day. for those that chose to vote in the Blue Team primary, with that "information" in mind, it would be no choice at all. in a non-primary election there's no way Garza wins....unless the Red Team guy is a MAGAdouche running in Travis Co. meanwhile some people may have thought more strategically and chosen to vote in the R primary simply to scuttle dickheads like Lyin' Ted. fat lotta good that did, as it turns out. it is truly depressing that the masses of California shitbirds flooding into this state couldn't be bothered to help break the cult. thank you, you can go back home now. dumbasses.
  3. then how do you explain the butt necklace in her latest selfie?
  4. is actually these pennies actually work better, but require a little wrist action when firing.
  5. traderjoesium is highly toxic, with the main side effect being gabbing incessantly at the checkout stand. I avoid it as much as possible. that said, you will have to pry their Dragon Sauce from my cold dead jibbering fingers. meanwhile, back at the non-ranch.
  6. that was a tough video to watch for a couple reasons: 1) the music SUCKED 2) I sprained my wrist in the pool at Brushy, couple weeks ago. still fucked. gonna be a while. getting old sucks.
  7. the Regal I got is the Travel one, with SS jaws, on close-out at LW for like $180 (reg $273). iirc, she gave me a deal on it below the markdown price of $191. it's rotary function is good enough for me, but what I really like is the big lever for clamping the jaws.
  8. I think I started out with that same vise (Cabela's?) I eventually got a Regal, and it's night and day. but even then, I struggled with the ROI. a Renzetti, for me? no way. a magnifying desk lamp was way more bang for the buck. when I said Salida guy, I meant a wanna-be, like me. I have an old binder with color printouts of midge patterns and whatnot from charliesflybox and some sites that don't exist anymore. but I found them by looking for specific patterns that worked for me in NM and CO. everyone absorbs info differently. seems like everyone wants youtubes, now. but I would start with the flies you plan to use to find the voice that speaks to you most effectively. the other thing is there's a lot of patterns out there that catch way more fishermen than fish. simple flies actually work, and it's easier to knock out a bunch ahead of a trip. you might find out you like tying as an end in itself. I find tying relaxing, but the goal for me is to fish them.
  9. hell yeah. had a blast last spring at Brushy after picking up a TFO 3wt. so much fun with these little shit-asses
  10. love the table, and the house. #team chairs, but benches would be good for the following: 1) will help you get laid once, 2) when you have to entertain people you don't like and don't want them to get too comfortable, 3) magazine covers. but what I also want to know is: do you plan to do anything with your rainwater pipes? I've gotten used to mine as naked white PVC, but occasionally I get ideas to help them complement the look of the house (besides paint, which I see flaking off the PVC pretty quickly and looking like shit).
  11. Living Waters dude does pretty good tying vids; but you're a Salida guy, so I'd start with some simple beadhead thread nymphs, then some crystal flash emergers (black or chocolate, you should have a bunch of black thread, anyway). then whatever. as mentioned, clousers are good starters, as are Brushy Creek Streamers (LW fly, beegtime).
  12. "F your Cheetos"? we'll table the discussion about the use of "F" for another thread counterpoint: desperate times, and whatnot. guess I'll be hittin the Burnet HEB in the mornin...
  13. and then the arabs came, and they bought mercedes-benzes...
  14. pic above is gone, but I remember. same spot, 6 years and 3 bikes (for me) later. time is a non-flat horseshoe (started at the other end) 831ft of climbing over 5 miles. extra sucky for this old couch potato, after a 20mi ride, yesterday. trying to get back.
  15. wife and kids only wanted one each, so I took one for the team, saving a ziplok joy to the world
  16. looks like a saturday afternoon at Chuckie Cheese's
  17. scary notice on Strava during my walk todaaaayyyyyyy.
