  1. Got back yesterday from 4 nights. I didn’t take many pictures and the ones I did suck. Breakfast: Horns - can’t remember what I ate but I don’t think it was on the menu online. The Bloody Mary was great, so maybe that’s why New Orleans Cake Cafe - Boudin and eggs was awesome. I’d definitely go back for that. Ruby Slipper - had the Benedict trio. The cochon was the best with the etouffee one a close second. Way too much food, but seemed like a good way to start the day. Lunch: Ate at the Blues & BBQ festival one day. All local vendors and shared a few things with friends. Nothing was really great, but it was a fun atmosphere Dat Dog - shared a hot dog with the wife that was pretty great. Just fancy, overpriced hot dogs Dinner: Dragos - oysters were good but everything else was by far the worst my group had on the trip. It was a neat experience, but we had better oysters elsewhere Luke - after watching the Texas game at a brewery, I’m sure the food may not have been as great as I remember now. Had shrimp and grits and some great cocktails Saba - easily the best restaurant we went to on the trip. With cocktails and shared plates, it ended up being around $80 / pp, but I’ll definitely go back. The highlights were the blue crab hummus / pita, lutenista, octopus and falafel. The roasted chicken we shared was really good, but not worth the price at all. I’d probably try one of the other options next time. Cochon Butcher - had boudin and shared the Monday night special (fried pork chops and red beans and rice) + gyro with the wife. All 3 were great and it was an easy, quick dinner (counter service).
  2. I wonder if aggy treated that like the Clemson / Bama covers this year
  3. @Huckleberry so aggy is the best 2 loss team in the nation and should be ranked right below us?
  4. My bad...not going to pretend I knew that, but beer and recent memories of sooner tears got me excited last night. 2x in one year with the latter being a championship?
  5. Vote delete thread. I’ve been critical of Herman’s coachisms and on field results, but I’ve come around. I believe Herman is instilling what we’ve desired for decades - a hard nosed, never quit, not entitled football team. His coachisms now seem real. I believe him when he says they will take it one game at a time. I believe him when he says they are family and play for each other. He was exactly right that the LJH screen was the play of the game. Our floor is 9 games this year and we have the upside to be competing for the championship. In year 2...the year well documented here as being the proof that a coach is capable. We may slip up and lose a game we shouldn’t (or should), but I’m no longer selling Herman. He’s our guy. We’re going to be ok. Fuck the haters.
  6. Quoting myself to say I’m going to be 6-2 in December. TTLP
  7. OU sucks. Let’s make history and beat them twice in one year. ttlp x2
  8. 15-16-1 5-2 in person
  9. Expecting to win breeds entitlement
  10. For sure. Bad holds and general offensive ineptitude made it close as well. Murray was rattled in the 3rd and sailing his throws. If we didn’t open the door with back to back holds, I think the 4th would have been more of the same.
  11. To be fair, he’s also the reason they made it competitive at the end.
  12. I’ve bitched about Beck and Herman a lot. I was wrong. Crow is delicious. The team isn’t perfect. It’s young and make mistakes at bad times. But Herman and co have completely changed the culture and mentality. He’s our guy.
  13. Box office told me to go through will call, so didn’t miss a thing. Crisis adverted
  14. Is this one of those fake aggy posts from a visiting fan? Oh wait...we know you’re legit and we’re not a bunch of dorks
  15. Got them redone, sold them. Please leave the guys that got them alone - good people
  16. Sold
  17. I think you may be right
  18. $250 each obo pm me to meet up. Have to get them printed at will call first
  19. Yep - they told me this morning after I already bought replacements. Stupid thing...
  20. I may be able to get the tickets reprinted. Pm me if interested. Headed to will call now per Texas box office instructions.
  21. Buddy recommended this, but I’m not going to try it. I can guarantee you section 115, row 31 seats 15-16 are open because my wife threw away my damn tickets. Good luck.
  22. I have a fun submission. My wife leaves important mail on the counter for me to look at before filing (shoving in her desk). A few weeks ago our Texas OU tickets came in. I glanced at them and said neat. We went to dinner and I didn’t think much of it. A day or so later the tickets disappear. I didn’t think much of it...she generally clears the counter when people come over. Tonight she asks me where I put the tickets. I said I left them on the counter, but she doesn’t believe me and frantically searches my laptop bag and asks me to look in my car. Because logically, tickets go in the car I guess. Turns out I didn’t do anything with the tickets. She lost the tickets. Meaning she threw them away while stress cleaning. So no corn dog or wax paper cup beer for me this year. She doesn’t do or say much stupid shit, but this may make up for how easy I have it. Next year I guess they’re going in my car.
  23. *4 better than OUs defense with 3. According to adjustedstats.com, only KSU is worse than OU.
  24. Are you correcting the Texas Almanac?
  25. Best part of the thread was this gem: https://texasalmanac.com/topics/education/beginnings-university-texas-and-texas-am-university Aggy little brother syndrome started day 1 when they were told to go away and find super shitty land in the middle of no where. The land grant was contested for a decade and they settled for the best offer - barren land full of wolves. Instead of being thrilled about opening the first public university in the state, the Legislature decided the same year aggy doors opened that “A university of the first class" be established at a site selected by a vote of the people and that it be called "The University of Texas." The Agricultural and Mechanical College was to be a branch of the main university.”
