  1. Yellowstone is ass. Change my mind.
  2. Coincidentally, I was in SF this weekend playing golf at Cal Club on Sunday, and at the turn I grabbed a transfusion at the bar. On the 10th tee the caddie asked me what I was drinking. When I told him he said, “oh, a tranny”? Since I had to spend the next two hours with him I replied, “that’s not very politically correct.” If he had said that on here I would have ripped him a new hole. /csb
  3. I like beans in chili. (Actually I don’t care one way or the other).
  4. This turned out to be…not good. Lots of filler and a stupid ending.
  5. Slorch’d! (jk) sorry you didn’t care for it. I’m intrigued and looking forward to next week. Also, this is season 4….
  6. Complimentary? Desert?

This was kind of my take on it. Pretty good. It's not Lucia, but represented a much better value than, say, Carbone (which is ridiculous and absolutely not worth the $). I'd go back, and enjoyed the meal, but wasn't overwhelmed.
  8. My BMW i3 definitely does not have as much range this week as usual. But it holds its charge just fine.
  9. Anyone have any good rec's for the South SF area? Heading out to Cal Club for a weekend golf trip on Saturday and need a place for dinner Sunday night. No food service on site Sunday and don't want to go all the way into the city if at all possible.
  10. And make it all about you.
  11. It is most definitely a nod to season 1. There are tons of easter eggs in the episode. I read an article yesterday pointing out many of them, such as the fake quote at the opening screen of the episode, the kid named "Darwin", and several others I can't recall. ETA I think one of these is the article: https://screenrant.com/true-detective-night-country-season-1-connections-references/ https://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/true-detective-season-4-night-country-easter-eggs
  12. Is that Hillary Swank?
  13. Agreed. I think you could argue it, but I'd still probably disagree. Kansas UNC Kentucky Duke Florida UCLA UConn Michigan State I think all of the above would or could be considered "better" jobs at least based on prestige. Hell, I might even argue Louisville, Syracuse, or Villanova rank higher in that regard. Does Texas rank with UF and UCLA? Probably, but in terms of prestige I'd have to give the nod to both of those schools over UT BB based on skins on the wall, even though UCLA's were 50 years ago. Money, quality of life, facilities, NIL resources? Sure, Texas has an embarrassment of riches in that regard, but I don't think anyone talking "top 5" jobs is really talking about that. (It's the prestige that gets you that moniker).
