  5. Yeah, one idjit did that here this morning…the white SUV way down to the left. The crew made him turn around and go back out to the right. The garbage & recycle trucks made their pickup runs on our street before the road crew started work at 8am.
  6. This road crew did a much neater job than the first one 15 years ago. The big street sweeper/vacuum machine will tidy up tomorrow.
  7. That is a real reason to get ragey. That “dad” needs to be locked in a non running car with the windows sealed shut all afternoon in Phoenix. And have an audience outside sitting in mister-cooled shade watching him bake to death while they drink frozen margaritas.
  8. Watching the road crew chip seal our street with hot oil and fine gravel. This is the second time for this process since we built our house 30 years ago. The street was first built about 40 years ago on ranch pastureland. Guess we won’t drive anywhere for a day or two. Kinda entertaining.
  9. Aggy would still run out of time.
  10. They probably couldn’t fit in the handbasket.
  11. She had nothing to do with hospitals - mental or otherwise. She headed programs that issued state licenses for several healthcare professions (X-ray techs, medical physicists, dieticians, etc.). She also administered qualification examinations for healthcare professionals around the state. No fancy lunches or parties for people at her level. We met at mutual friends wedding as best man & maid of honor in 1966.
  12. When Mrs. Brat - a mid level program manager for the Texas Dept. of Health - had to travel on business, their in-house travel agent made the coach class flight reservations and booked cheaper hotels. They had a basic per diem allowance, but if they exceeded the limits they had to pay out of pocket. She ate a lot of burgers.
  13. It don’t make a shit to to those corrupt scumbags.

Getting old physically does indeed suck. Today Mrs. Brat & I both had results from last week’s scans/biopsies: She has a splenic artery aneurysm (1.7cm), and one of the spots on my noggin is a basal cell carcinoma. Ah well, it’s fairly common stuff that’s easily treatable, but still annoying to have to go to a new set of doctors and get whittled on. PITA
