  1. Be careful mentioning cats in a Baylor thread.
  2. And right before that drop, they showed this stat:
  3. Fifth shot. 5G. Lyndon Larouche was right!
  4. They might be leaning a little too hard into the Japanese stereotypes when Thrawn said to kill any space whale, though.
  5. Wife is in the market for a new car since some idiot rear-ended her on 360 last week and totaled her Model Y (to be fair, the Model Y held up well in the crash, but insurance ain't gonna pay to try to fix it). Anyway, she is only looking at EV SUV/crossovers. She test drove the Genesis GV70 yesterday and loved almost everything about it, surprisingly to her. The BMW iX is her favorite, but it's almost 50% more expensive. She's also looking at a slightly used Rivian R1S today (I have one, so we know what it drives like). Too bad Volvo pushed the EX90 out another year - we have a deposit for it, but the plan was to trade the Model Y when it came out. Now that we are probably buying something new that may not work. Unless we decide to lease for a year and just put the insurance payout from the Tesla into a HYSA or something and wait for the Volvo.
  6. The AG's attorney is waiving attorney client privilege on behalf of the client? That's a client's privilege to waive, not the attorney's privilege.
  7. For me? Probably November if it keeps up. But that would be 6 weeks of rain.
  8. Damnit. What did I miss?
  9. Apparently there was some "conference" with the lawyers, and after that conference Patrick came out and said she is "present but unavailable to testify."
  10. If we can get the Co-Op Statutes taken down, we can get this shirt sent to Angola.
  11. His question I was attempting to answer was how to prove he was the heir. If there's any question, he would need an Affidavit of Heirship. If whoever he needs to prove he is the heir is willing to take his word for it, then no need.
  12. I'll respond to your PM with more info not to put on the main / public board. Thanks. It's actually for my client's former spouse, and to pay my client a judgment, need to get a loan. The now former spouse is acting like taking out a mortgage is going to cots 10% of the loan amount, and is trying to use that the "reduce" the amount of the community estate to divide, and therefore pay my client a lower judgment.
  13. He needs to hire a lawyer, and probably file either a small estate affidavit or request an affidavit of heirship. Not me though, we do probate, but not in that neck of the woods.
  14. Asking for a client, not for me: If someone in the Austin area has a home that appraised for $1.1MM recently, and doesn't have a mortgage, what would it cost (not the interest rate, but the fees to the lender) to get, say, a $400-$500K mortgage. Have good income, and good credit, and other assets, so approval shouldn't be an issues. Are costs 1% of loan? 2%? 10%?
  15. When the Austin Police Union stops using this straw man as a bargaining chip.

    Steak

    You can say that again.
  17. What is Zach Snyder?
  18. For the shoe, or the pic of RT? The shoes are just on sale at Nike.com. https://www.nike.com/t/air-force-1-07-lv8-mens-shoes-7bCM7s/FB2048-800 (there's an extra 20% right now direct from Nike). The pic is on a coworker's phone from her son at a basketball camp, so can't link that.
  19. Yeah, the color isn't burnt orange, but I also have a pic of Rodney Terry wearing them from a coworker, so if they are good enough for the Men's Head Basketball coach to wear, they are close enough for me. And that sale price was hard to pass up.
  20. Unfortunately I don't do criminal law. But that would be a good one.
