  1. There isn’t a cry emoji but this is where I’d use it.
  2. I don’t know if y’all are the praying sort or do a rain dance or light candles or whatever you do but we need this forecast to happen tomorrow/overnight: They need this. Badly. It will help the firefighters contain this shit because the wind isn’t going to help out.

  4. Glad that little green fucker is still there…
  5. Hell on earth…damnit…this shit just breaks my heart. If you’ve been around the Panhandle at all most of the people in these towns are fairly poor good folks. Yes there are wealthy ranchers but mainly we are talking about just devastating losses these communities may not recover from. Fuck…
  6. I grew up watching all these channels…in Amarillo. They had a fire near 207 close to Claude near my family’s ranch but that fire was put out fairly quickly. anyway I grew up watching all these news stations like @Rimbo this is just heartbreaking no? These people affected are mostly farmers and ranchers.
  7. This is the definition of “all hands on deck.” I’m grateful for all those departments sending firefighters. Not enough thanks here. There is no hope of containing this shit without help from Mother Nature. Praying the snow chances will become a reality…soon.
  8. If only people would verify the information they seek out. I guess…I can’t fathom why people don’t check out two or three sources for news stories. I go local first, then AP and then the Guardian or Sky News and then check CNN, MSNBC and FOX. Thats if I’m interested in following a particular story. Then I go on X and check what the verified reporters say. I get it. Most people don’t have time or care to fact check and honestly it’s sad we have to even do that. But it drives me nuts people just hop on Facebook and see something and believe it’s true and pass it along as true. wtf
  9. It makes me question why so many cereals are O shaped. Or donuts? Why do they sell the holes too? Aren’t human beings simply a torpid? There is just a lot to unpack here.
  10. We need pretty much a wall of firefighters. No containment in sight unless Mother Nature helps us out.
  11. Are you waiting for the eclipse to fly your spacecraft back home?
  12. For anyone that is interested in tornadoes (not sure how to fucking phrase that.) if you follow storm chasers and such this book is a big deal:
  13. I am so depressed about this. It’s heartbreaking 💔 to see places just destroyed like that and people evacuating. I’m not ashamed of growing up in the Panhandle. For a long time I thought even about moving back. I’d rather live in New Mexico but it’s still heart wrenching nonetheless. Hoping for a reprieve from Mother Nature 🌬️
  14. When I was little my brother and I had an older babysitter who had lived through the dust bowl and the stories she would tell were fascinating. She passed away at 101 in 2002 I think. Anyway I wonder what she would think of what is happening in the Panhandle right now. It’s heartbreaking
