I do think I prefer the divorce songs to the love songs, in general. Although "Ride to Roberts" and "Wind Behind the Rain" are both pretty great. The love songs aren't bad by any stretch, but IMO it's never been his biggest strength as a writer ("Cover Me Up" and "Goddamn Lonely Love" being notable exceptions).
"Bury Me" really stands out as wholly unrelated to anything else.
He's definitely in a high point of his career lately. As is well documented in this thread, I wasn't a fan of much post Southeastern stuff until Weathervanes. But damn, he's been writing some of his best songs recently.
It was our best win, and along with almost beating Auburn, maybe the best showcase of the teams we can beat/environments we can win in when healthy.
You would beat us at any point since the Momcilovic injury.
Gilbert and Lipsey were both out the entire game.
Arizona and BYU (regular season) are the only games Gilbert has played significant minutes in in the past month. Momcilovic was out for awhile too.
That Arizona game a couple Saturdays ago is the only game we've played with our full compliment since late January I wanna say. Shortly after we beat you guys.
Aggy probably provides enough TV value that they would be taking a major pay cut in that scenario.
But given their NIL power, I'd think they would be far more likely to reach the playoffs by changing leagues.
Given our injury situation, I like this move.
Make up the inventory by scheduling a few more marquee non-con games that are spread around more and give you the same high end inventory with less grind.
I've ridden NWA twice, and I honestly think I liked Eureka a little better than Bella Vista.
Hobbs State Park is my favorite spot thus far. It's more remote than either of the others, and those trails are just perfect XC.
If that model comes to pass, I wonder if you see the bottom half SEC and Big 10 schools consider moving to the Big 12 or ACC? If they aren't getting paid more, what's their incentive to stick around and get their heads kicked in by the blue bloods? Like if you're a Mizzou who is forced to be paid on the virtue of what they bring to the SEC, why wouldn't you look at joining back up with your historical rivals? Or if you're Kentucky why wouldn't you look at going to ACC where you play your arch rival as a conference game and hook up with basketball schools? By the same token that would open up Clemson and FSU to the SEC in a way that's more profitable for all parties.
I could see that revenue model pushing things further towards Prestige Worldwide.
Awesome. I rode this trails about this time last year, and very much agree with your assessment. I put in 17 miles and absolutely had my ass kicked.
We're looking at spectacular weather the next few days (75 tomorrow) but there's still much moisture (likely) coming out of the ground to start riding. I'll be looking to hit my local trails tomorrow, but I think it's unlikely that I'll be riding anything other than pavement.
I sure hope so, because Iowa fans need a fucking dose of reality that up to this point they've been mostly born on third base, and not some kind of conference tent pole.
Because the SEC has agreed to collude with the Big 10 due to the Big 10's financial backing.
It would be nice if they developed a more adversarial relationship, because 75% of the Big 10 are schools that are no different in any meaningful capacity than the Big 12 and ACC schools, and just got lucky that Michigan, Ohio State, and Penn State are more altruistic than any other schools in their position.
The secret is sitting farther away from the screen.
I had it up on my 2nd monitor at work and almost had a seizure. Threw it on my living room TV and it wasn’t as bad
