  1. Lol Arse. Would have preferred the 100 million be spent elsewhere, but still, this is hilariously like Willian all over again.
  2. If you asked me at the start of the season where Chelsea was strongest, I would have said in attacking mid/wings. And that was reinforced during the World Cup with how Ziyech and Pulisic performed. But that seems to be all Boehly and company care about addressing. We now will have Pulisic, Ziyech, Sterling, Mount, Felix, Murdyk. You could arguably even add Havertz and Nkunku to the list, as they are more in the mold of a second striker/false 9. Yes I get that some are injured right now. Meanwhile our midfield and defense continues to be woeful under Potter, with no spatter apparent reinforcements on the horizon...
  3. The Correa saga this off-season has just been weird. I don't recall him ever missing time in the majors because of the ankle. If anything, this whole situation likely demonstrates the hidden power that INSURANCE COMPANIES have over athlete contracts...I'm betting the major insurance carriers refused to insure Correa's 10+ year deals with SF and NYM because they thought the ankle will deteriorate in the future...I have serious doubts this was caused just by some team doctors raising alarms to ownership during a physical.

    USMNT 2023

Of course Surly has a man on the inside, awesome.
  5. I'm around Rice, Med Center, and West U.
  6. So how'd you find the unicorn doc? I hear I might not even have to pay extra!
  7. Enzo has the potential to be the best Chelsea midfielder since Lampard. He'd be worth every penny.
  8. Looking for a rec for a go-to doctor in Houston. Could be a GP or a specialist who could serve in that kind of role. First order of business will be getting a physical, as I just turned 40 and it feels like it's time.
  9. Took Haaland less than 10 minutes to score against Liverpool lol.
  10. Plenty of options to keep warm in that household lol
  11. Still got the RV/camper?
  12. It's not crystal clear, and it could be fake. But damn if it doesn't look like a freaking volleyball pass to Mbappe here:
  13. This was hilarious.
  14. Yeah but that wasn't 1 on 1 with no defender on the shooter. Messi's extra time goal should have been the winner, but for some reason the officials missed a blatant handball on France right before the France penalty. It looked like freaking volleyball.
  15. I bet tiny countries like Croatia that don't have a history of being a soccer power actually do care. And this guy definitely cares more than enough:
  16. I keep thinking back to Dibu's save in the 124th minute. When you consider the stakes, is that the greater save from open play in soccer history?
  17. Really wanted Chelsea to wrap up Gvardiol at the same time in a double buy. Now his price has skyrocketed and it'll be a knock down drag out to get his signature...
  18. Perry is good people, and a UT law classmate of mine. It says something to me that he took the case. Let's see how plays out, but agreed that it's hard to see Brard continuing if he's not exonerated.
  19. JD Martinez must be looking at these deals and wanting to punch someone...
  20. How do the Pads fit Machado, Tatis Jr., and Xander into the infield?
  21. On Surly? Surely they're not THAT ashamed...
  22. Pittsburgh's top prospect is a catcher. In fact, two of their top ten prospects are backstops. I doubt they would be interested in a catching prospect being a major part of any return on Reynolds.

    USMNT 2023

APMP's 2026 Plan: 1. The goal for the USMNT in the 2026 World Cup, in front of what will be loud and rabid home crowds that pack NFL stadia, should be a run to the semi finals. If you don't think Berhalter can get us there (and I don't), then go moneywhip someone who can. Preferably someone with international managerial skins on the wall. 2. Keep this group of kids together and in competitive international matches as much as possible. Gold Cup, Copa America, whatever we host in 2025 in place of the Confederations Cup/Arab Cup, etc. 3. MLS continues to improve as a league, but it's not anywhere close to the quality of the major European leagues, and that's not gonna change by 2026. When we kick off in 2026, our squad needs to be as devoid as possible of the "MLS Specials" Berhalter seemed to love so much.
  24. Gotta be the most arrogant, imperialistic chant of all time. So, par for the course for England.
