  1. We are trying to win without a QB/offense
  2. He wasn’t fucking down and we touched his legs and that’s roughing?!?!?
  3. I’d take Ricky, Earl, Benson and Jamaal Charles over any Bama back. Fuck.
  4. No man, goddamnit. Give me either of these guys:
  5. no contest. (the cutaway to the player’s face at the 0:50 mark is fucking art. I mean the entire thing is art, but that shot kills me every time.)
  6. He didn’t. From 2017-2020, Texas was 14-13 in games decided by fewer than 10 points. Basically a coin flip. Mack Brown consistently won close games at Texas; Herman didn’t.
  7. On 7 offensive series, Texas gained 307 yards on 40 plays with the starting offense in the game…so 7.7 yards per play despite QE missing on each of the deep throws he attempted. The results were: 4 TDs, 1 FG, 1 missed FG (halftime cut the drive short), and 1 INT on QE’s first drive in which he tried to force the ball twice. So yeah, it would have been nice if the freshman QB hadn’t tried to force that ball on his first drive, and it would have been nice if he’d connected on one of his 2 or 3 deep balls to Worthy, but overall it seemed all right to me. Certainly imperfect, but all right.
  8. He missed significant time last year after aggressively removing his shirt…
  9. Huh? The mean win prediction is 8. The median is 8. The range is 7-9. How the hell does one interpret that as “one person thinks the team will be good and the other 4 do not”? They’re all essentially saying the exact same thing.
  10. Man, this reminds me that it once seemed a possibility that Texas and A&M could go to the Pac and how much comedy gold there would have been with the west coast schools experiencing the ags firsthand. The USC song girls juxtaposed with the yell leaders. Berkeley being inundated with aggies. Etc. It would have been marvelous.
  11. He’s 28 and still striking out in 28% of his PAs in AAA. The dude has talent but has never been able to hit well enough to be a legit MLB player.
  12. 8 out of 46 (.174) on balls in play last 2 games. Bad luck. Would be nice to hit a HR or 2 though.
  13. (I too would not wish cancer on him or anyone. Ok, on most anyone.)
  14. Yeah not sure about that. They’re already decent and have a hell of a farm system. Rodriguez may come up next year, Rutschman may become an annual MVP candidate, etc. I don’t expect them to be dominant in 2023 or anything, but they figure to be very competitive over the next several seasons.
