  3. Had my first Waygu at Soto’s in Austin last week. It was ok, but not nearly as good as the Kobe steak I had at the Grand Hotel in Yokohama 68 years ago. Kobe steak dinner for our family of four at the Grand was $20 total…..a tidy sum in those days.

  7. Actually, I missed that one. We were stuck in the backeater town of Giddings, Texas when that fim premiered in ‘69. The local movie house usually showed 2nd run B films from the early ‘60s.

  9. My Dad (Mizzou Class of 1933) attended the Tigers/Longhorn game at Columbia in 1932. The Horns pummeled them 65-0.
  10. Correct. Ted Koy went there after his football career at UT and the NFL was over. He set up his successful veterinary practice in Georgetown.
