A Sark special. Keep in mind after LOSSES the past FIVE years he almost always has said that we shoulda run more. I can count at least what ten times off the top of my head heâs said that after a loss. i mean I wish he knew who was in charge of calling plays and utilizing RBs? Maybe someone could put in a good word for Sark so we could run more? Maybe even employ some FB action and so on.

âSark, another Saban acolyte, has a tendency to turtle up in the biggest moments. And it could make for an uncomfortable offseason for Sark and the rest of his staff if Texas doesn't make the College Football Playoff this season. No matter what anyone tells you, that dream isn't completely dead for Texas if it can win out, particularly over No. 3 Texas A&M, but there's no question the path just got more treacherous. If Texas ultimately does miss the playoff, it'll represent one of the greatest disappointments of any college football program this season given the significant financial investment in this roster. And it starts leading to questions wondering if perhaps Sarkisian's window to win it all is narrowing after back-to-back semifinal losses the last two seasons. Whether it's the red zone issues, the dropped passes, the inability to put together a cohesive and competent offensive line to protect Arch Manning, there are plenty reasons to be frustrated with a Texas team that is less than the sum of its parts.â https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/georgia-surprise-onside-kick-texas-kirby-smart-steve-sarkisian-gap-coaches/ Several in the sports media have written many pieces the last 18 or so hours. All the same. You can pick apart individual writers and slam them if you want but you are fighting a losing battle. Most anyone with a fucking brain thinks similarly even it itâs just a tiny portion of the above excerpts I quoted from the article. So again this is where the sports News Media is at this current point. Be it local. Be it national. Be it a blogger or a true sports reporter behind a big brand or a op Ed writer they are all basically saying the same thing. i guess We will have to see what happens in the offseason. But people no longer think Arch is the problem man. They see it as a Sark thing. Regardless of how Sark or his defenders choose to see it
-
I have to vehemently disagree with you here. I watched him yelling at his teammates trying to fire them up. No one really stepped up and sark was squatting in his playbook. Too busy to see the train roll of the rails in the 4th too busy being OC. Arch plays what he is called to play behind a shit Oline and few people willing to make a play or able to execute one. He dint cause 21 yds of Running offense. Sark thought we ran well. No fucking way.

In so far as Indiana football since itâs inception what 1913? I think. They have had two ten win seasons. Both Cigs. They should name everything football related after that man. If they kick as and wind up in the MNC no one will convince me Sark is a better coach. If Indiana gets into the MNCâŠheâs beyond HC of the Year honors. Anyone who thinks itâs a 5 year deal that can only be built slowly is just swinging from Sarkâs balls trying to prop him up. It doesnât take five years if a HC is focused on being a HC without any other distractions. And Sark has them in spades. As OC. He cannot do both and he will die on that hill with a handful of you yelling at clouds. â ïž

Exactly. Unless itâs a post mortem explaining why we canned a coach. Or a coach leaves. Most people want sunshine pumping or some just want cryptic emojis đŠ đ đ đ© with people claiming to know more. And merely hint at what the âmoreâ is. And if the objectivity or truth telling is bad about a HC or coaches or practices or program or approach we shoot the messenger for outing our dirty laundry. No one really wants the truth in the middle of stuff. They want to cling to their truth based on their bias. And when it comes out they bitch that no one told them the truth when it was all happening after the post mortem is written. Jeez.

I no longer care what we did last year. It is not the same team. Itâs not even the same sark as last year. All bets are off as to our last two games. Praying we crush Arky and Aggie but if we donât itâs on Sark. At least there are no more bye weeks for us to suck coming out of anymore. Hookâem! đ€đŒ now with the pressure off we can win our last two regular season games and Sark can politic all he wants about how we belong in the playoffs but we just proved last night we do not.
-
Gosh. Hope he will be ok. Damn. Terrible news.
-
I kinda did. Which is why I was blissfully high the bulk of the game. I expected more out of Sark than I should have and itâs on me. He can either be a detail oriented HC with his fingers in multiple pies and not be an OC or he can strictly be an OC. And Iâve not seen him be a HC where he ainât the OC. And in my heart I know he wonât give that up. That leaves us in a predicament. If he doesnât make major adjustments the offseason. I knew he couldnât do both but I allowed the lure of his talent to deceive me this year. He has had zero answer for much of anything since Baxter went down against Ohio State and it shows imo.
-
He cannot do both OC and HC. Playcalling was fine. But he drops the ball on being HC because he is buried in the playbook. He drops the ball on QB development in game bc he has to also coach the team and call plays. Everyone knows you cannot do both. Sark isnât talented enough to do both. He never will be. How much evidence from other HCs trying the same thing and getting forced to eventually hire an OC and eventually getting fired do we need? You cannot do both things, I will die on this hill. It was my primary concern about him when he was hired. He cannot do both. And itâs obvious to everyone who wants to admit it but him.

Iâm less pissed about losing to Georgia than most. Itâs the way we lost. The way we have looked all season. Sarkâs crackhead fucked up approach to the entire season set us up to look like a middling Big 12 team next to Georgia last night. What was he doing the entire offseason? What is he doing in games? Why didnât he address these oline issues? Why did we drop the spring game? Why did we go to NfL Prostyle practices with no contact and light contact that HAVE BEEN PROVEN NOT TO WORK EVERYWHERE IN COLLEGE THEY HAVE BEEN USED???? Why did he half ass CEO his approach to the offseason? Why? Itâs year five. If something doesnât light a fire under his ass for the way he approached this entire season he should find himself not wearing burnt orange. his other concerns are likely the bloodletting thatâs gonna happen to the team and his staff. the NFL prostyle PRACTICES he employed donât work in college, it was a stupid mofo idea. You practice like the teams you want to beat that are better than you are, they ainât doing what we did in the offseason, the turd we left in the punch bowl last night is on him. People can do more with less talent. He can only do it if heâs running as OC of Bama with a stacked roster. Heâs been a head coach at two other places and been around winning big time programs. He completely phoned it in this year and it shows. The entire season outside a few quarters in games is unwatchable and the fucking Buck stops with Sark. Period. we did not run the ball well last night. My uncle who is still relearning to walk after his stroke clocked more yards with his walker pacing in his living room watching his red raiders triumph yesterday. Jesus.

Heâs a star. Watching him dismantle Kirby Smart in the playoffs, I notated Kirby picked up some tricks from Freemanâs playbook as well. It was a rough game with the terror attack and postponement and Kirbyâs dad being in the hospital and dying after the game. Nonetheless, Georgia has legit 5 stars and all that. Had em all last year. The talent deficiency was huge compared to NDâs one 5 star or something. They talked up the talent on both sides bigly before the game. On paper Smart should have crushed ND. Freeman outcoached the shit out of smart. Just saying.
-
-
Jesus. Itâs hard to argue with cold hard stats. What are Sark and the staff looking at after each game? Surely they knew this wasnât sustainable? That we would eventually crater. Which we did in spectacular fashion in the 4th last night. Even though 90% of our season has been unwatchable even by die hard fans clinging to hope. Fuck.
-
Thatâs kinda been my ritual. All kidding aside I thank god for surly even if I get on everyoneâs nerves. At least we can talk football. My mom is like âstrip the ball! QB sneak! Damnit!â And thatâs too much even for me. I will watch all the games. Iâm just tired of missing College Football Final on purpose lol. I hide out after losses.
-
And to think my rage was contained largely to whether or not Disney would make a deal with YT so I wouldnât miss out on critical games. I bleed orange but I need to shelve my expectations in order to be a die hard fan. Itâs painful. We were foolâs gold. Thatâs the lure of Sark and his talent. I fully expected a close win last night since we appeared to be on a roll and we had a bye week to get ready. The end result was we donât belong with the teams vying for a spot. We got asswhipped. Go Indiana I guess. Itâs hard not to root for Cig. Especially since he re-upped with Indiana and took himself out of contention from the coaching carousel and Penn State. They proved they can finish last week. Like to see what they can do. Iâd like to think we use the next few weeks and bowl appearance to get in much needed practice and evaluation and growth but I donât know what the fuck we are actually doing in practice.
-
I like Marcus Freeman a lot but sick of ND. Half my family went to Tech so if they roll I will be happy for my family, particularly my uncle who had a stroke a few years back and is in poor health. I will hope for Indiana to fuck shit up I guess. What Cig has done there the past two years is nothing short of remarkable. Prior to his being HC there in Indianaâs entire history they never had a 10 win season, they now have two and thatâs damned impressive.

Holy shit you dipshits: 9-3 Texas is probably in the playoffs
Nicole44 replied to Wulaw Horn's topic in Football
It sucks, many of us who have been mad at sark all year had similar hopes. Or thoughts despite the fact that our games outside of a few quarters were unwatchable, I thought we turned a corner and Sark would best Kirby with a bye week to scheme and to build off the Vandy win. Was fucking wrong, that is the lure of sark. No one denies heâs talented. He is. Thats the lure. But the reality is mid-level team whose roster unlike in previous two years could out athlete our mediocrity into the playoffs. We fucking lost to Florida after a bye week. A Florida that is actually better without Napier. Do we beat the Florida who fought toe to toe with Ole Miss today? I donât think we do, -
It looks right. I spell pretty decent. Stoned or not. we ran the ball well man. Well. if thatâs well what is run poorly? What do most games with Wâs have in common? At least 100 yds running? Or similar. We have a fifth of that. If thatâs well I donât want to see what sark considers bad.

Holy shit you dipshits: 9-3 Texas is probably in the playoffs
Nicole44 replied to Wulaw Horn's topic in Football
And yet these same people possibly thought we make the playoffs easy? And then do what? Get beat by teams we couldnât beat in the regular season? I was still fooled by the Aark talent. Thought he could pull off a Bama type win on Georgia after a bye week to scheme knowing how we failed the last two times we played Kirby. And we are left with him saying post game âwe ran the ball well.â We donât belong in the playoffs. This was not a close game. We arenât getting a rematch. And we may not for a long while with Steverino. -
Maybe if Sark could solely focus on being OC and we just hired a co-HC to help with other phases of the ball things would work out? Thatâs all I can think. Because even if he stays some kinds of changes are going to have to be made to the staff and possibly approaches to other things. And thatâs usually a precursor to the end. UgghhhhâŠ
-
Sark said in the 4th quarter we sucked in all 3 phases and didnât play complimentary football, in his post game presser. He said we ran the ball well. Well? Is he referring to the Sugar Bowl with Sam? We arenât running the ball well at all. We didnât in OSU and we didnât against Georgia. We have struggled to establish the run all year. We had ten points. It was a bitch to get those ten. And it just fell apart like a cheap suit. Like always in our losses. Yet we were still in it despite an anemic running game, and when the wheels were falling off I saw not one spark of fire in Sark or yelling or pumping shit up. I saw this be for the wheels fell off in the 4th. Who is he kidding? You can coach speak in pressers without insulting our box score reading intelligence,
-
I mean if I get coaches speak and how they sunshine pump. But his saying we ran the ball well if he isnât sunshine pumping (which insults every person who can read a fucking box scoreâs intelligence) then he is insanely delusional and there is no fix? I get coach speak but if a QB threw only one pass the entire game and it was completed I would hope he wouldnât stand up there and say âwe passed the ball well.â Thats beyond coach speak thatâs a mental disorder đ

Thanks my laughter dissolved into a coughing fit. Pot hit me hard man. Lol. đ thatâs funny as fuck. And somehow should be our surly slogan up top.
