  1. PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, Google Pay, Apple Pay? Jimbo didn’t need FedEx
  2. I think brother did this one, or one like it, so he could visit Heidelberg. Am not 100%sure. That’s where our direct ancestor grandfather came from to America in 1753. He said it ran about $8,000 for the two of them, IIRC. https://www.vikingrivercruises.com/cruise-destinations/europe/christmas-main-moselle/2026-paris-prague/index.html
  3. Are you talking about the river cruises in Europe? One of my brothers & his wife took a Christmas cruise on the Rhine or Danube about 10 years ago and enjoyed it immensely.
  4. This little bulldog in uniform was the only real entertainment we saw going over. He was the mascot for the Marine battalion on board being shipped to Okinawa. His Gyrene handler brought him up to the dependents passenger lounge to put on a little show of doggie tricks…..and was rewarded by slurping up a couple of ounces of Jim Beam from a saucer. I took this photo right after they disembarked dockside in Okinawa…
  5. Try a two week “cruise” out of sight of land on this large but old transport with no casino, no showroom, one dining room, no theater, and no stabilizers…. Did that twice from San Fran to Korea, Japan, Okinawa, Taiwan 68 years ago.
  6. Yep, and I went ahead and ordered the XL last night. Just to have a slightly different option from the X.
  7. Yep, trash with cash flash.
  8. Evidently they don’t share the same common clay with Nebraska, Clemson, LSU, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Auburn, Penn State, and Ohio state. And are sodium deficient.
  9. No, that would be the 320 model adopted by the US Army. Nothing amiss with the P365 series as far as I know.
  10. Very good deal - PSA clearance on Sig Sauer P365XL ……. $449.99: https://palmettostatearmory.com/sig-sauer-p365xl-or-9mm-3-7-12rd-pistol-w-night-sights-black.html
  11. Time for a necrobump….
  12. Pickett’s charge across that corn field.
  13. Yeah, they got us there. Our fans just haven’t seen that much baseball in Austin..
  14. Well, it took the city almost that long to get the Zilker Park kiddie train rolling, then promptly had to shut it down because of a design flaw.
  15. That’s when Academy was actually a military surplus store. When I started going there 65 years ago they were stacked with WW2 & Korean War stuff….just piled on tables & sometimes the floor. Chuck’s Gun Shop was located a couple of blocks north of Academy on that service road. Chuck’s was burgled once in the 1960s or 70s - over 80 guns, mostly handguns, were stolen. They turned up at crime scenes for years afterwards.
  16. Good luck to the young man.
  17. Maybe, but to tell the truth I don’t really remember. I do remember there were separate key ignition & starter switches, along with a manual pull choke - all on the dashboard….. plus the horn button and turn signal switch.
  18. The last stick I had was my ‘91 S-10 pickup.
  19. If ever a username fit, this one is spot on…
  20. It’s all a matter of taste. Having started out 60+ years ago with a used 1960 MGA Roadster that had wood floorboards, Lucas electrics with two 6-volt batteries, and no roll-up windows or radio, my 2024 Civic EXL Hatchback is a nice luxury car.
  21. LMFAO Second only to Switzer as a dirty cheating unethical sumbitch…..and they still worship him…
