  1. I’ve been rewatching the X-Files. That show was amazing. Not just for its time. I’m pretty sure that @Brisketexan Could find the Rainey ripper if this were 20 years ago. He seemed the type that if someone dropped him in the middle of the desert and told him the truth was out there he’d pick up a shovel and start looking. But now he’s old and wants to live in Finland probably trying to make money as a Ted Cruz impersonator. on a serious note…allegedly the lights they are going to put up around the lake are supposed to happen in August. Meanwhile how many bodies since March of last year when they said “hey we’re doing all we can. We’re gonna put up lights and safety measures.” To be honest, if there is a serial killer maybe having a task force might be a better option. a theory is running around that if the men are drugged that quite possibly they were drugged with Gabapentin. Which was found in Riley Strain’s body (assuming he had a prescription) but it does not mix well with alcohol. Just a thought. To add to the thoughts.
  2. @Dbeasyit's all psychological. You yell homicide, everybody says, "Huh? What?" You yell serial killer, and we've got a panic on our hands on the Fourth of July weekend man.
  3. This article is a hot mess. the body has blunt force trauma but they aren’t investigating it as a homicide even though they are investigating? The article is bizarre. But it’s good to know LE and city officials are taking all the drownings and deaths downtown seriously 🙄 https://www.kxan.com/news/local/austin/austin-police-investigate-dead-body-on-rainey-street/
  4. Choi is described as being 5'8" and about 130 lbs. with straight black hair. He was last seen wearing blue swim shorts with a bird print and a blue t-shirt. https://cbsaustin.com/news/local/apd-asking-for-help-in-locating-missing-40-year-old# he was wearing swim shorts so he came prepared to swim. 🏊
  5. https://www.kxan.com/news/local/austin/apd-seeking-the-publics-help-to-find-40-year-old-missing-man/ Police identified the missing man as Daniel Choi, and said he was last seen in the 600 block of Davis Street around 1:04 p.m. His friends found his cellphone on the ground at Caesar Chavez and South First Street around 5:45 p.m., APD said in a news release. Ya…he doesn’t in any way resemble the pattern of men with dark hair who go missing near there with a group of friends. it might be unrelated but if it is related I guess they should try looking in the lake
  6. At least Kirk Bohl’s retired today (30 minutes ago)…
  7. I enjoyed it! It was clever and fun and like a cross between Blood Simple and Body Heat. The ending was a little soft for me but I loved it. Adria might be a big star. I think Twisters will really solidify Glenn.
  8. This game sucks right now. I’m INT he middle of nowhere east Texas and barely have cell service. But I get to watch this! geez I hope they make some adjustments but not sure outside of getting it into the basket what they can do.
  9. So are yall saying that the WNBA is like aggy? Caitlin is good for the sport.
  10. Manny is still in there I think because he once made a good Mole. Get in your box, Manny and make a mole. That seems to be what I see the Judges do after having watched every season. oh you’re from Africa—make an African twist on everything you make. Oh you’re from Mexico…we need a Mexican twist. the truth is Dan and Danny have been at the top a bunch and like in Buda’s winning season (it’s really not even close to the other contestants) I want a season where they just start whacking people off (just kidding) but eliminating people right away after 4-5 weeks. Fuck it just keep the top four or five and put them through rigorous challenges until the end. my only true complaint is Last Chance Kitchen: just have one winner and have that one winner appear to join the final 6. I think enjoy last chance kitchen and I think Tom loves doing it. Just have one re-entry. One. That’s it. At the end.
  11. I really want Dan to win. I think he will have a ridiculous meal. Some of the stuff he makes is next level and I loved his reaction to the fish boil. He was like fuck no. Awesomeness. Or his reaction to Manny with the porridge. why is Manny still there? I mean why? I get that the ones not in the final three are all cannon fodder as far as the show but how many times is he on the chopping block with shit food.
  12. Agreed on Manny should have been gone a long time ago. Confidence and flavors really count. Amanda needed to go when she did I was thinking she was going to do a tataki everything. I do think people panic and forget why they were chosen. I think Dan will put on an amazing final meal. I just have that feeling. the rest of the cheftestants left have a shot but I lean the most towards Dan, Danny and Laura as final 3. Like lean into what you are good at. I guess. I am enjoying this season. I feel like I learn a lot from it as far as ideas on things to make and do. Jmo.
  13. I hate seeing these. And I do try to help whenever I can but this little girl is a perfect dog. If y’all know anyone in California that can adopt her before she is euthanized tomorrow I’d be grateful. Or at least I know I did my best to try.
  14. RIP Big Red. Bill Walton was awesome.
  15. Genuinely sad. RIP. This will end up being a political football no matter how his loved ones will feel about it. https://ktla.com/news/local-news/johnny-wactor-of-general-hospital-shot-and-killed-in-downtown-los-angeles-report/amp/
  16. This ⬆️ bless his family and so very tragic. Addiction, depression, mental illness, suicide. For the lovely moment of silence as well. Tomorrow is promised to none of us but it breaks my heart that there are so many Grayson Murray’s hurting out there. My prayers and thoughts are with his loved ones. Heartbreaking man. I’m not trying to be cheesy or inappropriate by attaching the number but I know this whole tragedy can be such a trigger for so many. the moment of silence was awesome and yet it’s dusty in here I guess. ❤️❤️💕💕
  17. I love this one and the sort of cinematic music…
  18. He is playing really well today. Shame about yesterday.
  19. Oh and I also love The Man with One Red Shoe. That movie is on right now. It’s fucking hilarious.
  20. Scottie being difficult to beat may be boring for some people but I think it’s actually drawing in more viewers. Either you want to see him crush the competition like I do or people want to see him get beat. You have to have a consistently amazing number one. And he’s that. I’m sad about Jordan but maybe he should hire some of the people Scottie has around him. He’s ruined a lot of what made him unique. Sad.
  21. I loved him. We have a lot of stars the exact same age. Cloak & Dagger was one of my favorite movies as a child. I thought this was cool about him. He was a Longhorn! Hook'em Dabney and RIP. And he was Austin born. Not a transplant. Badass. "Coleman was born in Austin, Texas on January 3, 1932. He attended Virginia Military Institute, and the University of Texas at Austin. He was drafted in the United States Army in 1953 and served in Europe."
