  1. +1 on the Encore. I use a french press (like the sst one above) and my wife uses an aero press, so the grind adjustment gets a fair amount of use. I fucked up and let it overfill once. managed to clear it myself without much trouble. still works great, two years in.
  2. that's on you for reading his posts at all.
  3. how was it ever going to boil if she watched it? do you even science?
  4. meanwhile, at deer camp: chili variations yes, I know. new phone case on order.
  5. reminder: need to go find some brookies. or at least where they are.
  6. test driving some HEB frozen 'thinly-sliced sirloin beef'. not bad, but needed a little zip, and I don't know where to get the hot pepper relish locally, anymore. used chili-garlic paste and some peperoncinis. left over purple hulls and mashed on the side.
  7. csb/ was in a swanky hotel in Oklahoma City where my wife's lawyer uncle reserved rooms for all the out-of-town guests for his rotation for Thanksgiving. we were about to come off break from family time, and hit the hotel bar to self-medicate before heading back over to the circus. my wife was cold, so ordered a Bailey's and coffee. this is what she got.
  8. it's MikeB. you know he just did 3 snaps up to end that post.
  9. he's got that nba dribble down, anyway.
  10. yessir. very much so, sir. this was my setup for watching the game, last night: the intake for the air purifier strategically positioned. could have pointed it at the tv and been better off.
  11. I started with this recipe, but with a more curry powder, and a whole lot less honey--like maybe a 1/4tsp, at the most. http://www.thekitchenmaus.com/quick-curry-ketchup/ I also don't mix it in a separate container. I just buy a smaller bottle of our usual and squirt some out into the existing family-size bottle of the same, to make room for the additives. I then use a funnel to feed the adds as a slurry, stir it with a chopstick or something, then shake the shit out of it. takes a day or two to settle in and taste right. what's funny to me is she's trying to replicate Hela off-the-shelf curry ketchup. but I'd never had it until I stumbled upon it somewhere, after having made my own a few times. the Hela stuff was disgusting. part of it may be the too-sweetness, but it might also be the ketchup base they use, which everyone has their own favorite. in the process, I figured out how to make my own Hut's hickory sauce, which I think is just ketchup with some liquid smoke and worcestershire. but I mess with that, too, as my memory changes.
  12. couple Earl Campbell hotlinks with some sauerkraut and japs, dressed with jalapeño mustard and homemade curry ketchup.
  13. lighten up, Francis. you're the one posting snuff films.
  14. hell, no. keep it flowing. a day without dead russians is like a day without sunshine.
  15. just turned 54. new board. bad back. fuck am I doing?
  16. wine cork dart board backer thing, and scoreboard.
  17. love me some Sea Monkeys Alfredo
  18. the last part first: I needed some bread crumbs for tonight's dinner recipe. I pulled this out of the cabinet: empty, except for the egg shells. must have been from when she made meatballs, however many weeks ago. corking the empty wine bottle and leaving it on the counter every time is annoying, but whatever. this? come the fuck on.
  19. I don't know why I made this, because for all the times I saw it on the Double Dave's buffet, I never had any interest. like, I'd just wait for them to reload, if this was all that was left. maybe even get a salad. bbq chicken pizza. skillet-reheated heb rotochicken on garlic naan.
