  1. Looks like the rumors that FSU was going to skip the Orange Bowl turned out to be true.
  2. The man knows his meat. I have one of those KitchenAid grinders and it is awesome. I almost never buy store ground beef anymore. The quality of fresh ground is far superior and I can do a coarser grind, which everyone in my house prefers. I can also grind some meat, then sprinkle seasonings on, then repeat in layers to season the meat without compacting it by mixing afterwards. Catch a chuck, or round roast, on sale and chuck them in the freezer and it's pretty economical as well. If you've already got a KitchenAid mixer, get that grinder attachment. You won't regret it.
  3. Very cool specimen and I'm going to use it as an excuse to talk about exploding whales, since that's likely what happened to this specimen as well. Things that die and wind up in water go through a process called bloat and float. The decomposition gasses build up, and bloat the carcass, which then floats around, continuing to decay and produce more gasses. This is why the mob uses cement overshoes and why @Nicole44 will soon start using something similar on Rainey St. Eventually, the pressure builds up enough to explode and the carcass sinks. Here's a whale carcass that is close to rupturing. And here are some gifs of what this looks like when it explodes. I'm going to spoiler them, because although it's very cool, the explosions are violent and fucking disgusting.
  4. Fuck people. Let's use the Reptilians. Pound for pound, they are stronger than people, and can move him more quickly. We will have to make sure the sun is out though...
  5. The Royal Tyrell is easily the best paleontology museum in NA, likely the world. If you or your kid have an interest in dinosaurs, ice age mammals, marine mammals, or Burgess Shale fauna, you want to go there. The specimens there are incredible and most are from the local area. They also do public dinosaur dig experiences where you can go out and dig with them. I'm not going to hijack an awesome thread further, but I'll post 2 quick pics. Anyone with questions, feel free to hit me up via PM. Here's a tyrannosaurid preserved in a death pose, where the ligaments on the neck shrank as they dried out after death, with the neck and tail pulled back over the body. There are only a few of these in the world and virtually all are at the Tyrell. A longhorned bison skull (cattle come from Africa).
  6. The only thing Stephen Miller knows about organics is how to harvest their organs.
  7. I had that in mind, but I wasn't clear. Normally long coat tails drags the other candidates along, I was thinking of Trump's effect in these districts as a long fupa that falls under their feet, trips them up and then forces them up and under the fupa, where any future political ambitions are asphyxiated, then their husk of a corpse is discarded. I should have stated it as Trump has long fupatails. I like the gerbils one too.
  8. Negative. Virtually all women are freezing all of the time. Witches are women and thus it's an accurate descriptor. Saying "it's colder than a warlock's tit" on the other hand... All of us that grew up in the West/Southwest probably have a bunch of those Old West origin words. I'm working on eliminating "off the reservation" and "off the rez" from my own speech after I caught myself before making a similar gaffe. Shit's hard. I hadn't realized how often I said them until I started paying attention.
  9. They definitely should. And then keep asking him. Dotard has no self-control, he'd eventually slip up, "WON"T NEED ONE" or go full "YOU'RE GODDAMN RIGHT, I'M RUNNING AGAIN". It wouldn't dissuade his supporters, and might even encourage them, but it might help more people recognize the danger. If he wins in 2024, he'll never step down willingly, and I doubt we have another election. It will be a sham if we do.
  10. Exactly. Trump is going to have negative coat tails in those districts. It'll be so bad, we'll have to invent a term for it. Since coat tails cover the ass, maybe a term for something that hangs down in the front... Fupa tails? I'm open to suggestions.
  11. Mack was never going to let any OC have actual control and run what they want. Mack spent 2 years as OC of mediocre offenses, so he knows more than anyone else. Plus, he's a pussy and a thin-skinned control freak.
  12. Definitely, but they wouldn't even have needed that many. They only had to look serviceable on O, but they bombed against a Louisville D that every other playoff contender would annihilate. Louisville gives up 307 total yards per game, FSU had 219. Louisville gives up 205 yards passing, 55 yards is hilariously inept. Even well below average QB play, instead of historically awful, combined with 28-35 points and they would have been in. Regardless of what the committee wanted to do, the heat would have been too high. FSU made it very easy for the committee to leave them out with their shitty performances against Florida and Louisville.
  13. TL/DR Comparing 2014 OSU to 2023 FSU in attempt to justify FSU in the playoffs is ludicrous and anyone doing so should stop, or go turn in their degree. In 2014, Wisc gave up 20 ppg. Ohio State put up 59 points. Wisc gave up 283 total ypg, OSU had 558 total yards on 56 plays (over 10 yards per play). Wisc gave up 164 passing ypg. Cardale Jones had 257 yards on 12/17 passing (15.1 avg) with 3 TDs. Wisc gave up 119 rushing ypg. OSU had 301 on 38 carries (7.9 avg) and added 4 TDs. OSU had 39 more points, 228 more total yards, 93 more passing yards and 182 more rushing yards than the average Wisc opponent. Now FSU FL gives up 27.6 ppg. FSU put up 24 points. FL gives up 382 total ypg. FSU had 224 total yards on 57 plays (3.9 yards per play). FL gives up 227 passing ypg. Rodemaker had 134 yards on 12/25 passing (5.2 avg), Glenn had 0 yards on 0/1 passing (0 avg). FL gives up 156 rushing ypg. FSU had 90 yards on 31 carries (2.9 avg). FSU had 3.6 fewer points, 158 fewer total yards, 93 fewer passing yards, and 66 fewer rushing yards than the average Florida opponent. Louisville gives up 19.7 ppg. FSU put up 16. Louisville gives up 307 total ypg. FSU had 219 total yards on 65 plays (3.4 yards per play). Louisville gives up 205 passing ypg. Glenn was 8/21 passing for 55 yards (2.6 avg). Louisville gives up 102 rushing ypg. FSU ran 44 times for 164 yards(3.7 avg). FSU had 88 fewer total yards, 150 fewer passing yards, 62 more yards rushing (but avg only 3.7/carry) and 3.7 fewer points. Now a combined comparison. In the last two games, FSU has scored a combined 40 points vs. Ohio State's 59 points in one game. FSU put up 443 yards combined in two games, versus OSU's 558 yards in one game. Rodemaker and Glenn have combined to go 20/47 for 189 yards, 0 TD, 0 INT vs Cardale Jones' 12/17 for 257 yards, 3 TD, 0 INT in one game. FSU rushed for a total of 254 yards combined both game vs. Ohio State's 301 yards in one game.
  14. Rodemaker sucks ass too. He and FSU's offense were putrid against a terrible Florida defense that fired their DL/co-defensive coordinator and secondary coaches four days later. Here are Florida's season stats on defense. UF gives up 409 ypg total offense, FSU managed only 224 yards. UF gives up 259 ypg, Rodemaker managed only 134 yards. He was sub 50% passing at 12/25. UF gives up 149 ypg on the ground, FSU managed only 90 yards on 31 carries. An average of 2.9 yards per carry. FSU was only up by 2 points with 3:00 to go in the game and won by a pedestrian 24-15. Even with Rodemaker at QB, they would get fucking annihilated by every other team in the top eight and would likely be beaten by at least the next four teams.
  15. We're proud of you for admitting this BV. Now, if you could just pass it on Kalen and the rest of the team, they can forfeit and focus on the holidays, and we'll start game planning for Michigan and Bama.
  16. Well Penix did it over and over, so if Helobious followed through, it definitely opened up his something...
  17. Incredibly, in a game that stands out as historically shitty, Swoopes still beats Glenn with 57 yards passing to 55.
  18. 55 yards passing would be horrendous for a QB in 1955.
  19. Maybe Plummer should try throwing left handed. Can't be worse.
