  1. The whole ensemble is incredibly talented. Since I loved the movie so much was hoping the show would be successful. It’s fucking brilliant. Turning it into a show was killer. Not one episode has disappointed. So happy it got picked up for season 3.

Well except for the fact that with one you have a dead person and with the other Target is out some comforter sets.  Other than that they're 100% the same.

Small caveat: Target, Wendy’s, Autozone and any other business being looted did not murder George Floyd.

im not a pearl clutcher and don’t care to be stereotyped or have my beliefs questioned.  Just like many of you I would expect. I believe this was murder. I hope charges will be forth coming.

I also believe looting is wrong. It solves nothing. Riots and protests I understand. Looting banks and AtMs I do not. Burning down businesses I do not. But looting and riots go hand and hand. Riots start because of a grave injustice. We have that here. Arrests still have not happened. And should have by now. Hopefully they are forth coming.

im sure the looters would be fine with me looting their businesses or those of their family and friends because I am outraged that so many females are murdered by males every year that they have restraining orders against and those same women get no real help, if any, from authorities. If I thought that would bring about change I’d head to South Congress and hit as many businesses as I could.

  3. Keeping in mind the source, Daily Mail Has some pretty incredible pics of the riots.

I draw the line at looting. I fully understand the outrage and the riots. I get it. Looting helps absolutely nothing. Jmo. I also recognize that this tends to happen during riots and involves a much smaller percentage of people than those who are protesting and “rioting.” It hurts the goal of those rightfully upset and demanding the perps (cops) be arrested and face justice.

To be honest, the authorities/state/city government could have bypassed this shit by simply making an arrest. Enough time has elapsed since the incident that all witnesses/any other videos/etc...should have been done. The video speaks for itself. I do get you want to file the right charges etc so they stick but really what is the hold up on the arrests?

  4. Mark Hamil is a huge fan of the movie and the show. He absolutely geeked out when they said they wanted him to play a vampire.

Hamil: “I always get nervous about shows I like, because I find something I really love and it gets canceled. So I tweeted about it several times, trying to get my followers to give it a try. Apparently that’s what put me on their radar, and the next thing I know they asked me to come on the show. I thought I’d be playing a meter reader, or a next door neighbor, or someone at the Department of Motor Vehicles. When I found out that they wanted to play what was called in the script The Vampire, I just flipped out, I couldn’t wait.”

I almost didn’t recognize Haley Joel Osment as Topher the zombie familiar.

Exactly.  Fire and brimstone coming down from the skies! Rivers and seas boiling! Forty years of darkness! Earthquakes, volcanoes...

The dead rising from the grave!

Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... mass hysteria!

Best part of that whole class was when our professor started going into the Lutherans/Baptists/etc... shit. How communion should be done. Stain glass windows and where they should be. The musical instrument part was a huge deal back in the day. Only singing said some. Or maybe a piano. Or an organ. Honestly, I truly believe it went down to olds and how much noise bothered their hearing? I wrote a whole paper on how all that shit went down. It is fascinating the American denominations of religion and why they are what they are and it has little to do with anything other than people’s preferences. It was a great course. I just took it because I was a history major and it seemed interesting. Most of my classes had like 100-500 people in them. This one not so much.

  7. No other program has fallen off as much as UT has over the last decade considering how recruiting classes are ranked. Sure Michigan, USC and Florida State would be similar to a certain extent. 247 sports did a great piece on this a few weeks ago. It was a depressing but not surprising read. I did a ton of research after that. Comparing the recruiting classes over the last decade and with pre-season rankings, the NFL draft etc... and no one wants to read that shit. The bottom line is UT fell into an abyss that virtually not one major university has.

top ten recruiting classes since 2010 (sporting news):  10. Auburn,  9. Michigan, 8. Florida, 7. University of Texas,  6. LSU, 5. USC, 4. Georgia, 3. Florida State, 2. Ohio State, and 1. Alabama. According to most sports sites we have the 9th ranked class for this year.

pre-season rankings: UT is 14 by most sites.

sorry will stop with my research stuff. But nowhere in there is Oklahoma. In the last decade by all factors that sites compile that data: wins, conference championships, national championships, NFL draft, 4-5 star recruits etc. we best most schools with better athletes and yet routinely get beat on the field. We are always in the top ten of any category except NFL draft picks and conference wins.

coaching is obviously a factor as is the mindset of a certain portion of BMDs and fans. JMO.

    I will STFU.

  8. Dudes. He’s totally justified. Eve = original sin. Forget that Cain killed Abel (while murder is bad...) she ate the apple. Had she not done so there would be no sin in this world. Like there’d just be a bunch of happy people holding hands and shit. Plus, it’s in the Bible. Even the Old Testament says if someone offers you a decent livestock type animal for your daughter it’s a good trade and you should rejoice and send her on her way.

All that aside I grew up Church of Christ. Been a Methodist for some time now. Took a history of religion course at UT and found it very enlightening. Especially when it comes down to American religions and how some factions split off simply because they disagreed about whether or not musical instruments should be played in church.

  9. Lots of other racist shit happening bc of Covid too. My mom’s neighbor is an Bronze medalist Olympian/ hubby was an NFL WR/son plays hoops for University of Tennessee under Rick Barnes—anyway, she was telling me how people lately have been treating her—like she has Covid. Like a small store that is open to do monogramming but she walks in there and the owner is like “you can’t come inside. Don’t touch anything.” No signs on the door saying to wait outside or call ahead. Every damn store or business has them.  Door was not locked. She left. Was the only customer in there. A couple of similar instances she was telling me about the other day.

  10. I think if this horrific shit was happening on the regular to poor whites/drugged out whites you would see some serious militia stuff happening. JMO. If cops started blowing away meth heads during AW executions and at traffic stops or just while they are tweaking outside a Walmart or CVS you might start seeing a different reaction.

Third party sellers are running a scam where they generate a shipping label as soon as you order, even though they don't have the items in stock, and probably don't have any idea when it will be in stock.  That way they can bill you, claiming the order shipped.  Then it has to be delayed well beyond the originally estimated ship date before you can get a refund.  All the while holding onto your $$$ and earning 20%.

    • "When they touch down, we'll blow the roof, they'll spend a month sifting through the rubble and by the time they figure out what went wrong—we'll be sitting on a beach... earning twenty percent."
  12. I really wish I had not watched the video but I think everyone needs to see it. The video speaks for itself. Anything else that winds up on certain sites will have a  “spin” to it. It’s truly incredible though that you could show this video right now to 100 people and  not all 100 would see this as murder. But that’s unfortunately where we are. RIP George Floyd.

  13. 1) total bullshit apology. Any apology that begins with “I’m sorry if you were offended” Bullshit will always suck. Not that her apology makes things right. I just hate apologies that start like that.

    2) She’s got some other issues besides being a racist Karen. That poor dog.

    3) waiting for people to start using being “Covid crazy” as a new excuse.

    4) fuck her. Not a fan of internet justice either but the video speaks for itself.

@Bama Chick just posted but good to know the dog is away from her:

The dog has been surrendered to the shelter he was adopted from years earlier while the dispute is addressed, according to a Facebook post from Abandoned Angels Cocker Spaniel Rescue Inc.

"The dog is now in our rescue's care and he is safe and in good health," the post said.
