  1. I’ve found cities or a beach is best with a baby. Somewhere you don’t have to get in a car and drive is ideal.

I enjoy Roman cucina in Richardson quite a bit. Solid neighborhood Italian for the family and they have fresh squeezed ipa.
  3. My cousin pulled that one year. My dad, brother and I chose to go to the game instead of the wedding. 10 years later, some of the family is still pissed about it, but watching the horns pull off the upset 45-35 was worth every bit of scorn. She got divorced a few years later anyway.
  4. I haven’t been, but I was working with someone from Montreal in NY a few years ago and she swore the bagels were significantly better.
  5. Probably learned from this guy.
  6. I just heard at the office that Craig James killed 5 hookers while he was at SMU. That’s sick.
  7. I’ve been going down the black hole of maximizing award flights. I came across awardhacker.com which led me to finding some business class deals to Europe for 90k points RT around Christmas. Awardhacker will give you the points by airline for any route so you can figure out how to get the most out your points. It requires some work to find dates that work and some creativity depending on where your points are to unlock the awards. For the 90k flights, I’ll have to book through Korean Air - flights are delta. Korean Air is great for me since most of my points are Ultimate Rewards.
  8. You could check out Whole Foods. Or scare her with the after work douche crowd at moxies.

I’m amazed at the number of people I’ve run into that say hard8 is the best. Completely agree on Lockhart Plano. The bishop arts location is generally solid but I’ve had the inedible brisket at the Plano location a couple times.
  10. If you go big 4, try to get into transaction advisory...even if you have to do audit first. Deal experience and accounting translates well down the road.

LA Burger is my favorite in the burbs. The sweet buns are awesome.

Agree with Al Biernat’s. Always interesting people watching there, too. I went to Town Hearth with a group of 6 in October for my wife’s birthday and they sat us in the private room. It was a phenomenal experience. Nothing really set it apart from other top steakhouses in Dallas food or service wise, but it was nice to have our own space to celebrate. The steak was pretty much the same quality as what you get at Neighborhood Services. If I want steak and it’s just my wife and I, I’d rather go there. Meatballs and porterhouse for 2 with drinks for about $125.

Cattleack seems to get better every time I go. I was skeptical they could handle the growth, but they’re killing it. By this point, I’d expect the owners to have turned the line work over...says something that they still do the work themselves.
  14. Altered Carbon is supposed to be a good book, but it didn’t really translate. I thought the premise had potential, but didn’t think it was well done.
  15. I’ve done keto off and on for a few years and was down 30lbs average from the start. I’d be able to maintain keto for a month or so and then have something (work dinner/HH, holidays/vacation ) knock me off. I changed it up this year and put some money down through healthywage.com. I pledged $100 a month for 6 months to get $1,240 back if I lose 40lbs. I also did 3 6% lost in 3 months challenges that paid about $85 for $60 wagered. Started keto in January and got back to the gym more regularly (~3 times a week). Hit 30lbs lost beginning of March, but gained some back with a March madness Vegas trip and cheating on the weekends. I’m back to my low weight today and think I should be able to hit the 40lb mark pretty easily by the late June weigh-in. The key difference for me this year is the cash. I expected it to be a motivator, but it’s working better than expected. It’s easier to get back to diet and exercise knowing there’s a goal with money on the line. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for more incentive to change.
  16. Did he stab someone waiting for a table?
  17. At least Carl died. Too bad it was 7 seasons too late
  18. Same name, probably will take 4-5 years to reach my 400 shaggy posts
  19. Well that’s depressing as fuck
  20. I think season 2 was better than 1 - pretty strong ending. It’s an easy watch for simple entertainment. Stranger Things is solid and unique. You should add it.
  21. I can’t imagine rewatching an entire season of most shows, but it may be worth it for westworld
