  1. Good to know, since I have both Netflix and Disney+, but not Starz
  2. Welp, now everyone knows exactly what this gif is for iPhone users:
  3. breakfast club talk:
  4. I agree they stuck the landing, but it certainly helped that the source material was structured the way it is - 3 three-book arcs to resolve the main human conflicts in each arc in the third book. It also gives me hope that they’ll eventually finish the series (either as a few more seasons, or a movie trilogy) because it’s an easier sell - built in fan base, ending already written, and history of ending it (twice already) in a better fashion than most shows.
  5. I agree. It was disjointed. Editing and cutting some scenes would have helped it flow, and putting some flashbacks in a different order.
  6. I would start from the beginning because there was enough characters who were important that the show either combined or didn’t include. But if don’t want to do that, at least read Cibola Burn (what the 4 the season was based on) and the Strange Dogs Novella before you read the last 3. There’s enough from those two books that factor majorly into the last three that you’d be a bit lost without reading them.
  7. He told Naomi about it, and she told him not to protect her like that again. Did you miss that scene?
  8. We all know that tonight is the series finale, but what this tweet presupposes is ... maybe it's not.
  9. “They” being the Pykes or the Hutts?
  10. More Stephen Root please. He kills me in everything he is in.
  11. That Flemings is ass, my dude. Clientele is not doing them any favors at that location, and they were in the middle of a remodel in December (probably still going on) where they literally had folding chairs at some tables and really harsh bright lighting in the main dinning room, bathrooms were a literal shit show, etc. Won't be going back to that one.
  12. There's a Trucluck's over there. Not sure if that is what you're thinking of - it's not quite in the Gateway. NXNW also used to be over there, but it's closed now.
  13. Why not both? Seafood tower to start, steak for entree. And lots of drinks.
  14. It was open in December. Had my office Holiday dinner there right before Omicron Omicron'd. The Z'Tejas in the same parking lot closed. There is construction going on there, but Eddie V's was still open last month.
  15. I’d got to Eddie Vs over Perry’s for steak. It is in the Arboretum, which is a short drive from the domain. 5 minutes short.
  16. If you want a good coffee / espresso you should go to Turnstile at Burnet near Rutland (very close to the Domain, near the Austin FC stadium). I know the owner, but I don’t get any discounts or anything. He’s from Seattle originally and IMHO their espresso drinks are some of the best in Town due to his background prior to coming to Texas. They also serve beer and cocktails later in the day; and have a burger stand Tuesday - Saturday evenings with very good burgers. Its not fine dining but it’s a good option for a coffee in the morning or a drink and burger in the afternoon/evening if you don’t want to go far and get dressed up. https://www.turnstilebrews.com
  17. Craig Krenzel
  18. I thought this was going to be some sort of CTE effect thread, but turns out it’s just that people like to brag about test scores from decades ago.
  19. Correct. There’s 2 ways to be Mandalorian - be born Mandalorian or be adopted by a Mandalorian. Ironically Boba was “born” into it even through Jango was adopted.
  20. It’s explained in the prequels. Jango Fett is his father/Boba is a close of Jango (Jango was the basis for all the clones in the Clone Wars and Boba was his payment - one unmodified clone he would raise as a son), and Jango was Mandalorian. When Jango was killed; Boba took his armor and started wearing it when he grew up.
  21. The reflection was because the Matrix had coded their digital avatars (or whatever) to look like someone else so they would t be recognized. Bugs explained that is what made him so hard to find. She was one of the only ones who saw the real Neo when he tried to fly/walk off the building but didn’t fall. There was some throw away line about “we still haven’t figured out how the machines made you age so slowly,” so that was supposed to be their explanation - technology they can’t explain.
