  1. This has been the correct answer since 2014 and it will remain the correct answer until we do it. Bullies will keep escalating until someone escalates back and beats the shit out of them. They only understand strength. The longer it takes, the weaker the long term outlook for support from the West becomes. This will only encourage Putin. His plan is to ride this out until his agents derail western support. That's the only part of his invasion plan that is working. When Russia invaded in February, there was broad bipartisan support for Ukraine. After less than a year, polls show 52% of the GOP is willing to let Putin rape, pillage and genocide Ukraine. A much smaller percentage on the far left agrees. Similar patterns are playing out in other NATO allies as well. I'm going to leave it there, as statements of fact, so it doesn't get too far off track into CR territory, but this is quickly trending the wrong direction and the prognosis for long-term bipartisan support for Ukraine is extremely poor. We do not want to fuck around with this conflict persisting into 2024. While we still have some bipartisan support, we need to give Ukraine what they need to decisively end this conflict by the end of the summer and throw Russia out of the Donbas and Crimea.
  2. In retrospect, it might have been a terrible idea to give a huge amount of public money in tax cuts and forgiven "loans" to corporations and business owners with very few strings, or oversight, attached. I mean, you could only look at something like this in retrospect. It would be impossible to predict this exact outcome based on the last 42 years of data. Who, aside from literally everyone, could have seen this coming?
  3. If you want something really infectious, take any that might be able to be influential and give them the Boris Yeltsin grocery store treatment. Let them see how everyday people in the West live compared to the bulk of the population of Russia. Remind them that the reasons THEY don't get to live like that are the kleptocrats stealing from them. Their quality of life only goes up when they point their guns back at the kleptocrats. The sooner they realize that, the better.

  5. Miss Ukraine gets to use her sword.
  6. She's got a two-day head start on them, which is more than she needs. That leopard's got friends in every town and village from here to the Sudan. She speaks a dozen languages, knows every local custom. She'll blend in, disappear; you'll never see her again. With any luck, she's got her Whataburger already.
  7. Exactly. A ceasefire only gives Russia time to re-arm, reload and wait for Putin's agents to stop Western support for Ukraine. Now is the time to amplify that aid and bury the Russians.
  8. Justice for Ashli Babbit would be to put the liars that worked her up into attacking our capital in jail. I'm still waiting for it too.
  9. The Cybertruck is a meme electric truck. It's not a serious attempt, because Musk is not a serious person. Cybertruck is to electric trucks as Doge Coin is to the dollar.
  10. 100%. 2008 O was legit. The 2009 offense was Colt + Jordan + baling twine. The 2008 D was filthy. 2008 was Mack's second best team and it's not really close. A bunch of other Big XII coaches fucked us by intentionally downlinking us in the final regular season poll. Florida beat OU by 10, same score differential we did. OU was a pretender.
  11. It's also going to depend on timing. Prigozhin/PMC's have gradually been accumulating more power at the expense of the professional Russian army and leadership. Also, as you pointed out, Prigozhin just released a bunch of criminals back into the wild. I think it will be interesting to see if they owe him loyalty for their freedom from prison, or if they fault him for the awful conditions they were deployed in. Prigozhin has apparently successfully blamed most of that on the professional Russian military and leadership, so the convict army likely sides with him. Putin used ties with the Russian mob to help consolidate power and that's an obvious route for Prigozhin to follow. At this point, he would have to be considered the favorite to replace Putin, having a private army and a network of criminals. The longer it takes, the stronger Prigozhin's hand gets. Regarding how that effects the war, there are people in Russia that Ukraine and the West could potentially hold discussions with. Prigozhin is not one of them. He's a criminal thug that would be a complete non-starter as a leader that Ukraine/the West could actually negotiate with, so the war would likely continue and depend on how strong his hold on power is. Regardless of who it is, it's going to be difficult for anyone to match the level of control Putin has seized, especially on such an accelerated time scale. Unfortunately, the Russian people have proven themselves to lack even an ounce of independence, or self-respect, so they'll likely stand aside and accept the new czar and do what they are told. Same as they always have.
  12. I hope that's not all it is, but I've learned not to get my hopes up for consequences for any of these pieces of shit. He's a seditious liar, who will say whatever he needs to in order to get attention, so this could all be bullshit anyway. Whatever it is is likely not a clear cut crime, based on the way he described it. "in my summation and the summation of lawyers, committed a crime." If he was going to out her as the pipe bomber, for example, he wouldn't need lawyers to surmise that was a crime. The offense involves Georgia somehow, but he's not confident Georgia will prosecute it. He says the House "must" expel Greene, not that they will. He spent the rest of the rant calling her a "whore" and harlot", which makes pretty clear whatever he's upset about is of a sexual nature. This strongly implies that whatever it is, it involves drunken nights, MGT and consultants. That all reads drunken MGT cheating on her husband and fucking consultants. I hope I'm wrong and it's actually something much bigger.
  13. Ali Alexander was ranting about her being a "whore" and a "harlot". Adultery is illegal in Georgia. His big reveal is going to be that she was cheating on her husband, which everyone else already knows.

  15. Spot on. The GQP voters elected clowns. This is their circus.
  16. Yep. He's caved on every possible issue, or committee membership, thought he had a deal, and they fucked him anyway. They are #NeverKevin and McCarthy's a moron that still thinks he can bribe them.
  17. No one knows. He keeps flipping the money table over and telling them to read it again.
  18. Every day they are fucking up the voting for Speaker is one fewer day they are fucking up the rest of the country.
  19. They are going to continue to be nothing, but noise. If they actually had anything, we'd have seen it by now.
  20. We need them to miss the XP so we can get overtime.
  21. Agreed. College football is much lesser for his passing. Why couldn't it have been Switzer?
  22. The Statesman decided decades ago they'd make more money employing a troll, than trying to find a legitimate sports commentator. Besides, someone actually good at their job might leave for a bigger market.
  23. Fucking wow. What a game.
