  1. Forgot to mention - while the troops were sitting around waiting to get into the trenches, one of them was reading a newspaper, then left it on the ground. After the explosion and they got out of the trenches, the newspaper was still in place. Apparently when the massive shockwave spread out, it just pressed downward on the newspaper like it was glued to the ground.
  2. There were pigs staked out various distances & in different elevation exposures from Ground Zero. Some disappeared completely, some burned to a crip, others were half cooked and still alive sqealing in agony The area around Ground Zero had been divided up into pie sections, each allotted to a different government agency or scientific institution for all kinds of experimental situations. A wide variety of stuctures were builtaround it like a complete town….commercial , industrial, and residential buildings & homes that were completely furnished inside like the real things. All kinds of vehicles were parked around too, including military hardware. afterwards, Dad saw a half-melted engine block - all that was left of a Patton tank - a mile to the rear.
  3. I thought Vandy fans were supposed to be more intelligent than the average mouth breathers.
  4. Manziel is too stupid to realize he could have still been doing a lot more on the field today if he hadn’t been such a fookin’ loser off the field.
  5. Dad was in an 8’ deep trench 1,000 yards from the base when that bomb was detonated, then just a few short minutes later was standing above ground watching the cloud expand way back over behind their position. The shockwave had flattened a metal building 10 miles from ground zero.
  6. Well, in that case it must be a big locker.
  7. This is the aggie quote from that Snopes story…
  8. Yep, and our cars will be tracking some of that excess gravel all the way into the garage for years afterward.
  9. Bigger & noisier at MB’s. House drinks are equal, Crispy Taco plates at MB’s are a little tastier. Beef enchilada plates at Santiago’s are better. Santiago’s queso compuesto ftw. So is their salsa. We like both places, but are not culinary gourmets.
  10. In 1957 my Dad said, “Hold my beer”…..
  11. Fake AI “news” has jumped the shark with this one……. Branson Area Breaking News • Follow 1d • Elderly Woman, 102, Apprehended in Branson Indecent Exposure Case Branson police have arrested the infamous "Highway 65 Flasher," a 102-year-old woman accused of repeatedly exposing herself to passing drivers. Officers apprehended the woman Wednesday afternoon on highway 65 after weeks of bizarre reports and near-misses. Despite her age, police say she evaded capture multiple times using her walker and disappearing into nearby woods. "She's surprisingly quick for 102," said Officer Brad Connelly. "We didn't see this one coming." The woman was taken into custody without incident. Charges are pending, though officials say they may consider leniency due to her age.
  12. No kidding, but I am not getting rid of my P365X.
  13. At least Tannehill has been paid well in the NFL.
  14. Aggie engineering grad putting his degree to maximum effectiveness.

  16. Yeah, one idjit did that here this morning…the white SUV way down to the left. The crew made him turn around and go back out to the right. The garbage & recycle trucks made their pickup runs on our street before the road crew started work at 8am.
  17. This road crew did a much neater job than the first one 15 years ago. The big street sweeper/vacuum machine will tidy up tomorrow.
  18. That is a real reason to get ragey. That “dad” needs to be locked in a non running car with the windows sealed shut all afternoon in Phoenix. And have an audience outside sitting in mister-cooled shade watching him bake to death while they drink frozen margaritas.
  19. Watching the road crew chip seal our street with hot oil and fine gravel. This is the second time for this process since we built our house 30 years ago. The street was first built about 40 years ago on ranch pastureland. Guess we won’t drive anywhere for a day or two. Kinda entertaining.
  20. Aggy would still run out of time.
