When I was at UVA there used to be a song about girls from Radford and Randy-Mac. Many a road trip was taken there as well as Sweetbriar.
Pretty sure Fawn Leibowitz went there.
How was it?
Alamo up here in Dallas offered free tickets in return for buying $5 in food/drink credits for testing a new ordering system. We're going tonight.
I've done the Vonlane from Dallas to Austin. Pretty nice way to go, actually (as long as you're not looking at how scary the traffic on 35 is). WiFi, drinks, leather seats with tons of legroom, etc. By the time you factor in getting through parking, security, etc. it's not that much different time wise and you get dropped off at the Hyatt downtown.
Echoing TwiceHorn, chasing a start-up to recover damages is definitely a crapshoot. However, if this guy was really successful at stealing your business and is himself succeeding, there's at least a chance you can recoup some of your losses (or at least staunch the ongoing harm via a TRO/injunction against him and the start-up).
Good luck. If you're in NTX send me a PM. I work with another former co-worker and law school classmate of GoLL and this is right in his wheelhouse.
I've got a small case I'm handling pro bono and am trying to obtain a default judgment against two individuals. I have their names, addresses, and DOBs but only 1 incomplete SSN (first 5 digits) and no SSN for the other.
To do a proper SCRA search I need SSN because their names are somewhat common. Anyone know of a reliable and inexpensive means to get those SSNs?
Yellowstone was awful. Just awful. Lioness was okay (main story line is relatively engaging); but the family scenes are absolutely cringeworthy. Completely unnecessary and just terribly written.
The performative stupidity of this is just mind bottling. Glad to see that our AG's office is devoting its efforts to such important things.
I wonder how the other more traditional AG functions are doing. Aren't they the chief enforcer of child support obligations and similar type of things? Has enforcement of those things suffered from sideye's glamour suits?
Democrats need to make it clear that there's nothing stopping the Republicans from opening the government with the bill they want to force the Dems to accept. They can remove the filibuster rule now and reopen government without a single Democratic vote. That they haven't been shouting this from the rooftops is dumbfounding to me.
Republicans could also accept what the Democrats have presented and reopen the government, but that would require several senators to flip votes as well as a dozen or so House members.
Also this guy's like M. Night; he has to appear in everything and always as some kind of badass. I mean, I really liked Sicario, Wind River, and Hell or High Water. Everything else has been pretty meh to me TBH.
