  1. Good news: the current regime is doing a helluva job minimizing our future “what might have been” threads.
  2. Foster and Sterns are balling, but add in Overshown and Adeoye and we are going to have a really physical presence at LB/DB. It's gon be fun.
  3. Beck has been a great asset, but I wouldn't be surprised if both Leitao and Brewer exploit the TE passing game even more the next couple of seasons. We actually have two prospects who could also compete in the next year or two to really give the TE room real talent not seen in over a decade.
  4. I get it, I really do. The Big XII is shifting under your feet, and it's a scary time as a Poke. You guys had a great run getting to play in what I'm certain were very cool bowl games.
  5. I'll take "Correlation Does Not Imply Causation" for $400, Alex..
  6. 10 wins and a great bowl game matchup and we should be thrilled as a fanbase. 'Bama withstanding, everyone is jumping to conclusions far too early with playoff predictions. Undefeated teams lose late in Oct/Nov every year. There's still a shakeup weekend at some point this season.
  7. One of those absolutely sneaky-important plays last Saturday was Beck's great snag over the middle on a third-and-long to set up the fourth and short conversion. It was early in the game and helped Texas take momentum. All hands, too, and had the skill to keep a hand under the ball going to the ground. He's really made strides since Tulsa, especially on the blocking front.
  8. I'm an idiot; of course it's the other team's time of possession. Do you think our more balanced offense has aided in lack of injuries this year? *knocks on wood*
  9. Is there an advanced metric tracking how long a team's defense has been on the field to this point of the season? Maybe @Huckleberry, you would know? I feel like our offense with its sustained drives this year has greatly improved on keeping the defense from tiring. It was mentioned in the OU game about how much their defense had been on the field the prior three games.
  10. Can you of you important people give the recruiting skinny on Warren, por favor?
  11. Devin Duvernay plays a lot like Quan, just a touch slower in his routes. Should have multiple touchdowns if not for overthrows, including last year in Dallas. *ducks*
  12. Sermon is a beast, so open field tackling is going to be crucial. I think the game comes down to how well our DBs can cover down the field and if our edge rushers can contain Murray in the pocket. And like every RRS, whoever wins the turnover battle wins the war.
  13. Like all RRS, lesser-knowns will alter the outcome. For my money, Duverney has a huge game and TD on a double move (and Sam makes the throw this year). And I think Brandon Jones creates a Murray TO in the backfield on a blitz.
  14. DKR needs to develop a collective howl for after every great Sterns play.
  15. If you liked the first season of Legion, this will be right in your wheelhouse. It's surreal and defies easy definition. Really enjoying it.
  16. And here's what should excite you for the future: the '19 DB class will have plenty of room for redshirting and development behind that ridiculous '18 haul that is already up to speed and changing games. And we haven't even really seen what Green or Overshown can do.
  17. You'll forget by the time it happens later in the season, but LJH gonna throw a huge pass out of the Wildcat at some point.
