    USMNT 2023

This feels like a monumental fail. For me it's a simple as this---I'm convinced our 2026 ceiling with Berhalter is nowhere near as high as our 2026 ceiling with a coach with more international experience and success, and I believe such a coach was available to us. We will be more talented in 2026 than South Korea was in 2002 when Guus the Legendary Mercenary took them all the way to the semi-finals. But with Berhalter it wouldn't be a complete surprise if we crash out in the group stage or round of 16.

Only change from the warmup game is Miles in for Zimmerman. Let's go boys. I'm thinking dos a cero, with goals from Pulisic and Balogun.

We near Rice Village but the closest location was Meyerland. Hopefully this new one in West U is good

    I kinda like that lineup.
  5. Draft capital doesn't win games. I'm glad the front office decided to push in their chips and trust their scouting, which put a franchise grade on Stroud and a generational grade on Anderson Jr. If those grades end up accurate, I'm not gonna miss next year's first rounder when we still have Cleveland's.
  6. Haha yup, hilariously one sided. Expect the BCCI to throw its weight around and try to get the next WTC final played on the subcontinent so it's more spin friendly.
  7. I'm still annoyed at the utter stupidity of Rohit and Pujara's shots getting out. But if India can have 6 wickets in hand an hour after lunch, shit might get mighty interesting. Of course Starc could also blow everyone the fuck away in the morning.
  8. Hate to see Kante go on a free...glad he's getting PAID though.
  9. So many bad decisions. Ashwin should be in this squad over Umesh, I don't care what the wicket looks like. Pujara and Rahane also don't belong...SKY and anyone else please. And while I like Bharath's glovework, I think Kishan was the pick.
  10. Richmond didn't exactly look like the most wealthy part of London. Wonder how the fans scrounged up $1 billion...though I suppose ownership in a champions league team is pretty decent as far financing collateral goes.
  11. If they don't finish high enough next year to qualify for the Champions League, the financial hit could cause another mass sell off.
  12. Gilly needs to lead my GT to a title tomorrow. Then we coming for the Aussies. We may not have Bumrah but we coming anyway. The squads: Australia: Pat Cummins (captain), Scott Boland, Alex Carey, Cameron Green, Marcus Harris, Josh Hazlewood, Travis Head, Usman Khawaja, Marnus Labuschagne, Nathan Lyon, Josh Inglis, Todd Murphy, Steve Smith, Mitchell Starc, David Warner. Reserves: Mitch Marsh, Matt Renshaw India: Rohit Sharma (captain), Ravichandran Ashwin, KS Bharat, Shubman Gill, Ravindra Jadeja, Virat Kohli, Ishan Kishan, Cheteshwar Pujara, Axar Patel, Ajinkya Rahane, Mohammad Shami, Mohammad Siraj, Shardul Thakur, Jaydev Unadakt, Umesh Yadav. Reserves: Yashasvi Jaiswal, Mukesh Kumar, Suryakumar Yadav

    Thank you for your sacrifice
  14. This should be a hell of a fight
  15. Ted about to become the USMNT coach after leading Richmond to a champions league spot.
  16. I think this thing is gonna end with none of the three main siblings winning. This show has consultants, and unless the stock has really rocketed, under Delaware law I don't see how the board can say no to the per share premium in Mattson's offer. Even if the Board knew a lot of employees would be fired and it would decimate communities, it is supposed to be guided solely by what's in the best interest of the shareholders, disregarding effects on the employees/stakeholders. I could see Mattson winning and leaving all of the siblings hanging as to who he'll pick to "run" US operations. Or maybe he just strips Waystar for parts. Or hell, maybe he'll just name Connor his US guy in a total curveball.
  17. Second time this season I forgot to move Ohtani from UTIL to P. Damn it.
  18. Even during the worst season in decades, we gonna find a way to remind Spuds that they are Spuds.
  19. Nah my guys are taking a week off.
  20. As a Chelsea fan, it'll always be a lingering "what if" for me... what if Lampard was successful in his pursuit of Haaland in 2019. Kid is breaking records while we are, umm, going to have a big say in the relegation run in.
  21. Sure, that makes sense. I believe the Texans draft board had Will Anderson at the top, and he was followed by Young/Stroud in some order, with not much of a gap between the two QBs. So, I look at the trade capital to move up to #3 as basically the cost we were willing to pay to move up from 12 and draft a franchise QB, with the order in which Stroud/Anderson being drafted intended to avoid competing with others (including division rival Tennessee) for Stroud via Arizona's pick. If Stroud is indeed a franchise QB, I'm good with the cost being a LT and, say, a WR1 (Marvin Jr. ). Lot of football to be played before we can assess, though.
  22. Plenty of posts from me and other longtime posters demanding Stroud as the guy at #2. And plenty of posts from other longtime posters labeling him a bust before the draft. Gonna be fun when receipts are shown.
  23. It would be neat to get cameos from more current Premier League players on this show.
