  1. Mathematically, yeah. Effectively it would be over before the ink dried.
  2. Oh, absolutely. Fox News is very good at what they do. My response was to the notion that it's time for people on the left to acknowledge that most people want a secure border and less crime. Yeah, no one on the left ever said otherwise.
  3. Okay, but literally no one on the left is in favor of open borders that let anyone and everyone in. That is a Fox News straw man. Obama deported more people than any other president. Etc. And no one is saying that petty crime should be allowed, either. But there's a type of triage that goes into policing with limited budgets. Anybody, on either side, want to raise taxes enough so that police departments are properly staffed to deal with all types of crime? Of course not. The problem with what the right wing does on these issues is a) the straw man arguments, and b) the blatant hypocrisy of what they claim to care about and what they'll overlook, or worse, misdirect attention away from, often with outright lies. The GOP is just 100% full of shit all the time. They don't care about crime any more than they care about the free market or individual liberties. They say what needs to be said to get the numbers to get the power that lets them continue to get the money. It's an elaborate grift, a 30-to-40-year long con, and when they've destroyed this country and all of the suckers in it, they'll all buy islands and disappear. They do not care about any issue, or any person, at all. Dolla dolla bill, y'all.
  4. 1.5 inches in Cedar Park, which is enough if you know how to use it.
  5. This. I go to HEB at about 7 am on a Sat or Sun and get my pick while the store is mostly empty of people. I don't need some Gen Z-er bringing me the 14th best steaks and some bananas that aren't still green enough to be good for several days.
  6. The same people who care about a federal building being vandalized by brown protestors but don't give a fuck about the Capitol building being stormed by white protesters to overturn an election result that they didn't like. The same people who are pro-cop, except on that day. The same people who care about a sexual assault when it's done by a brown immigrant, but not when it's done by Trump or Giuliani. The thing about righteous indignation is that you get to choose which things to be indignant about, because you're the righteous ones, and you've got the only legitimate news channel to confirm how right you are, every single night. This country is so thoroughly and completely fucked.
  7. So, if someone de-balls you in public like that, does that make you trans?
  8. God damn. This country has lost its fucking mind.
  9. Yep, the GOP is officially less likable than drug cartels. Great job, idiots.
  10. Yeah, that is not good.
  11. Let me get this straight. In the midst of one of the most insane weeks of news in recent memory, and that is really saying something, I'm supposed to give a shit about the mafia rigging an underground poker game? Yeah, no. Even the mafia is like, "Pffft, whatever." Hell, they probably self-reported it like Oklahoma back in the day to keep the NCAA from looking under the bigger rocks.
  12. It's gotten great reviews? What, like Ballrooms Monthly raved about it? That must be a Russian publication, but you'd better hope they don't find out that all that gold will be fake, you cheap piece of shit.
  13. Trump is going to be sworn in for life in that god damned new ballroom. This reconstruction is symbolic of a lot of things all at once.
  14. Nah, he's just been aging prematurely from using The Force for evil. See also, Stephen Miller.
  15. Trump trying to pay himself $230 million in tax payer money as reparations for prior DOJ investigations is really going to piss off all these fiscal conservatives. And in the middle of a government shutdown, with military members about to stop getting their checks? Man, he's gone too far this time. This is gonna be good.
  16. So, the guy who admitted to having a Nazi streak is no longer up for promotion, but he gets to keep his current role, and this country is so insane that this only gets a couple of minutes on CNN?
  17. "Well, you knew this was coming. Urban sprawl has reached Pennsylvania Avenue, as America's first black president has demolished part of the White House, creating an eyesore for the community and tanking neighboring home values. When will they learn? Now to prove we're not racist, here's Shermichael Singleton."
  18. In the very near future, they will convince the lower class that the people losing their 401k's were greedy intellectual elitists who never should have had those 401k's in the first place. The lower class will cheer as the middle class is knocked into the lower class. The top 1% will eventually own 99% instead of 95%. That's all any of this is really about.
  19. Because some of those negros can really move. Why do you hate the military? You just made the list.
  20. All of this. I've been critical of Sark at times, but I am overall a believer, still. But I don't understand how you let this offensive line happen in the transfer era with almost unlimited NIL resources. What is the point of all the 5- and 4-star skill guys when you're going to lose in the trenches every weekend? How does an offensive guru not understand that if you can't block, you can't do anything else? The same way that a misplayed poker hand can sometimes still win the pot, all of this needs to be reevaluated no matter how it turns out.
  21. It's interesting that the two most important documents in human history, per about 100 million Americans, are the Bible and the Constitution, and they don't know or care what's in either one.
  22. Does this mean Ann-Marget's NOT coming?
  23. This was my initial thought as well, and I actually had this conversation with a friend. If I had to guess at this point, I'd say we're going to lose to Georgia and split with Vandy and aggy. That would leave us 8-4 and headed to a bowl game instead of the playoff. While that is a huge letdown after starting the season #1, it's not 5-7, and we're not in that old era of multi-year rebuilds. We should have no problem coming into next year with a greatly improved O line and a more mature WR room and starting QB. So, I don't think there's any way that this season is as bad as 2010. That was the beginning of a dozen years of being a national punchline, with a coach who no longer gave a shit. Now, we should be right back to being a playoff contender next season.
  24. He needs to fire himself as play caller, and I don't think he will.
  25. Yeah, he goes through stretches where he's worthless. I don't get it, either. I just don't understand why anyone assumes a completely unproven backup is going to fare any better in this overall offense right now.
