  1. Quite the group of early enrollees.. Gotdamn.
  2. "And the show goes on..."
  3. You don't think it had more to do with a lot of senior contributors on the roster last year, and Herman's insistence on sticking to upperclassmen (*coughHager*)? We may well have real needs for younger players to step up at LB, DT, CB and RB in the first part of next season.
  4. Point taken on Owens. I also didn't list Tyler Johnson as Day One. I think Floyd will bring a mentality that you can't teach from the moment he steps on campus. I'd agree with Fud that Whittington may be the safest bet for the beginning of next season as an EE.
  5. It’s clear to our fans, regardless of rankings, Texas is getting Day One game changers in Smith, Whittington, Brown, Floyd, and Owens. You add in Washington, TJohnson, Roshon, KWatson, and developmental guys like Warren, Sweat, Hookfin, and Mpagi, and this is starting to look like a competitive playoff roster. Pretty incredible what Herman has achieved in two years, and what CDC has done in one. 🤘🏻
  6. I think people complaining about the *free* information dug up by other posters spending time to do so is, frankly, doltish as fuck, esp when considering how much drivel on this board is just smart asses needlessly pumping their own inflated egos. Thanks @Machinator, @Fud, @satyanash, @texifornia, @NoName, and others for taking the time to bring actual recruiting info to the board, however skewed that information reveals itself to be.
  7. As amazing as Collin and LJH have been for us, it's going to be fun watching much more WR team speed get incorporated into the offense next year. We can't just rely on jump balls down the sidelines on crucial 3rd downs. As Ehlinger takes another step forward, watch for far more slant and crossing routes over the middle.
  8. I dunno, but Sam should starts next year.
  9. Let's keep recruiting Cali and Arizona hard in 2020, shall we?
  10. Dak and the 'Boys play better as underdogs, so I bet he has a good to great game passing. I see them beating LA and losing in the Superdome in a revenge game for the Saints.
  11. Tre Watson. I like who we have filling in for Omenihu, Gary Johnson, and Nelson next year. Ossai looks like a beast off the edge.
  12. We may well be the best contributor on this site this side of @Machinator. Thanks for being here.
  13. It's downright incredible how many different reasons this board devises to explain if Bru is swayed by x then "he's just looking for any excuse to pick USC." That's exactly what has happened (past tense), so we can stop with the hypotheticals. He's going to USC.
  14. Merry Christmas, assholes.
  15. Whittington may well be great, but there may not be another Ramonce Taylor. His acceleration off the edge was unreal, and he should have had a career like Jeff Demps or Ted Ginn, Jr.
  16. Thanks for gracing us with that insight on NSD1.
  17. @Machinator, thanks for providing much needed perspective to a board that’s perpetually closetojumping.
  18. Quite skrong female LPs this year: Kacey Musgraves - Golden Hour - an almost-perfect singer-songwriter album; gorgeously arranged, with a lyricism that catches you off-guard with a casual profundity; best of 2018 imo Janelle Monae - Dirty Computer - she's about as sure a bet of anyone on the pop fringes; every type of influence wielded at once deliberately and effortlessly cool Neko Case - Hell-On - similar to Janelle's genre-defying music, just with an alt-country tinge; wonderfully personal lyrics Robyn - Honey - doesn't have the immediately danceable bangers of Body Rock, but grooves just as hard on multiple listens Pusha-T - Daytona - maybe the most reliably earnest rapper today, with such diversity in his cadence; unlike most mumble-rap, you can cleanly glean ever word, with the most interesting sonic production Push has ever had on a record; THE leanest rap record I've ever heard at just 21 minutes Brandi Carlisle - By the Way, I Forgive You - she's really upgraded to a wall-of-sound arrangement; just a kick-ass record Spiritualized - And Nothing Hurt - like the waning moments floating through space on your way to the Great Beyond Father John Misty - God's Favorite Customer - although the first half of 'Pure Comedy' was perfect; the second half lagged, as good as it was; this record feels fully realized and more accessible; Tillman can just crooooon, man U.S. Girls - In A Poem Unlimited - genre-shifting dance pop of the highest order; maybe this is the music ABBA would be making today? Travis Scott - Astroworld - a pretty impressive amalgam of our current pop culture moment HM's to Jeff Tweedy's solo effort, Mitski, DJ Koze, Arctic Monkeys, Lucero
