  1. It feels that way, I admit I wanted to see what their penalty free and few mistake style of play matches up against Miami, who clearly has dudes and talent and strength but is a hot mess penalty wise. And nearly gave the game to Ole Miss because of it,
  2. Most definitely age is a factor. Coaching is a factor. The talent they acquired is a factor. Their culture is a factor. But it’s rare to see a team get so few penalties. I don’t know if another coach can precisely do what Cig has done this fast (I think Dykes with TCU but then they fell apart the next year.) Defense for Indiana is brutal.
  3. I think @RGBIII and @immamac should call games. And around the third quarter bring in Greenspoint just to say it. These announcers are dumb.
  4. Both these teams need to RUN the ball right now.
  5. Penalties will crush them. I don’t know how they have gotten these Indiana players to be largely mistake free but they just lull teams in to making mistake after mistake. Nice Linked In page Mendoza
  6. Someone here is a long time Hoosier. As he described it they cannot compare it to anything football wise bc they have never been here. This team is so scary with their lack of mistakes. How the fuck do you create a culture like this with basically 64% transfers in two years? They look like Bama when Bama was dominant.
  7. They are like the definition of Ice Man in Top Gun. Nothing fancy no mistakes. And as Mendoza says they drag you into the deep end. You think you are beating them or in the game but they are just studying what you do and making adjustments and dragging you into their style of play before Cig finally slits your throat,
  8. Complimentary football. Nice to see the two of the best QBs in College Football battle it out.
  9. Sweet we are in for some fun and Indiana’s offense hasn’t even touched the ball yet. LFG!
  10. aBC/ESPN are 75% commercials 25% actual game.
  11. I like that Cig takes the time out. He’s sees his dudes are getting picked apart so he stops the game for a bit and gets the ship right. Indiana is sort of bend and break a little and come up with the stops as they need them but they aren’t infallible. But I like a coach takes a time out here when his team is on their heels. That’s smart. It’s not like the TOs roll over to the second half.
  12. He has stolen my joy with his arrogance. I see no need to sunshine pump him. I want him to succeed but I also want him to know that blowing somewhere above $25 million and closer to $40 on a team that didn’t make the playoffs in year five is unacceptable and that kind of money demands results that are to be expected of him. Period. No more excuses from the full of gas man. I don’t have the exact figure but dudes who know shit snd routinely post here and my BmD know the true number and it’s well above $25 and he should have done far better to plug the oline and get weapons than he did in 2025 and If he whiffs again I expect his seat to be so hot he has ball rash.
  13. This. No injuries (that require leaving the game) and a good hard fought penalty free as possible classic.
  14. Turf toe…that’s a factor. People think it’s nothing but I have seen the damn turf toe injuries they do not look like nothing. Indiana is as big as everyone they have played. How the fuck do they manage that with a JMU pipeline and the portal?
  15. Yeah. Speaking of… Have yall noticed that the winner of these playoffs so far has scored first and almost always a FG it’s weird.
  16. This feels epic but not in the same way the Big 10 Championship did. I just like Fox coverage better. As far as camera angles and such. I think the broadcast is better. That’s a shit ton of red in that stadium. It’s almost like David (Oregon) v Goliath (Indiana) and that’s weird as fuck to say and Oregon is a great team. Rooting for Indiana. I would be fine with Oregon winning but honestly seeing CIG make the fucking finals in year two is a damned good job. Seeing Lanning make it in four is a damned good job. Everyone seems to think Indiana is a lock but to me it’s going to come down to mistakes and the running game. Which team can be more physical in the trenches? Damn I wish we were playing! Covet. That’s a damned nice stadium as I was able to attend the Peach Bowl v Arizona State. Lots of fans they said from random teams were buying tickets I guess for FOMO. Go Hoosiers!
  17. What would she say “argh he stole my ship and made me walk the plank of love?” You people are some of the most 3/4 glass empty mofos on the planet. 😂 I’m not sure what phrasing I should have used. Maybe I’ve been watching too many Hallmark romances over the holidays. Damn. I will work on phrasing.
  18. Best case scenario is the best news I’ve heard since we all learned of his burn injuries. For some reason I felt if he’s able to make 🤘🏼 with a hand he’s going to be ok. I know there is a long road ahead of him but hearing that positive news that it was the best possible outcome based on what’s already occurred is encouraging and I will continue to pray for swift healing and for as few complications as he can possibly have. He’s one tough SOB. I hate he’s going thru this but if anyone can come out of this and have the best possible outcome that can be expected it’s Ship.
  19. The best way to deal with the current landscape is to build a factory with a culture that has an identity. No school is immune to this bullshit but some are having an easier time of it than others. We had Ewers and then we got Arch. Unfortunately Ewers slid in the draft so far he almost didn’t get drafted and everyone knows unless Arch was completely irredeemably awful he was going in the first round and now we know he’s definitely the dude. What is the identity? I am looking for that to come from Muschamp. I wouldn’t mind being DB University or some shit. We get it. Many many dudes are looking for the best paycheck right now. But of those dudes there are a LOT that want to be coached up at their position so that they can thrive in the NFL and make big bucks with a huge contract bc they actually do love playing football. We need to hire dudes to find those dudes and target them. I don’t know how this 2026 portal shit will play out. I don’t know if we pushed some guys out the door bc we need to work on our people skills or if we at least 1:1 replaced who we lost. We have to figure out what our culture and our fucking system is and find the dudes that fit exactly what we want to accomplish. We are going with a leaner roster than ever and pushing the NFL-lite type of stuff but at the end of the day there is no reason we cannot enjoy the success Indiana is in the toughest P4 conference. SEC looks like ass right now, beatable asswater. They will bounce back. And the system will eventually get under control. But all gas no brakes is not a culture nor an identity. It needs to be something else. We have to start turning out Badasses at a position group and we will attract the dudes who want that. I don’t know if the Jason Whitten stuff will work at OU but if it does with the WR’s they will start getting those dudes in battles with other schools who want to succeed at the next level. I am Uninspired by Flood. And I imagine recruits and transfer targets might be as well, Muschamp can get dudes and get them to the next level. We have to show we can do that and we won’t have to worry about the attrition to the extent we have it right now. Some of that is Harris and if Harris is doing shit like this in front of our players and potential transfer targets it explains some of the shit that’s happening specifically to our team even though it’s happening to everyone. These recruits who wNt to succeed at the next level want to be coached up and we have to show we can actually do that and find the ones who want to play! After all I’ve heard and read here and the recruit thread it seems like many are getting the below treatment from Harris and that cannot continue.
  20. I’ve been picking up some valuable insight the past 48 hours from surly. So either the ones leaving are being tricked by insidious agents and their avarice or it’s playing out with Harris and our coaching staff one of two ways in the minds of Surlies: It’s either our players doing this in meeting before an exodus Or Harris has an approach akin to this and our players leave thinking they aren’t welcome here anymore?
