  1. The Storage Wars episode would have been classic: reminder to myself to pick up more food storage containers.
  2. There are really no words for how horrific this crime is. None. Glad the monsters responsible are now behind bars. Heartbreaking. Sickening. No appropriate words.
  3. Rain or snow. I’d prefer rain but would take either.
  4. Well I went to the O’Reilly Auto Parts website and in the search engine on their site I typed in: 121g you will thank me later, maybe? When it is back in stock I am getting the fuck out of here. Seems pretty simple from the instructions they left. O’Reilly Auto Parts is aware of the enshittening. They want to help.
  5. Lots of twitchy housewives today. Lol. So glad I abandoned FB a few years ago. Funny seeing people hop on “X” to check what is down and why their shit ain’t working. Nonetheless, the obligatory
  6. I hope we don’t see any more deaths from the wildfires in the Panhandle but I know that’s wishful thinking…
  7. Damnit.
  8. This reminds me of Austin some days. (Make sure to watch with sound for the full effect.)
  9. Cool cool cool…60 mph winds…
  10. I think 85% of the cattle in Texas are in the Panhandle. The loss of thousands of cattle due to the wildfires will be felt for years.
  11. I thought so too. I am absolutely not surprised that Amarillo hasn’t brought in HEB yet. There are three main families that have run it forever. One particular person is my BMD (the person who told me Herman was gone before it was reported and that in turn got us Sark.) they run everything. They like being the big fish in the small pond type deal. It’s hard to comprehend how much big business they have turned away over the last say 40 years but it’s a lot. HEB is a standup organization. Wish most were like this. If I were in highschool that’s where I’d get a job. They care about you. As an employee. That’s very rare.
  12. It would be nice if there were rain in the forecast for the next ten days…but just mainly sunny skies and wind. Fuck.
  13. Braums is exceptional. I miss having one. I love their little grocery store. You can go in there with $20 and come out with 5-6 things even with prices as crazy as they are now.
  14. This is fucking incredible. Sometimes I feel like there is more bad than good. The truth is, it is the other way around. 💜💜
  15. I know it was 30 years ago today, but I still miss John Candy. I guarantee he would have been in some great films in the last 30 years or in a great series making us laugh:
  16. Despite all the problems I have with the state of Texas, HEB is a bright shining star. I’ve been to grocery store chains in other states. HEB is the best. Other places wish they had HEB: They don’t even have HEBs in the Panhandle area as far as I know. I hope Braums also reaches out to help bc those affected are prime customer base…
  17. https://www.kxan.com/news/texas/thousands-of-cattle-have-died-in-the-texas-wildfires-devastating-ranchers/ Over 3,000 livestock (cattle) lost. Mainly up to $3,000 a head. That is a massive loss for ranchers already hurting financially. Damn…. And that’s just the livestock as far as losses. Many off those towns likely do not recover from this. Places like Fritch and Wheeler and so on. It’s just depressing.
  18. Well there are no sharks in it so it’s not as impressive: Some pretty incredible footage:
